Isaiah 58:6
"Is this not, rather, the fast that I choose: releasing those bound unjustly, untying the thongs of the yoke; Setting free the oppressed, breaking off every yoke?"
This is the year of mercy, what are you doing to make a difference. Yes we are to fast to honor God but we are also to reach out and help those in need. Help the oppressed by their conditions.
It doesn't take much, show that you care. Be attentive to ways that you can help. Speaking about your faith and how the yoke has been removed from you. Speak life during the day and let God shine.
Lord God, I thank you for answering our prayers. For being by our side and guiding our steps. Please help us today to see those that are in need and give us courage to respond. May we be a pleasing offering in your site. Amen.
