Daily Thoughts 1-31-2017 Mark 5:33-34

"But the woman fearing and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction."" ‭‭Mark‬ ‭5:33-34‬

You have heard the saying: confession is good for the soul.  We can not help ourselves when we are carrying the burden of sin.  We feel compelled to tell someone.  As I have grown in my faith, I view the Sacramento of confession differently.  The person I confess too is Jesus, the priest just happens to be sitting in the chair.  Maybe you don't believe confessions is necessary but isn't that taking faith into your own hands.  Faith is believing what Jesus tells us: "your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction."  It all gets back to faith, will you believe in scripture and the traditions of the church?  You can't have one without the other.

Dear Lord God, I only want to please You today, help me as I go about my day.  Thank You for the people I get to visit with, there is joy in hearing their stories.  Bless them Lord with Your peace, give grace to those who trust in Your word and may we all grow deeper in Your embrace.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-30-2017 Hebrews 11:33-34

"who by faith conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight." ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:33-34‬

We are all called to live a life of faith, to profess that faith outwardly.  Faith is action, it is believing in what appears to be humanely impossible and doing it anyway.  David had faith when he stood against Goliath.  What lions are you standing against?  What fire are you quenching.  In these actions you are being made strong, dare to do the impossible knowing that only God can make it happen.  Live your life in faith and be amazed.  Ain't that right Mac!

Dear Lord God, there are saints amongst us who live each day by faith, bless their efforts so that You maybe glorified.  Listen to those suffering Lord and ease their pain, turn their sorrow to joy.  Bring life into our world today Lord with each of our small acts of faith.  May the light of Christ shine brightly thru these acts of faith.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-29-2017 1 Corinthians 1:30-31

"But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, "LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD.""‭‭ 1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:30-31

All good gifts come from our Father in heaven,  use the gifts you were given in a way that honors our God.  How did you come to know Jesus?   It was God that showed you the way and it was/is your own free will to accept Him.

We are each wonderfully made and we each have talents that we are to use to glorify God.  If you hide them under a basket then as it is written: ""For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away." Matthew‬ ‭25:29‬.

Take that step of faith and get involved, do something to help the church, boast in the Lord by letting His light shine thru you.

Dear Lord God, I love you with all my heart.   I look forward to the day ahead, I look forward to going to mass and to receive Your living body into my spirit.  Lord, You are stronger than anything that comes against me, help me remember this in my moments of weakness.  Build Your church Lord with Your people.  Bring more foot soldiers to the fight so Your voice maybe heard even more.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-28-2017 Hebrews 11:8

"By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going."‭‭ Hebrews‬ ‭11:8‬

Faith is knowing yet not having the evidence. Faith is taking a chance without knowing it will pan out. Faith is believing and knowing that God is directing your path and knowing He would not lead you astray. Faith is taking a risk, going beyond the comfortable yet knowing this is where you are to go. The world wants evidence, followers of Christ obey Him without the evidence. Who are you going to follow?

Dear Lord God, You speak to us in our hearts, may we trust what You tell us to do. May we always follow Your direction even when the outcome seems unlikely. Lord God strengthen our understanding of faith, increase our faith Lord so that like Abraham we will receive the inheritance you already have waiting for us. I ask this in Your most holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-27-2017 Hebrews 10:39

"But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul." ‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:39‬

You are good enough.  I recall the story of Peter, stepping out on the water.  He was amazed that he was walking on water and then he started to doubt, what happened?  He began to shrink, he forgot that it was Jesus calling him forth and it was Jesus that was giving Peter the ability.   What is God asking of you?  Don't shrink back, step out on faith because God called you for this mission.  Keep your eyes on Him and do what He has already done for you.  You are good enough, we live by faith not by sight.

Dear Lord, at times I am sacred of where you ask me to go, give me the grace to go.  Give me Your words that empower my spirit to follow.  May those around each of us encourage each other to live the life God calls us too.  I ask that the words I use today bring life into others.  Thank You Lord Jesus for placing Your thoughts in my spirit this morning, may they go forth and move mountains.

Mary, Queen of Angels, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-26-2017 2 Timothy 1:6

"For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands." ‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:6‬

Paul's letter to Timothy is a reminder that we each are responsible for increasing the gift of faith God gave us. Paul, an instrument of God, laid hands on Timothy, but Timothy must stoke the fire. Are you keeping the fire stoked? Every day the world is working extremely hard to put the fire out but it is You that must stay focused and stay plugged in.

Dear Lord, Your reminders each day is a blessing. I am thankful for Your gift of faith, for the ability to see the world around trying to take away Your joy. Lord God, may Your Holy word continue to strengthen us and keep me focused on the true reward - eternity with You. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-25-2017 Acts 9:22

"But Saul grew all the stronger and confounded [the] Jews who lived in Damascus, proving that this is the Messiah." Acts‬ ‭9:22‬

In regards to the law, Saul was already strong, was it not him who went about persecuting the followers of Jesus. It wasn't until Saul encountered God that he found his true mission in life. Can't the same thing be said about each of us. We start out in life with a plan and only by the grace of God do we find happiness. Seek God with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. Today is a new day, continue growing stronger in the light of Christ.

Dear Lord God, I thank You for this day, I thank You for a sense of peace and calmness in a crazy world. May I continue to grow in Your light each day and may I continue to grow stronger. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-24-2017 Hebrews 10:10

"By this "will," we have been consecrated through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." Hebrews‬ ‭10:10‬

Jesus offers us the opportunity to become part of His family.  Is it our will be done or His will be done.  We each have free will to choose, to accept being consecrated.  Look up the definition of consecrated.

You choose freely to be part of His family.  Is it not written: "And looking around at those seated in the circle he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. [For] whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother."" ‭‭Mark‬ ‭3:34-35‬.   There is no pressure to perform for it is no longer your will but His will that will intercede for you.

Dear Lord, as I begin the day, I look forward to what lies ahead.  I know it is You working in me, all I must do is be obedient and freely offer myself for Your service.   Give me the grace to follow and not get in the way.   Thank You for a good nights rest and for Your protection of Your covenant family.   I ask this in Jesus name. Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-23-2016 Hebrews 9:25-26

"Not that he might offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters each year into the sanctuary with blood that is not his own; if that were so, he would have had to suffer repeatedly from the foundation of the world. But now once for all he has appeared at the end of the ages to take away sin by his sacrifice." Hebrews‬ ‭9: 25-26‬

Jesus stands in for us in our final time of need for those who claim Him as their Savior. He does this once on the day of judgement. Prior to that we are given the opportunity to know who Jesus is and what He did for us.

"If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand." ‭‭ Mark‬ ‭3:24‬ There is meaning behind the readings we are given each day by the Catholic Church. We must contemplate what that is and find the hidden gems that are within. I struggled this morning with: "at the end of the ages". It was in the way I was thinking, this had to be changed.

It was the sacrifice that Jesus died for our sins, it is on the day of judgement when we will claim the victory, that He freely gives. In the mean time, we strive each day to grow closer to the Creator of the universe.

Dear Lord God, I thank You for Your guidance each day to learn Your plan of salvation. May I continue to grow and seek You each day. I thank You for the guidance of Your Holy Spirit. May I be a blessing in Your plan Lord God and may I never loose sight of Your constant love You show us each day. In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-22-2017 Psalms 27:4

"One thing I ask of the LORD; this I seek: To dwell in the LORD's house all the days of my life, To gaze on the LORD's beauty, to visit his temple." Psalms‬ ‭27:4‬

We can never understand the magnitude of our Lord, He is so much more than we can imagine.  As you gaze upon Him today, think about what it means to spend eternity with Him.  He created you for that singular purpose, to know Him and be with Him, in His house.  It is more than we can comprehend but well worth the effort.

Lord God, You speak to my spirit when I gaze upon You.   I thank You for your insight and for desiring to know what You mean in my life.  Bless this day Lord with the joy of knowing You.  Bless this day with Your beauty that surrounds us.  Bless this day with understanding.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-21-2017 Hebrews 9:14

"how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works to worship the living God." Hebrews‬ ‭9:14‬

Dead works, look around you at the culture we all live in.  How do you spend the time given you each day?   Is God part of your thoughts and actions?   We are each called as believers to live out our faith openly in front of others.  Our hope isn't on the material things that we each strive for.  They can not save, it is Jesus Christ, our Living Lord that brings joy into our hearts and souls.

Dear Lord God, as I live today, strengthen my Spirit so I may do what You ask of me.  My life is but a fleeting moment in time, may it be spent in serving the one true everlasting living God, Jesus Christ.  Bless this day Lord Jesus and bless the hands of Your people to do Your Holy Will.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers the day I took them by the hand to lead them forth from the land of Egypt; for they did not stand by my covenant and I ignored them, says the Lord." Hebrews‬ ‭8:9‬

Jesus is the new covenant, it is thru Him that we enter into heaven. Jesus does not ignore us, He waits patiently for us to become part of His covenant family. Grab a hold of His hand and be made new again. Realize what God's purpose is for your life, it is not to be in bondage to sin but to have ever lasting life. Grab a hold of the Master's hand.

Dear Lord God, it is a beautiful day, may I be attentive to what is going on around me. Watch over Your covenant family Lord God and keep us out of harms way. May we realize what is important in life and not get caught up in the things that separates us from Your loving guidance. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen. "While those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. May those who long for your salvation always say, "The LORD is great."" ‭Psalms‬ ‭40:17‬

You ever watch a child, they are so curious on how things work, they are always learning and seeking more.  The human spirit is made to seek.  We are never fully satisfied until we find Jesus.  We can continue searching for the secret to happiness but it isn't complete until we have accepted Jesus and our response back to God is to glorify Him.  The Lord God Almighty is great and way more than we can ever conceive.  Continue learning my friends and never stop seeking Christ.

Dear Lord God, bless this day with understanding and satisfaction. Fill our spirits with insights of Your living presence so we may respond to You in a greater way.  I thank You Lord for the wisdom that is spoken thru others.  Continue to prepare us for that final glory and may we never stop praising and worshipping the everlasting God.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-18-2017 Mark 3:5

"Looking around at them with anger and grieved at their hardness of heart, he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out and his hand was restored." Mark‬ ‭3:5‬

Jesus is angry, why? The Pharisees didn't care about those around them, they didn't have compassion for their fellow man, they were better than that. The man with a withered hand was being punished by God, they, the Pharisees, were good or so they thought. What about you, do you see someone in need or do you pass judgement on them? What about the man standing on the corner needing help, what do you see? God see's His creation that needs restored, be careful not to anger God.

Dear Lord God, we can become like the Pharisees thinking we have it all figured out. May we not miss an opportunity to help our fellow man, may we realize that it is by your grace that we are blessed. I ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit today to help me witness Your love in action. Give us hands of faith so we may do Your work. I offer this day to You Lord God, may I not waste it. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-17-2017 Hebrews 6:18

"so that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge might be strongly encouraged to hold fast to the hope that lies before us." ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:18‬

Our hope is upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.  I spent most of yesterday dealing with conflict on a number of different fronts.  It can be discouraging when all you want to do is help solve problems.   God tells us He will never forsake us.  Psalms 9:11.  No matter your challenge today, God has it handled so do the best you can and trust in Him.  The word was God, John 1:1, it is impossible for God to lie, trust in His word and go face the day.

Dear Lord God, each day brings new challenges, may I always keep You in front of me, may I always know that together You and I will accomplish our Fathers will.  I ask for the strength and understanding to be able to respond as You would Lord.  May I see with eyes of compassion to help my brothers and sisters find their way to You.   Give me hope in Your word and keep us safe today.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-16-2017 Luke 1:37

"for nothing will be impossible for God."" ‭Luke‬ ‭1:37‬

Where do you place your hope?  God is the only one that can do the impossible.  It is He who we turn to in our times of need.  Listen to what He speaks to your heart and follow His directions.  If the impossible is to be done then you must step out on faith and heed His word.  God hears you, be at peace and trust in Him.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that today is a good day.  I pray that I am patient today and always listening to You.  Bring peace into our hearts Lord, give us compassion for others and heal us from all afflictions.  You are mighty, Lord, nothing is impossible for You, when we place our trust in You.  Thank You Lord Jesus for another day to get better and grow deeper with You.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-15-2016 John 1:29

"The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world." John‬ ‭1:29‬

"I did not know Him" John 1:31a, I struggled with understanding John not knowing Jesus.  I mean didn't he jump in his mothers womb when Mary walked in during the visitation, they were cousins.   John must of known Jesus but didn't know him as the Messiah until the day Jesus came to be baptized.  What about you, do you know about Jesus or, have you met the Lamb of God, the Savior of the world?  We are each called to share our Savior to others thru our life, let His light shine thru the darkness.

Dear Lord God, it is You I seek may I recognize You in others.  May this day be offered up to You as a sacrifice for what You have done for me.  Give me strength when I am weak, give me courage when I am fearful.  Lift my spirit when I am down.  Only say the word and my soul shall be healed.  Jesus, I love You!!  To God Almighty be the honor and glory for ever and ever, Amen!

"Let the words of my mouth be acceptable, the thoughts of my heart before you, LORD, my rock and my redeemer." Psalms‬ ‭19:15‬

Do you ever listen to what you say?  The power of the tongue, it creates our future.  We started a cuss jar at my office recently.  Some didn't realize they were cussing.  Think about how those words are damming your present and your future.  Change your thoughts, this will change your words and your words will change your future.  Put God first.

Daily Thoughts 1-12-2017 Psalms 95:6

"Enter, let us bow down in worship; let us kneel before the LORD who made us." Psalms‬ ‭95:6‬

Have you considered you are wonderfully made?  God spoke you into existence, He gives you breath so you may live.  Not only that everyone you encounter today was wonderfully made.  Our lives are a journey to find the source of life, do not wander in the desert, hit your knees acknowledge God, seek His forgiveness and start living the life He desires for you.  It is a smooth ride once we figure that out.

"Rising very early before dawn, he left and went off to a deserted place, where he prayed." ‭Mark‬ ‭1:35‬

Jesus went about driving out demons from all who were afflicted.  I am sure the Son of Man could find no rest.  Our lives can be crazy busy, the quiet of the morning is a great place to pray and ponder God.  Like Jesus it prepares you for the day.  Listen to your heart and let God speak to you.  He will drive out what afflicts you so you too can find peace.

Dear Lord God, there is calmness in the quiet of the morning, fill our spirits with Your Holy Spirit.  Give us the tools that we need to make our paths straight so we may become ardent followers of You.  Bless this day Lord that you have prepared us for, protect the peace that You instill within us.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"For it was fitting that he, for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many children to glory, should make the leader to their salvation perfect through suffering." ‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:10‬

Are you being perfected?  We strive for perfection and never get there.  Jesus showed us how to attain perfection - doing the Fathers will.  In His daily walk, you never hear Him complain.  He humbly accepted what Father God gave Him.  Our reward is not here on earth, it is in heaven so continue seeking the Father and giving Him praise with your life.  Follow the example of Jesus Christ and He will bring you to glory.

Dear Lord, i am a sinner and fall short each day, please strengthen me for the journey ahead.  May i be obedient to Your Holy Will   Lord, pour Your grace upon those who are in need, may they see Christ perfecting them.  Guard my tongue today Lord, so I may follow in Your steps.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-9-2017 Psalms 29:1-2

"A psalm of David. Give to the LORD, you sons of God, give to the LORD glory and might; Give to the LORD the glory due his name. Bow down before the LORD's holy splendor!" ‭Psalms‬ ‭29:1-2‬

All honor and glory goes to our Lord Jesus Christ!  As I think about this Psalm, my mind goes back to all the successes in my life.  We can become prideful if we believe it was us who caused it.  We can also ignore or reject the gifts He gives us.   I know I am nothing without the breath of God.  God expects us to be open to His gifts and to use them.  He also tells us to be humble and give the credit to the Creator who give them to you.  Use your gifts and talents for the glory of God, He is King and needs paid back in full.

Dear Lord God, you have blessed each of us with Your ability, may we use these talents to build Your Kingdom.  I ask Lord that You remove any feelings of unworthiness because You are worthy of all our praise.  I Thank You Lord for answered prayers, I Thank You Lord for the ministry of God's Embrace and all the blessings that You enable thru them.  Watch over us today and protect us Lord God with Your mighty hand.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-8-2016 Isaiah 60:1

"Arise! Shine, for your light has come, the glory of the LORD has dawned upon you." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:1‬

Yesterday we had the wedding feast of Cana, and Jesus filled the vessels with new wine.  What a glorious day to witness Jesus perform miracles.  Today It is presenting of the gifts from the Magi. You are the vessels and you are the gifts that are brought to our Lord.  The Gospel is written so - "that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, in accord with the grace of our God and Lord Jesus Christ." ‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:12‬. It is His time to shine in YOU!

Dear Lord, may we recognize that our life is not ours, it belongs to You, if we choose.  May our hearts magnify the glory of our Lord.  May the wine vessels be brought into the marketplace and may the gifts You have been given each of us be used to build Your Kingdom here on earth. Thank You Lord Jesus for saving each of us, Thank You Father for sending Your Son and Thank You Holy Spirit for speaking to our souls. In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-7-2017 1 John 5:20

"We also know that the Son of God has come and has given us discernment to know the one who is true. And we are in the one who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life." ‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20‬

You ever doubt yourself in regards which way to move forward?  The Son of God knows the answer, for you are in Him.  You are a part of Him, accept the gifts He gives you and trust in His direction.  You are in Jesus Christ, He wants what is best for you and those that belong to you.

Dear Lord Jesus, You never let us down when we place our trust in You, Thank You for blessing each of us every single day of our lives.  I ask for peace in my heart today, peace to know the way forward.  I ask for an out pouring of the Holy Spirit and I ask for Your Holy will to be accomplished in our lives so Your Kingdom may grow exponentially.  I ask this in Your Holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-6-2016 1 John 5:6

"This is the one who came through water and blood, Jesus Christ, not by water alone, but by water and blood. The Spirit is the one that testifies, and the Spirit is truth." ‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:6‬

Water and blood, speaks of Jesus baptism and His death.  His life is the testimony of how to live.  He is the Alpha and the Omega.  Our journey thru life will be our testimony, this is what will be presented to God on judgement day.  Will your life be based upon the spirit of truth or the spirit of me?  It is the blood of Jesus that gives us the spirit of truth.  All praise and honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Dear Lord Jesus, Your life speaks to us, may I follow it to the best of my abilities.  I ask that I see as You would see today.  I ask that I think as You would think today.  I ask that I respond as You would respond today.  Please forgive me when I slip up and get ahead of You.  Bless this day Lord and may Your Holy Will be done in all of our lives thru the spirit of truth.  To You be the honor and the glory, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Angels, pray for us.

Have a blessed day, guard your tongue.

Daily Thoughts 1-5-2017 1 John 3:20-21

"in whatever our hearts condemn, for God is greater than our hearts and knows everything. Beloved, if [our] hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence in God" ‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:20-21‬ ‭

"Follow your heart", I believe in this saying if you believe in God.  There are times in our lives that we have to  just follow our hearts.  Your head is telling you one thing but your heart is saying something else.  God has never steered me wrong when I live this way, my brain has gotten me into some difficult situations.  God speaks to us in our hearts, what is He telling you, continue what you are doing or change course?

Dear Lord, You amaze me each day with all Your blessings, I thank You and I give You all the glory.  Thank You Lord for the clarity in the morning and throughout the day.  I ask for special blessings upon my friends Lord Jesus, they have each been called for a purpose may they hear Your calling in their hearts and act upon it.  Thank You Lord for all that you do for us, it is truly amazing, may I continue to see with eyes of faith.  In Your most holy name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Mother of intercessions, pray for us.

Take a minute and listen to this, please.

Daily Thoughts 1-4-2016 John 1:36

"and as he watched Jesus walk by, he said, "Behold, the Lamb of God." John‬ ‭1:36‬

Why did John call Jesus, "the lamb of God?"  A lamb in those days was used as a sin offering to God at His altar.  A lamb is peaceful as it is being lead to the slaughter. John was foretelling of what would happen to Jesus and why He came.   Are you peaceful in your daily trials?   I believe Jesus challenges us to respond as He did, peacefully and with blessed assurance.   Would you recognize the lamb of God if he walked by, or are you too busy fighting?

Dear Lord God, come live in me in such a way that I respond as You would.  Breath in me Your Holy Spirit.  May I see with Your eyes of faith and not my own.  I thank You Lord for the sin offering You made for me, You are the Lamb of God.  Bring peace into our families and may we always trust in You.  I pray for my brothers and sisters today, please strengthen them on their journey.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-3-2016 John 1:12

"But to those who did accept him he gave power to become children of God, to those who believe in his name,". John‬ ‭1:12‬

What does it mean to be a child of God?  God sent His Son Jesus so that we may accept Him as the living Lord and the Lord of our salvation.  The power the Father gives His children is to be able to deal with what ever life brings you.  To know that He has a purpose in everything as long as we are following His direction.  He gives us His Holy Spirit who will help guide us if we ask for help.  Have You accepted Him or are you still trying to live life your way?  Jesus, I trust in You.

Dear Father God, I thank You for another day, I thank You for leading, guiding and directing my life.  I thank You Lord for always being by my side.  I thank You Lord for coming to my aid when I call.  I thank You Lord for answered prayers and I thank You Lord for the unanswered prayers.  I thank You for Your Holy Spirit and for Your breath of life.  I thank You Lord that I accepted You as Lord and Master of my life.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-2-2017 1 Peter 5:10

"The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory through Christ [Jesus] will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little."  ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:10‬

I received this email from a friend recently who had been dealing with something in his life.

When we suffer we think we are all alone, or maybe God is punishing us and we begin to feel sorry for our selves. Thinking of the birth of Christ in a cave, the family's escape into Egypt, St. Simeon's prediction that Marys own heart would be pierced. Even the parents of God suffered! My recent trial has brought me closer to our Lord and I can look back and see the spiritual fruits of it now.

We all suffer trials in our lives and maybe don't understand why.  Jesus suffered tremendously for each of us, know that there is a resurrection or spiritual fruits waiting at the end.  The word of God is truth.

Dear Lord, I thank You and praise You for all Your blessings even the trials we face.  May Your voice be heard this morning, may the hope of Christ bring us spiritual fruits that can not be taken away.   Thank You Lord for another day to assist You.  In Jesus name, amen.

Mary, Mother of Christ, pray for us.

A Hail Mary for each of us today- Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you, blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

New Year Thoughts 1-1-2017 Psalm 100

"A psalm of thanksgiving. Shout joyfully to the LORD, all you lands; serve the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful song. Know that the LORD is God, he made us, we belong to him, we are his people, the flock he shepherds. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name; good indeed is the LORD, His mercy endures forever, his faithfulness lasts through every generation."  ‭Psalms‬ ‭100:1-5‬

As we close another year and begin anew help us all to be thankful, and grace filled as we continue to celebrate The Birth of Our Lord and Redeemer "Jesus" .

We as christian followers recognize the need to be of use somewhere in this earthly kingdom, and with your help and insight we all have a part in making our places of work what they are right here and now today. Lord we ask your continued blessings upon us always, in our homes, at our businesses bless all aquiantances with good health, and for strength, protection, and courage as we move into this new year 2017, with new energy, and new demands .  AMEN

Reflection by Darry M

Dear Heavenly Father, as we begin anew, refresh our spirits with renewed energy.  Help us in the coming year to do Your will.  Protect us in all that we do and may we never forget You are always in control.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Happy New Year and may our Mother Mary bless you.
