Daily Thoughts 1-31-2017 Mark 5:33-34

"But the woman fearing and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction."" ‭‭Mark‬ ‭5:33-34‬

You have heard the saying: confession is good for the soul.  We can not help ourselves when we are carrying the burden of sin.  We feel compelled to tell someone.  As I have grown in my faith, I view the Sacramento of confession differently.  The person I confess too is Jesus, the priest just happens to be sitting in the chair.  Maybe you don't believe confessions is necessary but isn't that taking faith into your own hands.  Faith is believing what Jesus tells us: "your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction."  It all gets back to faith, will you believe in scripture and the traditions of the church?  You can't have one without the other.

Dear Lord God, I only want to please You today, help me as I go about my day.  Thank You for the people I get to visit with, there is joy in hearing their stories.  Bless them Lord with Your peace, give grace to those who trust in Your word and may we all grow deeper in Your embrace.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.
