Daily Thoughts 1-2-2017 1 Peter 5:10

"The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory through Christ [Jesus] will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little."  ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:10‬

I received this email from a friend recently who had been dealing with something in his life.

When we suffer we think we are all alone, or maybe God is punishing us and we begin to feel sorry for our selves. Thinking of the birth of Christ in a cave, the family's escape into Egypt, St. Simeon's prediction that Marys own heart would be pierced. Even the parents of God suffered! My recent trial has brought me closer to our Lord and I can look back and see the spiritual fruits of it now.

We all suffer trials in our lives and maybe don't understand why.  Jesus suffered tremendously for each of us, know that there is a resurrection or spiritual fruits waiting at the end.  The word of God is truth.

Dear Lord, I thank You and praise You for all Your blessings even the trials we face.  May Your voice be heard this morning, may the hope of Christ bring us spiritual fruits that can not be taken away.   Thank You Lord for another day to assist You.  In Jesus name, amen.

Mary, Mother of Christ, pray for us.

A Hail Mary for each of us today- Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you, blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.
