"Not that he might offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters each year into the sanctuary with blood that is not his own; if that were so, he would have had to suffer repeatedly from the foundation of the world. But now once for all he has appeared at the end of the ages to take away sin by his sacrifice." Hebrews 9: 25-26
Jesus stands in for us in our final time of need for those who claim Him as their Savior. He does this once on the day of judgement. Prior to that we are given the opportunity to know who Jesus is and what He did for us.
"If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand." Mark 3:24 There is meaning behind the readings we are given each day by the Catholic Church. We must contemplate what that is and find the hidden gems that are within. I struggled this morning with: "at the end of the ages". It was in the way I was thinking, this had to be changed.
It was the sacrifice that Jesus died for our sins, it is on the day of judgement when we will claim the victory, that He freely gives. In the mean time, we strive each day to grow closer to the Creator of the universe.
Dear Lord God, I thank You for Your guidance each day to learn Your plan of salvation. May I continue to grow and seek You each day. I thank You for the guidance of Your Holy Spirit. May I be a blessing in Your plan Lord God and may I never loose sight of Your constant love You show us each day. In Jesus name, Amen.
