Daily Thoughts 1-31-2018 2 Samuel 24:10

"Now David's heart troubled him after he had numbered the people. So David said to the LORD, "I have sinned greatly in what I have done. But now, O LORD, please take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have acted very foolishly."" ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭24:10‬

Sin, a three letter word that impacts us greatly.  What was King David's sin that caused him and God pain?  I remember my first confession, don't recall the sins other than they were simple ones of a child.  As we grow into adulthood our sins become more complicated.  We don't even think of them as sins until we have already acted upon them like King David.  I was reminded of one of my sins this morning and I didn't even think of it as a sin but God has away of speaking to us to help us realize how we are sinning and don't even know it.  How sensitive are you to sin?  Myself not enough to realize I have sinned until I have.  Have you figured out what caused David's heart to be troubled?  It was the sin of pride,

Dear Heavenly Father, I am sorry I have sinned against You, help me better.  Change my heart so I can always love even when being hurt.  Put compassion into my spirit when sin lurks about.  Help me be super sensitive to sin before I commit it, I want to be better.   Thank You for Your love and the love of those You place along my path.  Bless them Lord with an abundant and trusting heart and forgive me for my small and weak heart.  Only through You will I grow stronger.  Bless our families with the love of Jesus and protect us today from all calamity.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Grace, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-30-2018 Mark 5:25-29

"There was a woman afflicted with hemorrhages for twelve years. She had suffered greatly at the hands of many doctors and had spent all that she had. Yet she was not helped but only grew worse. She had heard about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak. She said, "If I but touch his clothes, I shall be cured." Immediately her flow of blood dried up. She felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction." Mark‬ ‭5:25-29‬

Can you imagine living with an affliction for twelve years, trying ever cure and nothing working.  The frustration and helplessness must of been great.  Then you hear about Jesus, He is coming to heal a sick girl and you have heard about His abilities.   "If I but touch his clothes, I shall be cured."   What if this Jesus is the answer, she would try anything to resolve this problem so she acted on faith.   Sometimes God let's us deal with a problem until we run out of all resources and then we are ready for the Great Healer.  In my own life, I had tried many different things to be happy and at peace but never did I full heartily try Jesus until four years ago.  God knows the right time in each of our lives to make the biggest impact.  Jesus is the answer, was the answer and will always be the answer.   Have you met Him yet?

Dear Father God, You know everything in our lives and You know how and when to reach each person.  We may not be hemorrhaging but Your people are afflicted.  Show them Your Son Jesus in action, let them see how He has impacted others and how He is the answer.  I pray for all that are carrying pain from their youth and causing issues in their life today.  Heal them Lord, they are just like this woman in the story, have pity on them and send them Jesus.  May they be just like her and be ready to live in peace with Jesus Christ in their heart.  I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Daughter of Zion, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-29-2018 Mark 5:18-19

"As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed pleaded to remain with him. But he would not permit him but told him instead, "Go home to your family and announce to them all that the Lord in his pity has done for you." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭5:18-19‬

I wonder how this mans family was transformed by his conversion?  Jesus works through each of us to transform those around us.  This man was possessed by a legion of demons yet he went to Jesus to be saved, he knew Jesus was the answer.   How many of us turn to Jesus when we need help and are seeking the answer.  This man was a mess, chains couldn't restrain him, I doubt his family wanted the chaos around.   Now with Jesus at the center, I imagine a man at peace, he has possession of his faculties.  God transforms each of us so we may glorify Him and share with those around us what great things God has done.  Be a living example of the saving power of God and help transform your world.  You need help, go to Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father, I need help each day I wake up, I am nothing without you.  I am thankful You are with me and You teach me through Your Holy Spirit.  Transform my life so I may show and tell others what great things You have done.   Bless my friends and family Lord with peace, patience and a sense of purpose.  Give them Joy in knowing they are not alone and that You are with them.  Open us up to the greatness of Your grace and transform the world around us.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-28-2018 Psalms 95:6-7

"Come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you would hear His voice," ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭95:6-7‬

Do you give authority to God?  I watched a movie about mid evil Europe, and the people would bow down and kneel before the king.  They were given him authority over them and he was to protect them.  I think about our culture and how they reject traditions, there is a new and better way.  Yet Jesus, the Son of God, would go into the synagogue and worship His Father.  So as you kneel and bow down to God at church, think about what you are doing and give Him authority.  If your church doesn't do that maybe find a new one that imitates Jesus, He had it right and we are called to imitate Him.   "the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked." ‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:6‬

Dear Lord, You gave us an example that we are to follow, I strive to walk as You do yet I fall short.  Be greater in me and help me imitate You and Your actions.  As I go to church today help me think why I am there, it is to worship The Father and leave better than when I arrived.  May I hear Your voice and may Your hand guide me.  Father, I give You authority for You are greater than me or anything else.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-27-2018 2 Samuel 12:13-14

"Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD." And Nathan said to David, "The LORD also has taken away your sin; you shall not die. However, because by this deed you have given occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born to you shall surely die." 2 Samuel‬ ‭12:13-14‬

Does God change? Or do we change?  King David is acknowledging his sin and Nathan the prophet, an instrument of God, is forgiving him and giving him his penance, a harsh one.  God forgave David of his sin yet there was still a punishment, there was a consequence.  I know there are many who believe you don't need to confess your sins to anyone but God.  I also know there are many who don't believe in penance for their sins.  David was saved from death just like Jesus saves us from death, but what about the penance?  Maybe you are going thru some penance right now so you won't have to later.  I ask you again, does God change or do we?

Dear Heavenly Father, what situations in my life am a giving occasion to the enemy and I don't know it.  May I be super sensitive to the near occasion of sin by Your will and not cause myself punishment.  Breath Your Holy Spirit into me so I may understand more deeply Your word.  Bless those who are going thru purgation and help each of us see how our words and actions always have consequences may they only be good, for You are all good.  Amen!

Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-26-2018 Mark 4:26-29

"He said, "This is how it is with the kingdom of God; it is as if a man were to scatter seed on the land and would sleep and rise night and day and the seed would sprout and grow, he knows not how. Of its own accord the land yields fruit, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. And when the grain is ripe, he wields the sickle at once, for the harvest has come." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:26-29‬

The seed is the word of God implanted within each of us and of our own accord the land yields fruit.  In order for a seed to grow, it must be nourished, watered and be in the Son Light.  Do we allow ourselves to grow, do we nourish the ground, do we water the seed, do we sit still in the presence of God?  We live in a world that expects instant results, this isn't how God works.  The key ingredient is the Son Light, are you getting enough, it is your accord that allows it in.  Are you sitting still each day?

Dear Lord, You send Your Holy Spirit to nourish us, let me hear Him.  May I slow down and sit still so I may nourish Your seed that is implanted within me.  Teach me today as I go into the world to live the life You have given me.  May I nourish others and not discourage.  This seed wants to yield a healthy harvest, may my accord be Yours.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-25-2018 Mark 16:15

"He said to them, "Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature." Mark‬ ‭16:15‬

What did Jesus do with His life when He walked on this planet?  He proclaimed the Living Word of God, He pointed to the Father with His entire being.  His purpose and mission was to fulfill the gospel that had already been written about Him.  He willing accepted what came His way and always pointed to the Father.  In the great commissioning, Mark 16:15, He tells us to go do what He has already done.  Are you proclaiming the gospel with your lives?  Are you doing as Jesus did, pointing the way to salvation?  Are you making it look attractive, are you sharing the joy in Christ?  Keep your eyes on Jesus, He is the way, the truth and the life!

Dear Father God, my eyes are fixed on You.  You speak life to my spirit, You give me hope even in the trials.  You are there with me and I see You.  Thank You for another day to live my life for You.  Bring peace into this world, bring joy into this world and guide each of us to walk in faith so we can proclaim Your word without saying anything.  I ask this in Jesus's name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Peace, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-24-2018 Mark 4:11-12

"He answered them, "The mystery of the kingdom of God has been granted to you. But to those outside everything comes in parables, so that 'they may look and see but not perceive, and hear and listen but not understand, in order that they may not be converted and be forgiven.'"" ‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:11-12‬

I have a friend/mentor who says your life is a parable.  What part of the scripture is your current life, which story do you relate to?  Maybe you don't relate to the gospel because you don't see yourself living the gospel.  If this is the case you are on the outside looking in.  This past week, look back and see, perceive and understand for you are living the word of God.   Now are you the persecuted or the one doing the persecution?  Are you the one helping or the one needing help or the one too busy or afraid to get involved?  You live God's word each day, live them as Jesus would.  Be different in a world that denies Christ.  Live with Jesus on the inside and be forgiven.

Dear Heavenly Father, it isn't easy being attacked, it isn't easy to offer assistance when busy, Your Son Jesus never did easy.  Show me in my own life what I must do to be better.  Teach me Your parables so I learn and can be more effective.  Help me respond as Jesus did and help me get me out of the way.   Love me as You loved Your Son, for I am Your son.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Yahweh, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-23-2018 2Samuel 6:18-19

"When David had finished sacrificing burnt offerings and communion offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts, and distributed among all the people, the entire multitude of Israel, to every man and every woman, one loaf of bread, one piece of meat, and one raisin cake. Then all the people returned to their homes." ‭2 Samuel‬ ‭6:18-19‬

As I read this scripture this morning it reminded me of a Catholic Mass.  We are blessed to be in the true presence of God and we are given the Bread of Life before returning home.  King David did these same things thousands of years ago to worship God and look how God Blessed him.  This culture would have you believe that it needs to be new and different but what about the newness in God's word?  Do we need to run after a new fad or a new way to worship when God has been guiding His Church since the beginning of time.  He, God, hides all these gems within scripture where we never run out of finding newness in the old.  God Blessed David for being obedient and honoring Him, He blesses each of us when we do the same thing.  Do you know someone who has fallen away, help them see the beauty of the mass.  Help them dance with abandon in their hearts.

Dear Heavenly Father, You seek the lost, help them see You in consistency, help them see You and Your plan in the old.  Father we are here not to be entertained but to worship and honor You.  You are the Holy of Holies and we were created to worship You, May I never forget that.  Thank You God for answering prayers, for bringing peace to those in turmoil and thank You for being the rock, never changing and always new.  Bless this day and bless those who are finding their way home.  God You are awesome and You continue to amaze me, my heart dances.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Ark of the Covenant, pray for us.

Have a great day, God has already been there for you and He got it, trust Him and walk in faith!!!!

Daily Thoughts 1-22-2018 Mark 3:27

"But no one can enter a strong man's house to plunder his property unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can plunder his house." Mark‬ ‭3:27‬

You ever been stumped for words, well that is me this morning.  Where do I begin to convey a message?  I trust the good Lord above to instill the thoughts and begin writing.  On my own I am weak, I can not withstand the trickery of the devil but Christ has defeated him.   Never forget where your strength comes from, it comes from above.  It is Christ Jesus that breathes life in you.   The only way to beat a strong man is to find his weaknesses and lull his defenses.  My strength is God, so no matter how I feel or how things appear to be, I will never forget who has won.  Jesus conquered death and He has already won my victory, with this in mind, I continue forward.  The world fights against itself, just watch the news but Jesus has won, this is our victory.  Everything in between is just filler, keep your eyes focused on Christ and breath easy.  He has already won!

Dear Heavenly Father, You are my hope when things seem hopeless, You are my joy when I am at a loss and You always come to my rescue when I place my trust in You.  Help us focus on You, help us trust in You.  I pray for those divided homes, May they place Christ in the center and trust in Your guiding hand.  I pray for the protection of the unborn, for the mothers thinking about abortion, that they recognize the life within.  I thank You Father for giving me hope and to see the world how it should be not as it is.  In  Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of the Unborn, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-21-2018 Jonah 3:1-2

"The word of the LORD came to Jonah a second time: Set out for the great city of Nineveh, and announce to it the message that I will tell you." ‭‭Jonah‬ ‭3:1-2‬

So what city has God given you to announce His message?  I know you didn't sign up for that, you were just after the healing and maybe a little bread every once in awhile.  The Word of God is life, it calls us to action.  Look around you, this world is passing away a little bit each day, our children are loosing their innocence earlier and earlier.  Life is precious and you have tasted freedom, the freedom that only Christ offers.  "Jesus said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men." Mark‬ ‭1:17‬.  All He asks is to trust Him and follow, the actions are His, the words are His so let's go fishing!

Dear Heavenly Father, You feed the hungry and cloth the naked through Your followers, bless them Lord for following You.  You visit the sick and the lonely, You speak to those in prison, Bless them Lord for following You.  You teach the youth, heal the lame and make the blind see, bless them Lord for following You.  It is You Lord that speaks through our actions, move us to action.  Show the world that only through Christ Jesus is there true peace and happiness.  I love You Lord and I need Your help each day of my life.  Thank You for loving me in Your actions.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-20-2018 Psalms 80:2-3

"O Shepherd of Israel, lend an ear, you who guide Joseph like a flock! Seated upon the cherubim, shine forth upon Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Stir up your power, and come to save us." Psalms‬ ‭80:2-3‬

I watched the news last night and I seen a world fighting against itself, I seen my way is the right way and you are wrong.   Where is Jesus in all of this?  If we would engage in prayer, if we would let Him lead us, it would be different.

You are the ones who must let God shine, you must pray to Him and you must let Him have control in your life.  Pray for this world, pray for your friends, pray for those who are against you.  God's power is prayer, unleash it in your life and be set free.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for this world.  I pray Your power be stirred up and You come to our aid.  I pray more people turn to You and listen to You.  I thank You for Your Holy Spirit and His guidance this past week.   Come to our aid Lord and rescue us, open us up to the possibilities of life, if we lock arms and work together.  You are awesome God and I am thankful for being in my life and working with me.  Jesus You are my everything, be my guide today, tomorrow and forever.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-19-2017 1 Samuel 24:11, 13-14

"You see for yourself today that the LORD just now delivered you into my hand in the cave. I was told to kill you, but I took pity on you instead. I decided, 'I will not raise a hand against my master, for he is the LORD's anointed.'  May the LORD judge between me and you. May the LORD exact justice from you in my case. I shall not lay a hand on you. As the old proverb says, 'From the wicked comes wickedness.' Thus I will not lay a hand on you." ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭24:11, 13-14‬

How many of us would attack someone who was pursuing us, if they were delivered to you on a silver platter as Saul was.  I think about the business situations I am placed in and I know there are times I pounce.  Is this really what Jesus would do?  Those times we think we win, we really loose, because we have exacted our own justice.  David took the higher road and recognizes that God will exact justice.    Stop and look at your own situations, where are you not sharing Jesus but actually doing the work of the devil.  Now what can you do differently.  I know the restraint isn't easy but neither was David's.

Dear Heavenly Father, I lay myself down at your feet and ask for mercy.  I do not respond as You do and I am sorry.  Give me strength and restraint during those times I am being challenged and tempted to respond.  I wanna be like You yet I recognize I am a long way away.  May I remember it is You who will exact justice.  It is You who takes care of our needs.  It is You who loves us unconditionally.  Bless this day Lord with Your presence.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-18-2018 Psalms 56:13-14

"I have made vows to you, God; with offerings I will fulfill them, For you have snatched me from death, kept my feet from stumbling, That I may walk before God in the light of the living." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭56:13-14‬

If you are reading this today, where has God snatcher you from death?  That period of your life where you began to walk in the light of Christ.  It was and is a wonderful way to live but too many times we slip off the path and find ourselves in a mess.   We rely upon our own strength and not the strength of Jesus.  Walk in the light of Christ for He will illuminate your way.  Do you know why you veered off the path because you didn't take Jesus with you, you got comfortable and stumbled.   We will all walk before God, if we are to live eternally we must learn to walk in the light of Jesus here.   I am still learning and when I stumble, I pick myself up, dust myself off and go again, you can do the same.  Have a blessed day because Jesus is pointing the way.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for a friend who needs strength, give him and his family strength to begin again.  Make him deaf to the trickery of the devil.  Allow him to see the light of Christ and may he walk with you. Thank You God for always being there to help me up.  Thank You for shining Your light in my life.  May each of us remember we are Light barer's and we are to pass Your light on so others can see.  God be with us today and may the light of Christ be our hope.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-17-2018 1 Samuel 17:47

"All this multitude, too, shall learn that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves. For the battle belongs to the LORD, who shall deliver you into our hands."" ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭17:47‬

What battles are you dealing with in your life?   Is it your battle or the Lords?  A lot of times we want to take matters into our own hands and go fix it but do we prepare ourselves for the battle?   What skills and talents has God given you?  David had a sling and a fearless attitude.  God gave him the ability to take out his attackers with a small stone, not your conventional way to go into battle.  What has God given you that will render the enemy defenseless?  He has prepared you for this but remember the battle is the Lords.  If it is your battle and not His then He will not be by your side.  "Do what is right and good in the sight of the LORD, that it may go well with you, and you may enter in and possess the good land which the LORD promised on oath to your ancestors," Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:18‬

Dear Father God, I trust in You that You are leading me.  You have prepared me for this time in my life and You have given me the strength and ability to deal with these situations.    You have given us peace, may we be at peace with our decisions and may You rule over us.  I pray for a family who lost a father and a husband recently.  He fought the good fight in this world, may he rest in Peace.  I also pray for an ACTS brother who is facing prostrate cancer, may the peace of Christ be in his heart and the love of Jesus on his tongue, He is a good man!  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Hope, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-16-2018 Psalms 89:21-22

"I have chosen David, my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him. My hand will be with him; my arm will make him strong." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭89:21-22‬

Any idea what made David so special?  Was it the oil?  If you are Catholic you were anointed with holy oil at Baptism.  If you recall the story of David, he went out and slayed Goliath.  Is this what made David special?  In a sense you can say yes but it wasn't this one act.  The answer is in the first line, "my servant", David had a servants heart and willingly responded to God.  God was always with him and he grew strong because he did what God asked of him.   David gave God lordship of his life and entrusted himself to God.  You too have been anointed, you have been chosen.  David is special because he responded to God's call, so go and make a difference.

Dear Heavenly Father, I love You and I thank You for being patient with me.  You know I don't always respond to Your call but You are teaching me and You continue to call.  Give me a servants heart like David.  May I listen and respond so that You will make me strong  and we are united.  I pray for those who have responded and are facing the unknown, let them know You are with them.  Help those on the fence to take the leap of faith so they realize that You are God and nothing is impossible.  I pray for those that are cold and hungry this morning, send them a David.  I ask these things in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of the afflicted, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-15-2018 1 Samuel 15:23

"For a sin of divination is rebellion, and arrogance, the crime of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, the LORD in turn has rejected you as king." 1 Samuel‬ ‭15:23‬

What is divination?  To try and see into the future by supernatural means.  And arrogance is to think you are better than someone.   Saul got to the point he thought he was better than God, that he didn't need God.  He was King and not God.  Can we do the same in our lives?  Maybe every thing is going perfect and you begin to neglect God or let your guard down.   Over time you slowly drift away, thinking you know better.   Your prayer life begins to slip and you justify it.  We too can fall into the same trap, take time each day and be obedient to Your creator, He is greater than anything you create.

Dear Lord God, I too can be like Saul, thinking I know better but I need You in my life.  I need to hear You and sense You are there.   Guide me this coming week and watch over those who are in Your care.  Triune God be my all.  Triune God be my all.  Triune God be my all.

Daily Thoughts 1-14-2018 John 1:35-36

"The next day John was there again with two of his disciples, and as he watched Jesus walk by, he said, "Behold, the Lamb of God."" John‬ ‭1:35-36

John's life was dedicated to doing the will of God.  All His actions pointed toward Jesus, the Lamb of God.  What about our own life's, what do they point towards.  "Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ?" ‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:15‬a. Are our bodies pointing toward the suffering of Christ in His last hours with our sin or do they point towards the risen Lord by doing the will of God like John.  We choose how we point towards Christ, one brings Him pain and suffering, the other brings him Joy and comfort.

Dear Heavenly Father, I know there are times I am not doing Your will and that hurts You, I am sorry.  Like John, I want to point the way towards you with actions that brings You comfort.  Watch over this day and guide my ways that brings both of us peace.   I ask this in Your most Holy Name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-12-2018 Mark 2:7-8

""Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming. Who but God alone can forgive sins?" Jesus immediately knew in his mind what they were thinking to themselves, so he said, "Why are you thinking such things in your hearts?" Mark‬ ‭2:7-8‬

A little food for thought.  What things do we not believe and have to see to believe, is that really faith or is it head knowledge.  The scribes couldn't believe that this guy could forgive sins, only God can do that.  Jesus seen their reaction to what He said and knew immediately their thoughts.  Then He proved He was God by healing the paralytic. Once again, this is head knowledge not heart knowledge.  We are human and want proof but God wants our heart and our brain.  If we have to see to believe, we are not operating on faith.  What things is God asking of you and you are waiting on proof?   Operate on faith and trust in God.

Dear Lord God, increase my faith and help my unbelief.  Show me the areas I need to increase my faith and take me by the hand and move me in faith.  Speak to my heart so I may learn to hear Your voice and trust in You.  Protect me and my family from the evil one.  I thank You for engaging my thoughts and helping me ponder, it is in the silence that You are heard.  Bless this day Lord and protect those that are placed in each of our lives, may their faith increase as our love for You increases.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of Faith, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-11-2017 1 Samuel 4:3

"When the troops retired to the camp, the elders of Israel said, "Why has the LORD permitted us to be defeated today by the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the LORD from Shiloh that it may go into battle among us and save us from the grasp of our enemies."" ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭4:3‬

The Israelites were defeated by the Philistines again and lost the ark, why?  God was with them but were they doing what God asked of them or were they treating God like a good luck charm?  Think about how you treat God, is God your insurance when you get into trouble?  Why did you get into trouble, God wants to prevent the trouble but He will let you suffer through it.  He isn't there only in our troubles, He is there all the time.  Speak to Him and learn from Him, you are going to learn anyway, might as well be the easy lesson versus the hard lesson.  God waits for you to reach out, do it everyday, He is not a good luck charm, He is God, the One who gives you breath!

Dear Father God, You are in me, help me listen and talk to You all the time.  Help me pray to You when I don't know the next step, help me confirm with You when I do so we are in agreement.  May my prayer life increase so we are in union.  Thank You for Your grace yesterday in all the day, it was a good day for we were together.  Bless this day Lord and I pray for the high school kids this morning, may they apply what You taught them in their daily lives.  Teach them the power of prayer and bring others to help.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-10-2018 Psalms 40:7-9

"Sacrifice and offering you do not want; you opened my ears. Holocaust and sin-offering you do not request; so I said, "See; I come with an inscribed scroll written upon me. I delight to do your will, my God; your law is in my inner being!"" Psalms‬ ‭40:7-9‬

"You opened my ears", there is something to be said about reading scripture first thing in the morning.  A little bit each day and I know God is putting His will within me.  God gave us ears to hear so we can think and ponder upon His words.  He doesn't want some blind response, He wants your heart and a willing heart.  If you read today's gospel, Jesus speaks very plainly.  "He told them, "Let us go on to the nearby villages that I may preach there also. For this purpose have I come."" ‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:38‬.  If He is preaching, we are hearing.  When we are listening and thinking, God is working within.  Together You and Him are working on the inner self.   Listen and think, 🤔, His law is in your inner being.

Dear Lord, I thank You for the joy!  I thank You for being able to ponder Your word and for You working within.  You are being written on my heart.  Open my ears Lord and make way for You to grow.  I look forward to this day, may You be on my lips as You are in my heart.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-9-2018 I John 5:4

"for whoever is begotten by God conquers the world. And the victory that conquers the world is our faith." 1 John‬ ‭5:4‬

Jesus conquered the world, He didn't do this as God but as man, just like you and me.  His faith in His Father carried Him forward, He wanted to do His Fathers will so no matter the challenges, He continued forward.   What about you, how is your faith?  There are days that is seems like it isn't there but you continue forward.  This is just like Jesus, when He finished His mission and had shed His last drop of blood there was only Mary and John at His feet.  Surely didn't look like conquering the world from man's perspective.  His faith conquered death and the world when He rose three days later.  Your faith in Christ Jesus will conquer the world no matter what it looks like now.  You are begotten by God and you are His.  Keep the faith.

Dear Lord God, I pray for another good day, I pray for Your help in conquering the world.  Increase my faith and belief as I go into the world today.  I pray for a friend that lost his mother yesterday and won't be able to attend the funeral.  May You give him peace and console his heart this coming week.  Help us each see how we can help others grow in their faith and learn to trust in You for all our needs.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Peace, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-8-2018 Isaiah 42:6-7

"I, the LORD, have called you for justice, I have grasped you by the hand; I formed you, and set you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations, To open the eyes of the blind, to bring out prisoners from confinement, and from the dungeon, those who live in darkness." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭42:6-7‬

You make a difference in the lives of others, in following God, you are called to lead.  How are others to see if we are not living out our faith.  Live your faith boldly, encourage others with your actions and they don't have to be grand actions.  The sign of the cross, blessing before a meal, a smile to a stranger, compassion upon a family member, all these speak of your faith in Christ Jesus.  If we don't live it then what is the purpose of life, it surely isn't to gather things for there is no hope in that.  You have been called and He has grasped you by the hand, live it.

Dear Heavenly Father, I look forward to the week, embolden me this coming week to go beyond my normal activities, give me the strength and courage to live out Your faith in me.  I thank You for being in Your Covenant Family, may I live the life You have called me too.  Bless this day Lord with peace and may I not get caught in the snares of the devil.  I ask this in Your Most Holy Name, Yahweh, Amen.

Mary, Ark of the Covenant, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-7-2018 Matthew 2:9

"After their audience with the king they set out. And behold, the star that they had seen at its rising preceded them, until it came and stopped over the place where the child was."
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭2:9‬

What guides you through your life?  Do you look for the rising star in the east and seek Him out?  Or have you been distracted by king Herod?  In life we all adore something and seek it out.  Is it Christ the King you adore?  Does your heart throb when in His presence?  God points the way to Him, we just have to follow and not get distracted by the things of this world.  Make this year different, do something that draws you closer to the New Born King.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for being manifested in the Christ Child.  I thank You for coming into my life and pointing the way. Guide me forward through life so I can be in Your presence forever.   I pray for strength to not be distracted by the ways of this world.   I pray Your Light shines through me pointing to You.  I love You and adore You, I am here to do You homage each day of my life.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of the King of Kings, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-6-2017 1 John 5:6

"This is the one who came through water and blood, Jesus Christ, not by water alone, but by water and blood. The Spirit is the one that testifies, and the Spirit is truth." ‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:6‬

Jesus comes to us through Baptism and through His sacrifice on Calvary.  You were baptized into the Kingdom of God what about your Calvary?  The trials and tribulations we face we have a choice to make, do we let them break us and our faith in God or do we do as Jesus does, look to the Father and seek His strength.  We must accept them and seek what is God wanting from you in them.  Jesus's first miracle was turning water into wine.  He is cleansing us of all attachments other than the Triune God.  Look for the transformation and prepare yourself for the resurrection.  "Whoever possesses the Son has life; whoever does not possess the Son of God does not have life." 1 John‬ ‭5:12‬.  "For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink." John‬ ‭6:55‬.  Jesus has to be on the inside and we must accept the things that come our way and rejoice.  Live with Christ on the inside and thank Him for all that comes your way.

Dear Lord God, You show is how to live, You give us hope in the resurrection, You are changing us into the body and blood of Jesus.  Renew the Spirit within Lord and heal our afflictions, transform us from water into wine of new life.  Thank You Lord for the thorns that are causing discomfort, help me move beyond the distractions so I may only gaze upon You.  I ask this is Your Son's name, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of Peace, pray for us.

Prayers this morning for Carolyn, James and a little boy who has epilepsy.  May the wine of new life heal them from the inside out.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-5-2018 John 1:45-46

"Philip found Nathanael and told him, "We have found the one about whom Moses wrote in the law, and also the prophets, Jesus, son of Joseph, from Nazareth." But Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come from Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see."" John‬ ‭1:45-46‬

I was struck how Philip shared his excitement, he helped Jesus find one of His apostles.  He hadn't really started following Jesus and here he was doing the thing that Jesus wants all of us to do: to introduce them to the Son of God.  What about your own excitement is it believable?  Do you tell others "Come and see."  I must admit I find myself in a pattern and I don't want to be that way, I want to be like Philip.

Dear Heavenly Father, today is a new day, a new beginning, how can I do Your will today?  I want to be like Philip, help me be whom You need me to be.  Increase in me so I may decrease.  I don't want the same routine, it is a new year, I trust in You.  Be the difference in my life so that others want to come and see You.  God be my everything.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-4-2018 John 1:38

"Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them, "What are you looking for?" They said to him, "Rabbi" (which translated means Teacher), "where are you staying?"" John‬ ‭1:38‬

What are you looking for?  You are following Jesus and He asks you, what are you looking for?   How would you answer the question?  The two disciples wanted to be taught by the Lamb of God, they wanted to learn and be with Christ, what about you.  What is it you want from the Lamb of God this year?  Have a conversation with Him and learn from Him in a one on one relationship.  Answer His question for Jesus wants to give what His disciple needs but we have to answer the question.

Dear Lord, I want a deeper relationship with You, I want to learn from You and apply it in my life.  I want to spend time with You this year in an intimate friendship.  Teach me your ways O Lord so this world doesn't interfere with my peace or cause others burdens.  I thank You for another morning to think upon You and contemplate Your word.  Bless this day with Your presence Lord and watch over our family.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1-3-2018 1 John 2:29

"If you consider that he is righteous, you also know that everyone who acts in righteousness is begotten by him." ‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:29‬

"Know this, my dear brothers: everyone should be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath, for the wrath of a man does not accomplish the righteousness of God. Therefore, put away all filth and evil excess and humbly welcome the word that has been planted in you and is able to save your souls. Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves." ‭‭James‬ ‭1:19-22‬. God is righteous so in order for us to be righteous we must do as He does, act as He does and be as He is.  The Word doesn't come alive in us unless we are doing what It says.  Each day we strive to do right, we are doing our best with the gifts He has given us.  He is there to help You, so ask.  His Church is there to help you, so ask.  Confessions is a great sacrament to cleanse the soul and start over.  "So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew‬ ‭5:48‬

Dear Heavenly Father, I am a long way from being perfect but each day I get a little bit better.  Only Your Son Jesus was perfect so Jesus come live in me and perfect me into Your perfect image.  Help me act as You do so one day I can be with Your Father.  I ask this in Your Holy Name, Jesus.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of Virgins, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 1-2-2018 1 John 2:22,24

"Who is the liar? Whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Whoever denies the Father and the Son, this is the antichrist.  Let what you heard from the beginning remain in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, then you will remain in the Son and in the Father."  ‭1 John‬ ‭2:22, 24‬

Close your eyes and put yourself back in the days of John.  He is up against a Jewish population that denies Christ and he is trying to get them to see Him in a different light.  In Jesus own words: ""Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill." Matthew‬ ‭5:17‬.  Now in our current times how do we get others to see Christ?  There are a lot of antichrists for they have yet to encounter Jesus, the Risen Lord.  Be like John, the voice crying out in the desert and be a witness to the Risen Lord.  Be different than the current times, live for Him.

Dear Heavenly Father, it is a new year, a new beginning, Help me see things in a different light.  Show me how to be different in a culture that denies You.  May I live with hope in my heart, my I show joy on my face and may I speak of the Risen Lord on my lips.  You are Christ, Son of the Living God, come live in me so I can be Your voice in the desert.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 1/1/2017 Numbers 6.24-27

"The LORD bless you and keep you! The LORD let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you! The LORD look upon you kindly and give you peace!" Numbers‬ ‭6:24-26

It is a new year, a fresh beginning, an opportunity to add to what you already know.  A chance to dedicate your self to a deeper relationship with God.  This blessing was given to Moses by God to give to the Israelites.  I can't think of a better way to start the year off than being blessed by God, to know Him, to love Him and to walk with Him each day.  Moses has the Ark of the Covenant, we have Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Ark of the Covenant.  Begin each day counting your Blessings and thanking God for what you have.  If 2017 wasn't your year, Thank God for the Blessings He taught you.  Thank God for all things and continue to walk in His ways.

Dear Lord God, I thank You for all Your blessings in my life even the ones that are uncomfortable.  I choose to walk with You each day and I know You are with me.  May I do as You ask, May I not question why and may I continue to grow in You.  Watch over Your Family Lord and teach us Your ways.  I Thank You for Your Covenant Family to teach us and I Thank You for all the people that are in my life, may You richly bless them Lord and give them peace.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of Peace, pray for us.
