"The next day John was there again with two of his disciples, and as he watched Jesus walk by, he said, "Behold, the Lamb of God."" John 1:35-36
John's life was dedicated to doing the will of God. All His actions pointed toward Jesus, the Lamb of God. What about our own life's, what do they point towards. "Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ?" 1 Corinthians 6:15a. Are our bodies pointing toward the suffering of Christ in His last hours with our sin or do they point towards the risen Lord by doing the will of God like John. We choose how we point towards Christ, one brings Him pain and suffering, the other brings him Joy and comfort.
Dear Heavenly Father, I know there are times I am not doing Your will and that hurts You, I am sorry. Like John, I want to point the way towards you with actions that brings You comfort. Watch over this day and guide my ways that brings both of us peace. I ask this in Your most Holy Name, Jesus Christ, Amen.
Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
