www.dailythoughts.com Matthew 8:17 6-30-2018

"This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: " HE HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND CARRIED AWAY OUR DISEASES."" ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8:17‬

Give me Jesus.  I think of those who are sick and have various diseases, does Jesus promise to cure us?  He does promise us peace: "Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:7‬.  Those dealing with a sickness, Jesus does take their infirmities, carries away their diseases and walks with them.  In these moments in life we are drawn to God for He is the cure.  The best cure for any of us is a spiritual cure.  To know God with all your heart, all your soul and all your might.   Maybe the cure isn't physical but life eternal has no pain, it has ever lasting joy, it has no diseases or infirmities.   He is the best cure, Jesus on the inside heals all pains and then He does cure us.   Give me Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father, I see You in action, carrying our infirmities and healing Your people.  The physical may not be occurring as we would like but the spiritual is.  You give us ever lasting joy, may we embrace whatever cross we are given and honor You with peace in our hearts.  You are God and You got all of it.  We have nothing to fear, give us Jesus.  In Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Matthew 7:24 6-28-2018

""Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock." Matthew‬ ‭7:24‬

I will love the Lord, my God, with all my heart, with all my soul and with all my might. We are called to act upon the will and word of God.  To just listen and do nothing is vain, only when we act do we love God with all our might.  Pay attention to those who love God in actions, they have something special.  "Jesus answered and said to him, "Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him." ‭‭John‬ ‭14:23‬.   If you sense something is missing, could it be the actions?   What has God been asking of you and you have been ignoring it.  You are to build the house where He is to live.  A place where He can rest and see the fruits of His labor in actions.  "'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'" ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬.  Not sure about you but I want the Master Builder alongside, pointing the way.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for allowing me to watch others in action, not knowing the answers but walking in faith to what You are asking of them, their home is built upon rock, You, the strong foundation.  Bless this day Lord, let's us each know every thing will be ok.  Thank You for eyes of faith, I trust Your vision.  May I act today with Your mighty love.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com Psalms 119:33-36, 40.

"LORD, teach me the way of your statutes; I shall keep them with care. Give me understanding to keep your law, to observe it with all my heart. Lead me in the path of your commandments, for that is my delight. Direct my heart toward your testimonies and away from gain.

See how I long for your precepts; in your righteousness give me life." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:33-36, 40‬

Do we honor God with all our heart?  Is His commandments our delight?  What about gain, do we wait upon the Lord?  God doesn't change, He is the same yesterday, today and the same tomorrow.  "Therefore, you shall love the LORD, your God, with your whole heart, and with your whole being, and with your whole strength. Take to heart these words which I command you today. Keep repeating them to your children. Recite them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you get up. Bind them on your arm as a sign and let them be as a pendant on your forehead. Write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:5-9‬.  Our relationship with God evolves when we write His precepts on our hearts.  Can you say you love God more today than you did yesterday?  If the answer is yes, you get it, remember we will all stand before Him and we are to know Him and love Him.  We are to teach our kids this by repeating it in the morning and at night.  Be drawn to Him and watch your life change.

Dear Father God, You know how I enjoy this quiet time, You are drawing me closer.  You repeat Your message over and over again, may I do the same with those You have placed within my care.  Bless this day with good decisions, I trust in You for the outcome and the decisions.  Thank You for Your guidance, and for the desire to be in a relationship with You.  May peace be my trail all the days of my life.  Prayers for a friend on summer travels, keep them safe.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all!

www.dailythoughts.com 2 Kings 19:15-16 6-26-2018

"Hezekiah prayed in the LORD's presence: "LORD, God of Israel, enthroned on the cherubim! You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. It is you who made the heavens and the earth. Incline your ear, LORD, and listen! Open your eyes, LORD, and see! Hear the words Sennacherib has sent to taunt the living God." 2 Kings‬ ‭19:15-16‬

Does God hear us?  YES and YES.  I have been speaking with God on situations I have been dealing with and really seeking His help.  He does respond and has been given me guidance.  Most of the situations have been how I am responding and He knows this.  Do I always get what I am asking for?  NO, but I get what I need.

"How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:14‬

My message this morning is the relationship we each have with the God who created us.  If you were to stop and ask someone if they were going to Heaven, most would say yes.  If you asked them if they had a relationship with the Living God, do they talk with God and does He respond.  Most would say no, which is unfortunate.   He is the living God and He does respond, He really does.  I can't explain how he does but I know He speaks.  It isn't an audible voice but He always speaks.  Pay attention to what He is saying and how He speaks.  Learn to listen.

Dear Father God, I thank You this morning for the gift of silence and the gift of peace.  You know me through and through, and you know the outcome.  I trust in You!   May You use me today in what ever capacity that You need.  I maybe a little battle weary but I am only getting stronger with Your help.  We are Your people and You are our God, nothing can stand against us when we are together.  May the Living God dwell with in each of us and may we each know it on a personal level.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

"You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother's eye." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:5‬

Don't we all want to be heard?  I sit and think about my own life and how I create some of the conflicts for myself.  It is my response that the conflict comes from.  How did Jesus  remove the splinter from our eyes?  He died for us, He didn't try and convince others His way was right.  He lived it all the time, bringing peace where ever He went.  What actions are you doing that is bringing peace?  What choices are you making that is making you a hypocrite?

Dear Lord God, You have a way of shedding light upon a situations, as the Sun comes up over the trees help me live as You did.  Help me die to self so You can be more.  Forgive me for my short comings, over come my challenges and help me live in peace today.   Help me remove the beam in my eye so I may see clearly.  In Jesus name, Amen.

"You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother's womb. I praise you, because I am wonderfully made; wonderful are your works! My very self you know." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:13-14‬

The miracle of life, just think about how God forms us and gives us life.  The breath you breathe right this second is from God.  He never stops caring for us.  You can say this part of our journey is another gestation period as we are being prepared for eternity. The only difference is we have a hand in this period.  Do we worship God?  Do we praise Him, do we recognize we are still being wonderfully made.  Relax and praise God, He is still at work for you are still here.

Dear Heavenly Father, You never stop forming us, wonderful are Your works.  Increase within so I may praise and worship You more.  Thank You for the breath in my lungs, thank You for the beautiful noises of children that surrounds me this morning.  May I cling to You like they cling to their mothers.  Prayers for Dylan Gonzales, heal this little man and raise him up to bless others with His joy.  I ask this in the name above every other name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

"They abandoned the house of the LORD, the God of their fathers, and served the Asherim and the idols; so wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their guilt." ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭24:18‬

I watch this generation that is growing up, the pressures they face and the messages that the world gives them.  It is to worship various idols and to turn from God.  Give what has been given to you, share your joy with them and show them that living in Christ is so much more.  Do what Jesus did, walk in faith and point to the Father, little eyes are watching, what will they see?

Dear Father God, I thank You for the opportunities to share You with others.  Thank You for the simple gestures of faith that speaks of You and the love that You have for us.  Help us see those opportunities in ever day life to be Christ to others.  Thank You for the time spent as family, it is in these moments that God is revealed and His covenant plan for our lives.   Prayers for the teens retreat this weekend, may young hearts be set ablaze to share the joys of Christ.  Prayers for a family that is in my heart this morning, may the peace of Christ be upon them.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"Then he brought the king's son out and put the crown on him and gave him the testimony; and they made him king and anointed him, and they clapped their hands and said, " Long live the king!"" ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭11:12‬

Do you see to what lengths God goes to keep His covenant with His people.  We think our lives are different today but in reality they are not.  The stories of the Bible are played out each day in your own lives.  If you don't read His word you will not be able to see providence being played out in front of you.  Are you part of the guard that is saying, "Long live the King!"  To whom much is given much is expected.

Dear Father God, You are King or my heart, You are living out my bible story each day.  Bless this day Lord God with peace and understanding.  Open us up to the desire to know You and love You more.  You will never fail us in Your covenant to us, help us live up to our part of the covenant.  Thank You for Your faith and trust.   Prayers for a friend with a toe infection, may the healing power of God be upon him.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen!

www.dailythoughts.com Matthew 6:9-13 6-21-2018

""This is how you are to pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and do not subject us to the final test, but deliver us from the evil one." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:9-13‬

Do you chew on the words of the Lord's Prayer or do you say it with out really think about it.  Be deliberate when saying the prayer, think about each word and what is Jesus trying to tell us in this prayer.  Holy is His name, He is our Father.  What would Dad do if you were not keeping his name Holy?  Your Kingdom come only happens if we get involved and make it happen.  On earth as it is in Heaven, if we are living as heathens on earth will we get to Heaven even if we believe we are saved.   What is God's will for us,  to get to Heaven, live it here and don't delay the process.  Be deliberate in saying this prayer, may it become who you are all the time.  Jesus didn't mean it to be a casual prayer, He said it to be a way of life, it was His way of life.

Dear Heavenly Father, I love Your teaching that is always in front of us, in plain sight.  Help me be deliberate when reading and living Your word.  The spirit is strong but the flesh is weak, You are stronger than my flesh and You are in me.  Prayers for a friend who just under went hip surgery, may health be his and a speedy recovery.  Glory to the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

"But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you." Matthew‬ ‭6:6‬

I am in my inner room as I write this, there is peace and comfort here, quiet and gentle assurance that all is good.  God is telling me to carry this into the day and never leave the inner room.  Like you, I am sure the day fast approaches with its problems but God is always at peace.  He is reminding me that I can go to this inner room any time through out the day and pray in secret even in the middle of the storm.  God sees the heart all the time, don't forget your inner room is always there.  Close the door of life for a brief minute during the day and receive the graces God wants you to receive.

Dear Father God, I see the story life in different situations, thank You for given me vision.  Thank You for the beautiful rain we have received.  Thank You for answered prayer, thank You for strength and blessed assurance that all is well.  I am especially thankful for the gift of my spouse and the person You have given me to journey thru life.  She is a treasure and the perfect companion for me, continue to bless our marriage for another 31 years.  Prayers for a young lady who is receiving chemo, bless her with peace of mind.   I ask this through my brother, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

"in the morning you will hear my voice; in the morning I will plead before you and wait.  the arrogant cannot stand before your eyes. You hate all who do evil;" ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭5:4, 6‬

"No creature is concealed from him, but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account."
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:13‬.  God is all knowing and sees all, there is nothing that gets past Him.  He sees the heart, He knows the purpose, He even sees the outcome but the choice is ours.  Humble yourself before the Lord each day, be open to His Spirit, allow Him to guide you so you do not fall victim to the evil one.  Once again, the choice is yours.

Dear Heavenly Father, You are always there to make sense of my thoughts.  You see all, may I see what You see, keep me away from what may cause trouble.  Be in the front of my thoughts this week, guard my words and thoughts.  Thank You for Your love and guidance, bless those embarking on a journey, may they be blessed with peace and perseverance.  Overcome what ever challenges they may face and help them see You in the morning and through out the day. I ask this in the name of the King of kings, Christ Jesus, Amen.

"Every tree of the field will know that I am the LORD. I bring low the high tree, lift high the lowly tree, Wither up the green tree, and make the dry tree bloom. As I, the LORD, have spoken, so will I do!" Ezekiel‬ ‭17:24‬

God is Father of all, do we acknowledge Him in our lives?  If not, we will be brought down from mighty heights and wither up.  If we do, He will raise us up and we will spring forth new life.  Our lives go in cycles in every part of our journey we should give thanks to God the Father for without Him we are destined to fail.  You Father's remember there are little eyes watching what are you preparing them for?

Dear Heavenly Father, I am thankful that I can call you Father, I am thankful that we talk regularly and you lead me on paths known only to you.   Bless all fathers this day to recognize the joys and opportunities they have to share You with their families.  You are the source of all life and seek only to care for us, to prepare us for life eternal.  Help those who struggle with their own fathers, may they see the gift that You gave them.  Bless this day and Thank You Dad for always being there.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Psalms 16:8-10 6-16-2018

"I keep the LORD always before me; with him at my right hand, I shall never be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, my soul rejoices; my body also dwells secure, For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor let your devout one see the pit." Psalms‬ ‭16:8-10‬

Do we keep the Lord ALWAYS before us?  How can we do that?  "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"" Mark‬ ‭12:30-31‬  God Loves us unconditional do we love ourselves?  Take your eyes off of yourself, and selflessly give, don't fight back when the urge is to fight back.  Give when you really don't want too, listen when you would rather talk.

When raising children, what happens when they aren't following directions, you discipline them.  God Loves you that much that He wants you to get it therefore in not listening, He will love you.  Love your neighbor and love yourself.   "Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4-7‬.  Jesus did!

Dear Father God, why must we suffer when You plainly tell us how to live, why do some see and others don't.  I thank You for the discipline and the ability to listen.  My prayers are for those who focus on self, make them aware of the discipline they are experiencing.  Give them hope, a heart full of joy and a spirit that loves others more than self.  You know my spirit this morning God and what I am feeling, I love You with all my heart and I know You Lord me more.  Thank You. amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 1 Kings 19:14bc 6-15-2018

"but the Israelites have forsaken your covenant. They have destroyed your altars"" ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭19:14‬bc

Something for you to consider this afternoon that is in the word of God: "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:38-39‬.  God will never turn His back on you nor will He deny you His love.  As you journey thru life, don't make it difficult on yourself by denying Him.  Life is so much easier when we walk along side Him knowing He is there.  Otherwise, we walk in darkness and miss out on an incredible journey that is full of joy.   "and the servant who was ignorant of his master's will but acted in a way deserving of a severe beating shall be beaten only lightly. Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:48‬

Dear Heavenly Father, You selflessly give of Yourself to us even when we turn away.  Open our eyes to the beauty of life and the joy that we can live in the here and now.    Heal us Lord God from the pains of turning our back on You, You are always at the ready with open arms to receive us.  Remove the scales that cover our eyes, breath Your spirit into us.   Prayers for a family who buried their mother today, may Your grace be upon them.   In Jesus name, Amen.

"Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift." Matthew‬ ‭5:23-24‬

A message worth repeating!  Why would God repeat this message two days in a row?  Some of you are thinking it isn't God but me, the person writing.   When I seen the picture verse yesterday I had this thought that this was someone's answer.  Maybe you didn't take it seriously.  In what I do each day I get to hear stories of unforgiveness.  Holding on to those hurts and pains isn't healthy for the mind or the soul.  Pickup the phone and say you are sorry, stop holding on.   "You visit the earth and water it, make it abundantly fertile. God's stream is filled with water; you supply their grain. Thus do you prepare it: you drench its plowed furrows, and level its ridges. With showers you keep it soft, blessing its young sprouts." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭65:10-11‬.   God is working on preparing the soil, and will bless your prayer.  Holding on to the unforgiveness is with holding God's blessings and grace in your life.  Say a little prayer, and go for it.

Dear Heavenly Father, You prepare the soil for Your bountiful blessings, soften our hearts to forgive and be forgiven.  Protect us from any more pain and release the burden we have been carrying.  You died on the cross for this very reason, may we bury it in Calvary so we may be resurrected to new life in You.  Bless this day Lord, Bless Your people and thank You for loving a sinner like me.  I ask this through the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.

"Answer me, LORD! Answer me, that this people may know that you, LORD, are God and that you have turned their hearts back to you."" 1 Kings‬ ‭18:37‬

I love His answers when we speak to God!  Life has ways of throwing us curve balls and I don't always know how to respond.  I have a tendency to get up tight and let it chew on me, not a good feeling.  When we call out to God and are seeking help, He answers!   Be real with God, tell Him everything and do not hold back.  Elijah didn't hold back, He laid it all on the line and God answered with fire.  The warmth of that fire is amazing, grab a chair and be real with God.

Dear Heavenly Father, You heard me and answered.  I give You all of me, my victories, my disappointments, my struggles, my lack of knowledge, my eagerness, I give You all of me.  What ever You give, I willingly take.  This day is my prayer, You are The Lord, The Lord God Almighty, be my everything.  Control my thoughts, my actions and my desires, bring down the eternal fire and burn within.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"For the LORD, the God of Israel, says: The jar of flour shall not go empty, nor the jug of oil run dry, until the day when the LORD sends rain upon the earth."" ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭17:14‬

I reflect upon the last couple of days and I have come to realize that God is always there and is out in front.  "The Lord" provides in the times when there is plenty and in the times when there is little.   It is "The Lord" and a lot of times we fail to recognize who provides.  Even in the times of little God provides.  My message this morning is to stop what you are doing right now and praise God.  It is The Lord that provides, He gives us all that we need.

Dear Lord, help me give of myself today and not think about the cost.  May I praise you in the marketplace and bring light into a world that is covered in darkness.  Open my eyes to the possibilities and give You all the praise.  It is You that provides and I am but I speck of sand on the shore.  Prayers for a friend reading Job and this message.  Bless this day Lord and thank You for always being on my heart.  In Jesus name, Amen.

""Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew‬ ‭5:3‬

Always seeking, are the two words that come to mind when I reflect upon this verse.    You learn each day a little bit more but you also realize there is so much you don't know.  You truly are poor in spirit and therefore you never arrive while on this earth.   Listen to what God is saying to you, are you always seeking?

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the desire to know more and the realization that there is always more to know.  Make us poor in spirit so that we may be blessed by Your Holy Spirit.  Give us only what You can give us.  Thank You for the week that lays ahead, may I be humble of heart always seeking what You are willing to give.  To God be the glory, for ever and ever, Amen.

"But he said to them in reply, "Who are my mother and [my] brothers?" And looking around at those seated in the circle he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. [For] whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother."" ‭‭Mark‬ ‭3:33-35

I struggled this morning trying to make sense of Jesus's comment about His family.  After Church it was much clearer what message He was trying to convey.   We are all part of God's family if we are doing His will.  Jesus doesn't distinguish between immediate family or race, skin color, religious faith, Saint or sinner.  God is inclusive, seeking all to come to Him.   How does Jesus respond to anyone that came to Him, He treated them all the same, even those that were trying to condemn Him.  What about you, are you following His example or are you creating an exclusive community?  God is God of all, if they will receive Him.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the teaching this morning, we always learn when we are in Your presence and are paying attention.  Give me a heart that is inclusive and does not classify others into groups.  May I see what You see, Your gift of life.  May I not see color or religion, rich or poor, may my actions be that of love.  Help me see my brother and sister in all that I meet.    Bless this day Lord and open the eyes of my heart.  Amen.

"But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:19‬

Mary's life was the gospel, she pondered her life as it relates to the Jewish scrolls.  What was God telling her through her life and what she knew about her faith.  We are blessed to have the Old and New Testament to ponder in our lives.

How does one know what God is saying to us, know His word and ponder it.  It doesn't take much to just chew on one or two verses a day to open our eyes and ears to God speaking to us.  Ponder them in your heart and open up God's teaching to you.

"but they did not know that I cared for them."  Hosea 11:3b.  To see God witness to others all day yesterday and at the time of the stories they didn't even know He was caring for them.  God is good! All the time!

Come Holy Ghost and over shadow me with your gentle wisdom and power as I endeavor to sit at the feet of Jesus during this period of prayer.  Purify my mind and heart as I seek to make the teachings of Jesus a priority in my life thinking, speaking and doing as He desires.  You are the keeper of my soul leading me into God's heart, may I be docile and submissive to Your wisdom and guidance and may my life be a pleasing offering in your sight, through Christ our Lord, Amen.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.  (Prayer from GEM Ministries)

www.dailythoughts.com Hosea 11:3 6-8-2018

"Yet it was I who taught Ephraim to walk, who took them in my arms; but they did not know that I cared for them." ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭11:3‬

I heard something lately that changed how I thought about the passion of Christ.  Instead of the passion of Christ, look at it as Christ's passion.  He loves us that much that He willing gave of Himself.  Christ and God are one, in the verse above is God's heart.  Each of our journeys are leading us to the heart of God.  Do we even realize that? The challenges we face each day are no different than the stories in the Bible.   Not one didn't face adversity yet thru that suffering and journey they were being lead to God.  Know that God is caring for You, may not seem like it but He is.  It isn't punishment, it is discipline.   Discipline yourself to speak with Him each day, look for the good in all things and count your blessings.  You are loved by God.

Dear Lord God, I am overwhelmed this morning when I think of your passion for us.  You don't ask much of us and yet You gave all.  May I embrace you with open arms, may I see You in everyone that I meet.  Bless those that willing sacrifice of themselves for others.  Bless the God's Embrace Miniseries as it reaches out into church's helping others hear Your voice.  Thank You for this day and May I glorify You in actions today and not words.  In Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Mark 12:32-33 6-7-2018

"The scribe said to him, "Well said, teacher. You are right in saying, 'He is One and there is no other than he.' And 'to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself' is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." Mark‬ ‭12:32-33‬

"With all", how much did Jesus love us?  With all.  How much does God love us? With all.  How much do we love Him?  With all? Some? A Little? None?  For those that have experienced love, do you have that same love for God?  I can say that prior to experiencing Love for God, I made plenty of burnt offerings on Sunday morning.  I wasn't giving God my all, maybe an hour a week.  With all your heart and all your strength and all your understanding.  He gave all for us why do we not reciprocate?

Dear Heavenly Father, I love You, I trust You and I want to know more of You.  I will listen today and seek to gain what it is You would like to give.  Increase in me the desire to love You more.  Prayers for a family experiencing loss, may they feel Your love for them.  Prayers for a family expecting, may they see the Love You have for them and the joy that life brings.  Strengthen Your faithful Lord that we may be Your servants in the vineyards.  In Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 2 Timothy 1:7-8 6-6-2018

"For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control. So do not be ashamed of your testimony to our Lord, nor of me, a prisoner for his sake; but bear your share of hardship for the gospel with the strength that comes from God." ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7-8‬

Do you share your witness with strangers?  Do you challenge others on truth?  Jesus shared His life ever where He went some accepted, believed and followed, and some rejected Him.  He shared in the love and He also shared in the hardship for the gospel.  We live in a world that needs Christ more than ever and as Christians we are called to live our faith, take those chances, be willing to be rejected.  Faith breeds faith and our strength comes from above.  Be a warrior for Christ, make a difference.

Dear Lord God, lead me today, use me today, put me in situations that will bring glory to You.  Give me Your strength, remove any cowardice that I may have for You are greater in me.  Help us understand if we do nothing we loose even what was given to us.  Thank You for the joy of new life with our first grandson.  My heart is full to see His beauty.  May He grow up in a world that shares the love of Christ with others.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"They were utterly amazed at him." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭12:17‬b‭

You ever try to stump God?  You will be utterly amazed at His response.  The response most likely will not be immediate and you may even miss it, if you are not listening or paying attention but He will respond.   We live in a world that denies His existence but He lives.  Each day we must make a choice to live in utter amazement or live life's of quiet desperation not knowing who God is.  Watch and read this short video

I live in utter amazement and I look forward to the day, even in the chaos, He is there bringing a peace that surpasses all understanding.  Those that listen and spend time seeking Him each and every day know what I am talking about.

Dear Lord, You prepare the way several days in advance and I thank You for that.  I live in amazement as to what you reveal and give me to ponder upon.  Help me live with You today in all that I do and all that I am.  I pray for a family that is experiencing loss this morning, help them feel Your love.  May each of us be living examples of the miracle of life.  In Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Psalms 91:1-2. 6-4-2018

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!" Psalms‬ ‭91:1-2‬

We live in a world that seems to be getting worse yet there is nothing that I fear, God has it all under control.  I need a daily reminder that what ever the day brings there is nothing that we (God and I) can't handle.  How we go about the day and depending upon God makes a difference.  Are we abiding with God?  Are we living within His shadow?  Are we seeking out what God is telling us, even when things aren't going well, what message is God trying to convey.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for those that are lost this morning.  I don't know what You want me to do but I am at the ready.  It hurts to witness these actions but I trust in You to make all things new.  Help others find their way into Your shelter, help them see the comfort in the protection of Your arms.  Watch over our family Lord, strengthen us for the journey and may we bless You today by doing what You ask of us.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com Hebrews 9:11-14 6-3-2018

"But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that have come to be, passing through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made by hands, that is, not belonging to this creation, he entered once for all into the sanctuary, not with the blood of goats and calves but with his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls and the sprinkling of a heifer's ashes can sanctify those who are defiled so that their flesh is cleansed, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works to worship the living God." Hebrews‬ ‭9:11-14‬

"Passing through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made by hands."  In my estimations this is the Blessed Mother Mary.  God willing came to earth to make all things right, can an imperfect creation produce the perfect one?

Seems crazy that the Jewish faithful believed that the sprinkling of blood and ashes would cleanse the spirit yet this is what they believed and faithfully practiced.  Seems impossible that as a Catholic I receive the flesh and blood of Jesus in the Eucharist but I believe that it is the Body, blood, soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ.  "I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world."" John‬ ‭6:51‬

I am thankful that Christ instituted the Eucharist at the first mass prior to His passion at the last supper.  The mass transforms the bread and wine into the living God not some dead works that some may think.  He even ended it like we currently do today with a hymn.  "Then, after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭14:26‬

For myself it seems logical and makes perfect sense,  for someone not raised in my faith I can see the challenge.  I believe this is where faith comes in, for God is always constant and never changing.   Do you think He would have Abraham make an altar that many years ago to abolish it in this day and age?

Dear Mighty One, You lead the way and I will follow, I trust in You and You alone.  Thank You for always giving us mamma from Heaven.   Thank You for instituting the Eucharist feast and bringing life into Your word and my spirit.  May I honor You this day by being obedient to those whom You have instilled truth to through out the centuries.  Prayers for those who have doubt, provide the grace and understanding that only You can give.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Psalms 63:3-4

I look to you in the sanctuary to see your power and glory. For your love is better than life; my lips shall ever praise you!" ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭63:1, 3-4‬

I picture King David recalling a time when in sat in adoration in the temple gazing upon the Holy of Holies.  Now in the wilderness he thinks of this quiet time and remembers the blessings.   Did God remove this grace with the bringing in of the new covenant or did He multiply His presence?  I too recall sitting gazing upon the Holy of Holies and just being in awe of the loving and gracious God.  Would God remove this opportunity from us?  Does Jesus want to give us more of Him or less of Him.  Something to think about this morning.  For some of you, only God can answer this question, why not go sit in adoration as King David did and see the power and glory of the Creator.

Dear Father God, I am in awe of witnessing Your power and glory, whom You call to sit in Your sanctuary.  You bless them with Heavenly words that draws others to You.  Thank You Jesus for always being available to us, may I take more advantage of this opportunity.  Empower others to take action Lord, make them bold and help them sit still to experience what You gave King David, for You do not withhold any good blessings from us.  To You be the power and glory for ever and ever, Amen!

www.dailythoughts.com 1 Peter 4:12 Mark 11:17 7-1-2018

"Beloved, do not be surprised that a trial by fire is occurring among you, as if something strange were happening to you." ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:12‬

"Then he taught them saying, "Is it not written: 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples'? But you have made it a den of thieves."" Mark‬ ‭11:17‬

I had the opportunity to be near a forest recently, it is interesting to see new growth after a fire.  We were made to worship God and our own free will creates challenges for us.  Is it possible that God is doing a little house cleaning?  His words: "Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16‬.  What a blessing to have a little house cleaning going on, not comfortable but yet the growth is beautiful.  Relax, God is the master builder, He is just reminding you what you were created for.  You can deny it but He won't stop until He is has restored the temple.

Dear Heavenly Father, I love seeing the new growth in the forest, I  thank You for these opportunities.  Help us see that during trials in our lives, You are preparing the soil to glorify the Father.   Bless this morning's meeting, may we be Super Sensitive to Your Holy Spirit.  Prayers for healing of a friend, help them see the good that You created and the joy that they spread.  In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.
