"I keep the LORD always before me; with him at my right hand, I shall never be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, my soul rejoices; my body also dwells secure, For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor let your devout one see the pit." Psalms 16:8-10
Do we keep the Lord ALWAYS before us? How can we do that? "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"" Mark 12:30-31 God Loves us unconditional do we love ourselves? Take your eyes off of yourself, and selflessly give, don't fight back when the urge is to fight back. Give when you really don't want too, listen when you would rather talk.
When raising children, what happens when they aren't following directions, you discipline them. God Loves you that much that He wants you to get it therefore in not listening, He will love you. Love your neighbor and love yourself. "Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Jesus did!
Dear Father God, why must we suffer when You plainly tell us how to live, why do some see and others don't. I thank You for the discipline and the ability to listen. My prayers are for those who focus on self, make them aware of the discipline they are experiencing. Give them hope, a heart full of joy and a spirit that loves others more than self. You know my spirit this morning God and what I am feeling, I love You with all my heart and I know You Lord me more. Thank You. amen.
Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
