"Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift." Matthew 5:23-24
A message worth repeating! Why would God repeat this message two days in a row? Some of you are thinking it isn't God but me, the person writing. When I seen the picture verse yesterday I had this thought that this was someone's answer. Maybe you didn't take it seriously. In what I do each day I get to hear stories of unforgiveness. Holding on to those hurts and pains isn't healthy for the mind or the soul. Pickup the phone and say you are sorry, stop holding on. "You visit the earth and water it, make it abundantly fertile. God's stream is filled with water; you supply their grain. Thus do you prepare it: you drench its plowed furrows, and level its ridges. With showers you keep it soft, blessing its young sprouts." Psalms 65:10-11. God is working on preparing the soil, and will bless your prayer. Holding on to the unforgiveness is with holding God's blessings and grace in your life. Say a little prayer, and go for it.
Dear Heavenly Father, You prepare the soil for Your bountiful blessings, soften our hearts to forgive and be forgiven. Protect us from any more pain and release the burden we have been carrying. You died on the cross for this very reason, may we bury it in Calvary so we may be resurrected to new life in You. Bless this day Lord, Bless Your people and thank You for loving a sinner like me. I ask this through the name of Jesus, Amen.
Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
