Exodus Chapter 31 9-30-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"As his assistant I myself have appointed Oholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. I have also endowed all the experts with the necessary skill to make all the things I have commanded you:

When the LORD had finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the covenant, the stone tablets inscribed by God's own finger." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭31:6, 18

If you have been reading the chapters of Exodus you see that God asked a lot of Moses.  Did Moses worry about what God was asking of him or how?  No, he was taking in every detail that God was asking, he didn't worry for he knew God would provide.  God doesn't ask us to do anything without providing how it will be done.  God provides clear instructions on how to follow Him, do we do it?  "Therefore, you must keep the sabbath for it is holiness for you. Whoever desecrates it shall be put to death. If anyone does work on that day, that person must be cut off from the people." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭31:14‬.  When we choose to ignore God we experience a spiritual death, God is not that important in our life, we justify our actions because after all it is 2019, God can't really expect us to follow His rules.  Like Adam and Eve, or the Israelites, we will walk in the desert in the darkness until we decide God is the better choice.  Listen to your heart, He speaks, do we listen.

What is God saying to me: I do speak and you can hear, will you follow what I ask?  Every thing will be provided down to the last detail, do not worry about tomorrow, take care of today.

Dear Father God, I love You, I so look forward to us gathering together to speak to each other.  I am over joyed in our sacred place sitting and listening.  I see many are listening and their worry and doubt has been replaced by confidence with Your faithfulness.  You never stop amazing me in how You provide.  May I take You into my day, May I honor Your faithfulness by keeping your commandments.  May Your Holy Spirit convict me when I choose sin and keep me on the path to holiness.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 30 9-29-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"you shall anoint the tent of meeting and the ark of the covenant, the table and all its utensils, the menorah and its utensils, the altar of incense and the altar for burnt offerings with all its utensils, and the basin with its stand. When you have consecrated them, they shall be most sacred; whatever touches them shall be sacred." Exodus‬ ‭30:26-29‬

God prepares a holy place, a sacred place, it is to be anointed before He arrives.  He prepares each of us before He enters in.  We are given things to thing about, we may have to go through some struggles.  We may get to a point that God is the only solution, we can not rely upon self because the situation is beyond our control.  God is preparing room for Him.  He works through others to make this happen.  Remember, God gives the instructions it is up to us to act, your simple act of obedience maybe preparing a place for God to enter and sanctify His home.

What is God saying to me: Be at peace, I hear you, all is good.

Dear Father God, You are so good to me, words will never describe the joy of knowing You are on the inside directing my life.  I am blessed to know You are at work nourishing seeds that are growing.  Help us see that our hardships is what produces an everlasting home for You.  The Son always comes out after it rains, You paint a rainbow for all to see.  Prayers for a lady struggling with cancer, may You replace her pain with joy, may she feel hope for tomorrow and thank You Father for a healing.  You are a good good Father that is preparing a sacred place to reside.  Bless this day and may joy be ever on our faces, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 29 9-28-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"I will dwell in the midst of the Israelites and will be their God. They shall know that I, the LORD, am their God who brought them out of the land of Egypt, so that I, the LORD, their God, might dwell among them." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭29:45-46‬

There is a richness in reading the Word of God with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  As you read, you can visualize what God had intended.  You can see Aaron lifting up the offering, you can smell the sweet aroma, all this is what God intends.  It is a Holy Place that has been consecrated, it is adorned to honor God, He has His dwelling place.  Exodus was written by Moses, we have the opportunity today to experience what God instructed His people thousands of years ago, if only we would look and see.  Many are searching for God and He is in their midst.

What is God saying to me: continue the journey, I understand what you desire but first you must experience what is ahead so you will be able to see with understanding.  We do not always see what is right in front of us, you didn't for almost 48 years.

Dear Father, You are right, You are always right.  I thank You for opening up Your word to me, to allow me to see the richness with eyes that understand.  I am enjoying the journey, a bit bumpy at times, sometimes in the dark but You are always there and Your Advocate makes His presence known.  Bless this day Father, bless Your messengers today and prayers for a young man who got his world rearranged, may He see You at work in His life.  Prayers for all the Holy men and women who have consecrated their lives to serving You and Your people.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 28 9-27-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Have your brother Aaron, and with him his sons, brought to you, from among the Israelites, that they may be my priests: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons. For the glorious adornment of your brother Aaron you shall have sacred vestments made." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭28:1-2‬

Sacred tradition, not just anyone could serve God at His altar, He set aside the house of Aaron for this.  He gives fine detail of what they should wear and how it is to be made.  These royal priest have specific roles to serve in God's house "In this breastpiece of decision you shall put the Urim and Thummim, that they may be over Aaron's heart whenever he enters the presence of the LORD. Thus he shall always bear the decisions for the Israelites over his heart in the presence of the LORD." Exodus 30.  "over Aaron's forehead. Since Aaron bears whatever guilt the Israelites may incur in consecrating any of their sacred gifts, this plate must always be over his forehead, so that they may find favor with the LORD." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭28:38  Overtime this sacred tradition got off track and God's House became something it was not intended it for.  The words of Jesus: "And he said to them, "It is written: 'My house shall be a house of prayer,' but you are making it a den of thieves."" Matthew‬ ‭21:13‬   Sacred tradition plays a role in worshiping God, it is what He intended.

What is God saying to me: Be at peace

Dear Father, You are God and there is nothing that You cannot correct.  Point us in the proper direction to worship and serve You.  Keep us focused on You and keep us from being distracted by the way of world which works at breaking down and destroying.  Thank You Lord for the royal priesthood that continues to serve You at the altar, thank you for them bringing our gifts to You, for offering up our sacrifices.  Prayers for a nation at war with itself, help our elected officials see the destruction they are creating.  Prayers for a friend rebuilding their live, may they find peace in God.  Amen.

Exodus Chapter 27 9-26-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"You shall command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of crushed olives, to be used for the light, so that you may keep lamps burning always. From evening to morning Aaron and his sons shall maintain them before the LORD in the tent of meeting, outside the veil which hangs in front of the covenant. This shall be a perpetual statute for the Israelites throughout their generations." Exodus‬ ‭27:20-21‬

God establishes His Holy Church, He sets up its authority, defines the royal priesthood and provides a place of worship that is holy.  The imagery God creates us is beautiful and at the center is God.  The Church has been established since this time, He is the head and we are to honor what God commands of us.  As you read His Word, do you read to understand, do you reflect upon what God is saying.  He speaks to us through His Holy Word, this is the source of our foundation.  As I enter Church today it has not changed, I see the authority, I see the royal priesthood, I see the perpetual statue that continues through the generations.  It is unfortunate that some fall victim to the schemes of the devil.  "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children." ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭4:6‬.  Honor God how He intended it, Perpetual never ends.

What is God saying to me: Listen to understand.

Dear Father God, You established Your Church a long long time ago.  You had Moses write down what You had intended and over time we, as a people, have eaten the apple many times.  You are very clear in how we are to worship, You go into detail on what Your temple looks like.  Help us view our place of worship through these eyes of understanding and seek to listen so we can understand.  Father God with You as the focus, we will always be guided by the Holy Spirit.  May I listen today to understand and not listen so I can respond.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 26 9-25-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Hang the veil from clasps. The ark of the covenant you shall bring inside, behind this veil which divides the holy place from the holy of holies." Exodus‬ ‭26:33‬

The detail that God gives us for the holy of holies is amazing.  He spends time giving us exact details for the place that will house the ark of the covenant.  Do we spend time and put this kind of detail into preparing Him a room?  When we go to Church are we going to worship God or to feed our need to be entertained.  Our time here on earth is short, eternity is forever, if You do not have a holy of holies for God here, what makes you think you will have one in Heaven?  We have the opportunity to worship God here, to make Him the point of our worship.  Be detailed in preparing Him room, He is very detailed.  The room when you enter in is amazing, I pray you learn to experience God behind the veil, it is a holy place accessible by all, if we but heed His voice.

What is God saying to me: Treasure the moments, they will bring you comfort during the day.  Keep living the life I am creating for you, you are being blessed.

Dear Father, wow! I love going behind the veil and sitting in Your presence.  Words can not describe the joy in these conversations.  You are real and accessible to all if we would pay attention to the details.  Thank You Father for all that You are doing, help us pay attention to the smallest of details when worshiping You.  Thank You Father for new life in our family, may you breath hope into souls that are searching.  Bless this day, help us make good choices that will bring us closer to You and not farther away.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Ark of the Covenant, pray for us.

Exodus Chapter 25 9-24-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"They are to make a sanctuary for me, that I may dwell in their midst. According to all that I show you regarding the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of its furnishings, so you are to make it." Exodus‬ ‭25:8-9‬

Listen to the heart of God, how many of us do that?  Moses did, he was given clear instructions on what God wants.  Moses did not have the supplies, he wasn't a carpenter, he wasn't a craftsman, he didn't know how to smelt gold and form it.  Yet he listens to God and built the Ark of the Covenant.  God gives clear instructions, the tasks He gives us are not easy, we may not know how to do what He asks but He asked you.  As long as we listen to God, daily, He will provide.  He will show you the way, He gives you today.  Stop thinking about the impossible just do what He gives you today.  In the end, Moses built the Ark because he listens to God, daily.

What is God saying to me: If My people would listen they would not drown.

Dear Father, You know the distractions that are constantly placed in front of us, give us eyes and ears to only follow You.  Help us see the impossible tasks can be done.  Thank You Father for those that do listen, it is a joy to watch, they truly are Saints in the making.  Bless this day Father, give me the grace and strength to listen especially when I get in the way.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 24 9-23-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Moses went up the mountain. Then the cloud covered the mountain. The glory of the LORD settled upon Mount Sinai. The cloud covered it for six days, and on the seventh day he called to Moses from the midst of the cloud." Exodus‬ ‭24:15-16‬

Go to the mountain of God.  Listen, can you hear God speak to you?  Finding that quiet place, sitting still and training yourself to sit at the feet of God takes practice.  There is peace in the stillness just you and God gazing upon you.  He sees you as you make time for Him.  In the Old Testament God spoke through prophets and we could not go to God directly.  In the New Covenant Jesus tells us to come: ""Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."" ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬. Go to the mountain of God and find rest.

What is God saying to me: Time

Dear Lord, I sit at Your feet and call out from the darkness awaiting Your reply.  There is a peace in knowing You are there yet I can not see You.  Thank You Father for another group of great warriors that joined the ranks, may they be protected by Your Holy Spirit as they are trained to listen and follow.  Thank You Father for all those who heed Your voice and respond.  You are before us this day, we are ready and listening.  Prayers for those who are in the cloud and are waiting to hear.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 22 9-21-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"You shall not despise God, nor curse a leader of your people." Exodus‬ ‭22:27‬

Moses establishes his people, he provides rules and guidelines that they may know how to deal with conflict.  He establishes law and order with clear direction on how things are to be handled.  We all must submit to authority for we will answer for it one day.  God has planted you were you are at, rules are to be followed and not broken.  Authority is to be respected, we may not always agree but they have been placed in that position by God.  What message does the world give us about authority?  Fight it, push back, ignore it.  Without guidelines there is chaos, we see the events of this playing out all the time.  Sin masks itself in many different ways, we become participants and may not even know it.

What is God saying to me:  Moses kneels down to My authority, your heart knows what is right and wrong.  This is Me speaking the unspoken word.

Dear Father,  You have planted each of us where we are at for a specific purpose, we are to learn from those around us and are to live with each other in peace.  We are to respect authority, live by the rules of society and live Your rules so we may gain Heaven.  We can not serve two Gods, we serve You when we respect those who have responsibility over us.  Help us see how we are rebellious in our moments of angst.  Bless this day Father, bless those men on retreat with Holy moments.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 21 9-20-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"If, however, a fine is imposed on him, he must pay in ransom for his life whatever amount is imposed on him." Exodus‬ ‭21:30‬

There is a cost to our wayward ways.  God clearly tells us that in not following His instructions that there is a penalty.  It takes a toll on us, what seems like nothing happens over time there is a ransom.  Jesus dies for our sins and He paid it all.  The culture, society, the devil, would have us believe that there is no cost, there is no penalty but there clearly is.  When we come to the understanding that we are inflicting pain upon He that was on the cross, we will feel the pain that we cause to Him.  Loving God is a journey.

What is God saying to me: Love does not inflict pain but Love feels pain.

Dear Father, I hear the words "Go and sin no more", yet I will live these words today.

The Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because they offend You, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life. Amen.

Thank You Father for the prayers You have given us to pray in our daily lives.  This is a tradition that has been lost that needs to be found again.  It helps in knowing why we are here, it is not for a good time but to get to Heaven.  Loving You is the best time, I thank You for that in my heart.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Exodus Chapter 20 9-19-2019 www.daikythoughts.com

"For I, the LORD, your God, am a jealous God, inflicting punishment for their ancestors' wickedness on the children of those who hate me, down to the third and fourth generation; but showing love down to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments. You shall not invoke the name of the LORD, your God, in vain. For the LORD will not leave unpunished anyone who invokes his name in vain."  Exodus‬ ‭20:5b-7‬

Has God changed?  No, still the same God and still the same Ten Commandments.  What has changed?  You are still at the foot of the mountain, these are God's words.  We choose which voice to listen too but God is still God.  He tells us what happens when we listen to him and when we don't.  "Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid, for God has come only to test you and put the fear of him upon you so you do not sin.""  ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭20:20‬   The Ten Commandments are still the Ten Commandments, as hard as the world tries to change them they are just as effective today as they were at the foot of the mountain.  A healthy fear of God brings all things into perspective for it is His voice who drowns out the lies and not the other way around.

What is God saying to me? Listen to Me, I love you beyond measure.

Dear Father, there is peace in knowing You are constant and You are real.  For the times I strayed I am sorry but the pain was too great to stay away.  I know You love me and accept me with open arms.  You are written on my heart and You gave that grace, may the Love of Christ be written on many more hearts.  Thank You for the beautiful soul speaking yesterday she is a Godly woman living her faith in an authentic way, many can learn from her.  Prayers for a friend dealing with grieve, may they know they are loved by You and those around them. Bless this day as we go into it together.  Amen.

Exodus Chapter 19 9-18-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"But Moses led the people out of the camp to meet God, and they stationed themselves at the foot of the mountain." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭19:17‬

Do you fear God?  If you were at the foot of the mountain with Moses you would surely fear Him.  God wants us to have a healthy fear of Him.  It isn't fear that He desires though, it is obedience.  Moses was obedient, he listened and obeyed, he did what God asked of him.  Moses shows us we are to have a healthy respect for God but He is not to be shaken in your boots feared.  At the foot of the mountain the people could hear God.  They prepared themselves for God, it was a dedicated decision.  There is not a mountain out my back door but everyday, I prepare myself to sit at the foot of the mountain.  I have a strong desire to listen and most days I hear.  Having a healthy respect for God prepares us to listen, He will get your attention, I promise you that.  Go to the foot of the mountain.

What is God saying to me: In the stillness I speak, in the stillness I am here, in the stillness I move within.  Prepare the way for My Holy mountain.

Come, Holy Spirit, and overshadow me with your gentle wisdom and power as I endeavor to sit at the feet of Jesus during this period of prayer. Purify my mind and heart as I seek to make the teachings of Jesus my priority in life, thinking, speaking and doing as he desires. You are the keeper of my soul, leading me into God's heart. May I be docile and submissive to your wisdom and guidance, and may my life be a pleasing offering in your sight, through Christ our Lord. Amen.  Triune God, Be my all! Triune God, Be my all! Triune God, Be my all!

Exodus Chapter 18 9-17-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Enlighten them in regard to the statutes and instructions, showing them how they are to conduct themselves and what they are to do. But you should also look among all the people for able and God-fearing men, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain, and set them over the people as commanders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens." Exodus‬ ‭18:20-21‬

Living a godly life.  Sometimes in our zeal we do not see the outcome we are creating.  Someone who has gone before us has a greater insight and can give prudent advice for they can see what you can not.  Moses receives spiritual direction from his Father-In-law.  And in doing so God is building up men.   There is something to be said about receiving spiritual direction.  It is good that we can go to someone and allow them with the grace of God to give insight.  If more men and women would do this, their loads they carry would be lightened, just like Moses was.

What is God saying to me: Patience, in due time My plan will unfold.

Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.

Exodus Chapter 17 9-16-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The place was named Massah and Meribah, because the Israelites quarreled there and tested the LORD, saying, "Is the LORD in our midst or not?"

Moses built an altar there, which he named Yahweh-nissi; for he said, "Take up the banner of the LORD! The LORD has a war against Amalek through the ages."" Exodus‬ ‭17:7, 15-16‬

Will you carry the banner of the Lord?  We have been given senses and through these senses we perceive God.  I see a world that questions the existence of God even though He is in our midst.  Moses saved the Israelites from Egypt, he fed them in the desert, he gives them water from a rock, all from God.  Joshua wins a war against the Amalek because he sees God.  Jesus has no eyes but yours, no hands or feet but yours, no ears but yours and no voice but yours.  Are you going to continue to live in doubt or are you going to raise your hands and carry the Lords banner.  The world around you needs to see God in action through His people.

What is God saying to me:  The battle is mine, you are only to raise My banner and remain at peace.

Dear Lord, the war rages on against the Amalek, those that don't believe in one True God.  Lift my arms high when needed, give others strength by all those willing to carry Your banner.  Encourage each of us to live out our faith in our normal everyday activities.  You are the Victor Jesus and where You go, I will follow.  Thank You for our time together, for the opportunity to listen and see You in our midst.  Seeing is believing, help us see through the actions of others.  Triune God be my all.  Triune God be my all.  Triune God be my all.  Amen.

Exodus Chapter 15 9-14-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

"As the people grumbled against Moses, saying, "What are we to drink?"

He said: If you listen closely to the voice of the LORD, your God, and do what is right in his eyes: if you heed his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will not afflict you with any of the diseases with which I afflicted the Egyptians; for I, the LORD, am your healer." Exodus‬ ‭15:24, 26‬

God leads and we grumble, sound familiar.  You have been lead out of Egypt, sing songs of praise and then within a short time are grumbling.  We each have crosses to bare, in carrying them we are being tested,  will we listen to God?  Will we follow where He is leading?  Some decide it is too hard and step away for awhile.  They do return for God knows how to get our attention.  Listen closely to the voice of God, there will be days when there is singing and rejoicing, and there will be days you will be carrying the cross.  Through all of it, God will be healing both you and those around you.

What is God saying to me: I did not say it will be easy but in following My voice, you are being lead up the mountain.  The steps aren't easy, the journey will have pain but at the top, you will appreciate the view.  All the suffering will be forgotten, and be seen as a valuable lesson.

Dear Father, I am thankful for the people You have placed within my path, they are listening to Your voice.  Bless them Father with a great view.  I pray for the path, knowing which way to go but I trust in You to lead.  Prayers of thanksgiving for healing and the grace of seeing.  Thank You Lord for this day, may I carry You throughout the day and not set You aside, I am sorry for when I have.   In Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 14 9-13-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD will fight for you; you have only to keep still." Then the LORD said to Moses: Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to set out." Exodus‬ ‭14:14-15‬

Has panic set in?  You see a storm brewing and you want to turn back?  This was the Israelites plight as they fled Egypt, the Egyptians were coming for them, they were trapped, the sea in front of them and the army behind them.  A clear voice sets hearts at ease.  Moses knew God was in charge, he reminds us to be still, be at peace, God will tell you when to move.  With God the fight is His, sometimes we get in the way and exasperate it.  God needs a clear head, one who follows direction and trusts in Him.  Allow God to go to work, get out of the way.

What is God saying to me: Faith

Dear Father, You know what I see, You know my heart, I thank You for Your words of insight, may they guide me as I wait for the command to move.  Allow the circumstances of life to develop peace and trust in You and not create angst or panic.  Prayers for clear hearts and minds that have been given a mission, may they hear Your direction when they sit still and just be.  Bless this day Lord and may we march forward into Victory.  Amen.

Exodus Chapter 13 9-12-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"It will be like a sign on your hand and a reminder on your forehead, so that the teaching of the LORD will be on your lips: with a strong hand the LORD brought you out of Egypt.

The LORD preceded them, in the daytime by means of a column of cloud to show them the way, and at night by means of a column of fire to give them light. Thus they could travel both day and night." Exodus‬ ‭13:9, 21‬

Are you following God?  We don't have a visible cloud that we can see but if we are spending time each day and dedicating our heart and mind to God, the cloud is there.  Have you had your Exodus yet?  It is a matter of listening and paying attention.  God is always out front but we must be aware of Him.  You are reading this, where is He leading you?  I watched someone slow down, allow the Holy Spirit to work so God's direction could be seen, the cloud was visible we just had to pay attention.  Having a bad day or difficult situation? Pray, this is God on your lips.  He never leaves you empty handed, He points the way.

What is God saying to me: It is s journey with bumps and the road is not straight, I lead the way when I am on your lips and in your thoughts.  I know the way.

Dear Father, another wonderful adventure in the making, I see the cloud, I see the direction, I just need to be patient and observe.  Praises for hearts on fire, for the guidance of the Holy Spirit and for wisdom so It may lead us.  A city on a hilltop must not be covered up, help us see all we have to do is open our mouths and You will do the rest.  Thank You for this day and the things it will present, may I learn what it is You will offer from it.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 12 9-11-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"If a household is too small for a lamb, it along with its nearest neighbor will procure one, and apportion the lamb's cost in proportion to the number of persons, according to what each household consumes.

For when the LORD goes by to strike down the Egyptians, seeing the blood on the lintel and the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over that door and not let the destroyer come into your houses to strike you down." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭12:4, 23‬

There is a cost to following Christ, it is not an easy path.  You have just witnessed God bring about plague after plague upon the Egyptians.  God has transformed your faith before your eyes, now you hear all the first born males in the land will die this very night except the Israelites as long as they follow very stringent instructions.  You do exactly what was asked now you wait, Your Son is with you.  Do you believe or do you have doubt, how strong is your faith?

"Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day." ‭‭John‬ ‭6:53-54‬.  I believe, it doesn't seem humanly possible but then I consume the lamb, am paying the price and have splattered His blood around the lintel of my heart and soul.  Looks like a wafer, taste like a wafer but I know God is within and is guarding my soul.  I have witnessed God save over and over again, there is a cost, faith can't be physically seen or humanly explained.  I look forward to the lamb of God once again, He paid the full price, I only pay a portion.

What is God saying to me: Faith is belief in the unseen that is seen.

Dear Father, my heart stirs this morning and You know why.  I know you hear me, I know You felt the pain for these situations.  Help me live out my faith, help me speak the truth with compassion, conviction and understanding.  I thank You Father for answered prayers, for hearts that are changing, for faith that is being strengthened.  You are the Light of the World and we are attracted to the truth.  Raise up Holy men and women to sing Your praises.   Amen.

Exodus Chapter 11 9-10-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Then the LORD spoke to Moses: One more plague I will bring upon Pharaoh and upon Egypt. After that he will let you depart. In fact, when he finally lets you go, he will drive you away.

Thus, although Moses and Aaron performed all these wonders in Pharaoh's presence, the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let the Israelites go from his land." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭11:1, 10‬

This is the test, will we listen and respond to the Truth or will we become like Pharaoh and experience life without God.  Moses was only a voice, it was God who spoke through him.  Living with understanding and witnessing the plagues was not easy for Moses.  "With that he left Pharaoh's presence in hot anger." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭11:8‬C.  Moses walked with God, he experienced Him, he wants others to see what he sees.  Moses knows God will fulfill His words and he sees the hardheadedness of Pharaoh.  We will learn the existence of God either by following Him with all our heart or life will be a great teacher and we will experience the pain and then follow.   By His grace, I have been given ears to hear, do not ignore God and all of His teachings.  Truth is truth.

What is God saying to me:  Be prepared and know I am with you, speak My truth, Moses did.

Dear Father, I see a world living their truth not Your truth, help me live the truth.  Open our eyes and ears to the joy of living with You.  Remove the plague of anxiety of everyday life when we trust in You.  Raise our hearts and minds to live with You as Your servant Moses did.  Thank You Father for raising up Holy men and women in our presence, You are preparing Your people for eternity with You.  Prayers for a blessed day with thanksgiving on our tongues.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 10 9-9-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he was unwilling to let them go." Exodus‬ ‭10:27‬

Moses and Pharaoh grew up in the same culture, they both had the same teaching.  Why the dramatic difference between the two of them?  Moses encountered God in the burning bush, He had seen the truth of God and received Him.  Pharaoh sees the truth of Moses's God but can not accept Him.  God placed a road block, why?  "and that you may recount to your son and grandson how I made a fool of the Egyptians and what signs I did among them, so that you may know that I am the LORD." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭10:2‬.  We all face difficult people, Moses does not react to Pharaoh any other way than straight forward, he does what God asks.  God works thru Moses and Pharaoh so that others may know that He is Lord.  Even in difficult situations we are to share the love of Christ and not take it personally, Moses doesn't.

What is God saying to me: faith is a journey, recognize My voice.

Dear Father, help me to live simply this day, to not react to various situations but to live out Your will for my life.  Guard my tongue so it does not create difficulties for us, may it speak only truth and only when necessary.  Prayers for hardened hearts, may they see God working in their lives and receive Him as Moses did.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 9 9-8-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Pray to the LORD! Enough of the thunder and hail! I will let you go; you need stay no longer." Moses replied to him, "As soon as I leave the city I will extend my hands to the LORD; the thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail so that you may know that the earth belongs to the LORD. But as for you and your servants, I know that you do not yet fear the LORD God."" Exodus‬ ‭9:28-30‬

God knows the heart.  You ever pray to God to get you out of a situation, to save you from some disaster.  And if He did you would change your ways, you made a commitment before God.  I know I have done this in my life, after the disaster passed, over time, I returned to my old ways.  God knows the heart, In these moments we see the divine nature of God.  He rescues us knowing we will once again turn back but He also knows that with time these moments will take root in us, just like it did with Moses.  There is one constant in our lives, when we need rescued we turn to the one who can save us.  Never stop turning to Him, for you will see His Divine nature.

What is God saying to me: Time heals all wounds.

Dear Lord God, it is a beautiful morning.  I love the tradition of Your Holy Mass, it is a simple form of worship that brings honor and praise to You.  I look forward to the day You unite us all with Your Holy Spirit.  May I live out my commitment to You with Your strength, may I not lean on my own understanding and trust in Your will.  Bless this day, prayers for a friend who has tasted Your goodness but has yet to commit his heart to You.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 8 9-7-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Pharaoh said, "I will let you go to sacrifice to the LORD, your God, in the wilderness, provided that you do not go too far away. Pray for me."

But once more Pharaoh became obstinate and would not let the people go."
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭8:24, 28‬

Living our faith.  You can see the conflict that Pharaoh is going thru.  He sees Moses living his faith, God is working thru him and Pharaoh is struggling with who is greater, himself or God, he asks for prayers.  When we pray for those who hurt us it helps in how we respond to them.  We do not take on their angst but in effect we realize how God is working within and we begin to see the change within the other.  Prayer is a shield in our lives that allows God to work.  Moses is in constant communication with God, he is not swayed by his environment but acts according to what is asked of him.  We too are called just as Moses was called, live your faith.  The culture around is in need of God who will produce miracles.  You are chosen, we are all chosen to live out our faith.  "But you are "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may announce the praises" of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:9‬

What is God saying to me: Wait

Dear Father, I pray for those caught up in the world.  I pray they break free of the bondage of sin, I pray they step out of the darkness and into the light.  I pray they take time with You and become whom You have called them to be, a royal priesthood.  Thank You for the moments of peace in a busy world, thank You for Your spirit living within that guides my days and my heart.  Prayers for those living with cancer, may they be living witnesses to Your saving power.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 7 8-6-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD answered Moses: See! I have made you a god to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother will be your prophet. You will speak all that I command you. In turn, your brother Aaron will tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his land.

All Egyptians will know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of their midst." Exodus‬ ‭7:1-2, 5‬

I read Chapter 7 from the viewpoint of Pharaoh, his authority was being challenged and he was not going to bow down to a lower god from his perspective.  God's plan was to free the Israelites and to let Egypt know that He is God.  Pride is a powerful sin that will get in the way of us knowing God.  We dig in believing we are right not realizing that God is trying to reach us.  So God allows pride to do it's work.  Pride always comes before a fall for it blinds us to truth.  If we could only see from Moses viewpoint, he and God have a relationship, they talk.  Practice a little humility in your life, don't be so headstrong that you shut the other person out.  Try seeing it from the others perspective and understand why they do what they do.  God did and got the desired result that was needed.  Don't allow pride make you fall for if you do not practice humility, you will fall, a truth that repeats itself over and over again.

What is God saying to me: Listen

Dear Lord God, You are the only God in my life, root out all my prideful ways and as we talk, keep me off the path that leads to a fall.  I am listening and trusting in Your voice in my life.  Prayers for the practice of humility this morning Father, help me see the areas that need adjusting.  Prayers of thanksgiving for answered prayers, for unity in relationships and for the joy of living with You on the inside.  Help me practice what I preach.  Bless this day and the time together as a couple.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 6 9-5-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"that the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, "I am the LORD; speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I speak to you." But Moses said before the LORD, "Behold, I am unskilled in speech; how then will Pharaoh listen to me?"" Exodus‬ ‭6:29-30‬

The hardest part of any journey is starting, Moses could not see what God could see.  When God asks it requires us to step out on faith, Listen to God and act, do not delay in what He is asking.  We let our own fears, lack of skill or knowledge, our own short comings prevent or slow down what God is needing done.  God does not have any hands but yours, He does not have a voice but yours, He has no feet but yours.  If we would all act upon what God asks, this world would be Heaven.  Until then, I will listen, I will act, I will move even when afraid.

What is God saying to me: The Son shines in your heart, you must stand in My light if You are to feel My presence.  Live your faith and be a witness.

Dear Father, I too am unskilled and like Moses, I am willing.  I trust in You to guide my steps, my ways, my thoughts and my actions.  I pray for those on a journey lost in the fog, help them see the guidance of the Holy Spirit and trust in You even when fear gets in the way.  Speak Lord for Your servant is listening.  Prayers for our Church as it stands against the world, may the bricks and stones be strengthened by its foundation, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Exodus Chapter 5 9-4-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Then Moses returned to the LORD and said, "O Lord, why have You brought harm to this people? Why did You ever send me? Ever since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done harm to this people, and You have not delivered Your people at all."" Exodus‬ ‭5:22-23‬

Has this ever happened to you, you set out on a task for God and things get worse not better?  Moses had only begun his journey out of Egypt and his resolve was being tested.  The key is he returned to the Lord, God and him only began to meet.  We will face opposition anytime you are doing God's work, it is a war.  Returning to God when you are battle weary is the secret to your strength.  The outcome is God's not yours, your resolve is what you can control and being obedient to His voice.  Maybe the situation is helping someone overcome an addiction and God has asked you to help.  Your faithfulness to God speaks louder, do not be discouraged on the setbacks.  Jesus faced the same challenges only 10 times worse.  His outcome never got better in human terms but just like Moses, He hit His knees and went to God.

What is God saying to me: Your faithfulness will be tested, setbacks are part of life, being obedient is a choice.  Constancy in Your prayer life brings peace that does not react to the outcome.  Continue being obedient and watch, you will be amazed.

Dear Father, why do these things play out in life as I am reading Your word, You are the Great Teacher.  I thank You for the struggles, the moments of doubt and most important for the grace to turn to You.  This is a lesson that repeats itself often and I like the repetition for it keeps us constant.  Thank You Father for the lessons we learn on our journeys, I thank You for the setbacks as well as the victories.  Prayers for those being forced to slow down, may they hear Your voice in the stillness.  Watch over us this day and Thank You for the victory that is just around the corner.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.

Genesis Chapter 4 9-3-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

""But," objected Moses, "suppose they do not believe me or listen to me? For they may say, 'The LORD did not appear to you.'"

Again the LORD said to him: Put your hand into the fold of your garment. So he put his hand into the fold of his garment, and when he drew it out, there was his hand covered with scales, like snowflakes. Then God said: Put your hand back into the fold of your garment. So he put his hand back into the fold of his garment, and when he drew it out, there it was again like his own flesh." Exodus‬ ‭4:1, 6-7‬

Moses is human, he has doubt in his own abilities to convey the message.  God gives him numerous signs to give the Israelites, God must repeat Himself over and over again so we can begin to hear the message.  He seeks to save us but we do not always believe this message.  He sends others to convey His message, He performs miracles but we must accept it as our own or it is just a nice story.  God never stops trying to reach each of us and He will continue to do so.  Moses was the one chosen to carry the message so God could enter the world.  You and I must read between the lines to hear what He is personally saying to each of us.  God saves His people through others believing.  God is real, I have seen the miracles and I believe.  Do not doubt, accept the word of God.

What is God saying to me:  I have spoken and You know.

Dear Lord God, I see the doubt of others called to follow, You reach out and we get in the way.  Increase our faith Father so we may overcome our own doubts and lack of understanding.  I come before You this morning for help in a special situation, we all want the same thing, help us see Your way forward.  Prayers for a friend who has taken a fall, heal him Father for his Divine purpose.  Speak louder than our doubts, bless this day with Your will and may we sing only of Your coming Kingdom.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"Therefore I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them up from that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey, the country of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Girgashites, the Hivites and the Jebusites. Now indeed the outcry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen how the Egyptians are oppressing them. Now, go! I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt. But Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?"" Exodus‬ ‭3:8-11‬

Exodus Chapter 2 9-1-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Moses agreed to stay with him, and the man gave Moses his daughter Zipporah in marriage. She conceived and bore a son, whom he named Gershom; for he said, "I am a stranger residing in a foreign land." Exodus‬ ‭2:21-22‬

Moses is being called home to his roots.  Moses was saved by God, he escaped the killing of all the boys, he escaped the crocodiles in the Nile.  Saved by Pharaohs daughter, raised as an Egyptians in a place of honor much like Joesph before him.  He feels the injustice of the treatment of the Israelites and defends them by killing.  He escaped to a foreign land, to a new life only to feel the call of home.  Our roots have a way of bringing us back home.  God placed these desires within us and gives us free will to choose.  In our wandering God is preparing you for a mission, is it time to return to your roots and give glory, honor and worship to our God?

What is God saying to me: Listen

Dear Father, it is good that You have brought us here.  Life is a great teacher and we do hear the call of our roots, reaching out thru time to remind us what is truly important, honoring and worshiping You.  Thank You Father for preparing Your children for what is coming, You are always by our side and give what we each need.  Thank You for the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking thru others to allow us to hear Your voice.  Bless this day Father and May we honor You in our actions. Amen.
