Exodus Chapter 7 8-6-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD answered Moses: See! I have made you a god to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother will be your prophet. You will speak all that I command you. In turn, your brother Aaron will tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his land.

All Egyptians will know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of their midst." Exodus‬ ‭7:1-2, 5‬

I read Chapter 7 from the viewpoint of Pharaoh, his authority was being challenged and he was not going to bow down to a lower god from his perspective.  God's plan was to free the Israelites and to let Egypt know that He is God.  Pride is a powerful sin that will get in the way of us knowing God.  We dig in believing we are right not realizing that God is trying to reach us.  So God allows pride to do it's work.  Pride always comes before a fall for it blinds us to truth.  If we could only see from Moses viewpoint, he and God have a relationship, they talk.  Practice a little humility in your life, don't be so headstrong that you shut the other person out.  Try seeing it from the others perspective and understand why they do what they do.  God did and got the desired result that was needed.  Don't allow pride make you fall for if you do not practice humility, you will fall, a truth that repeats itself over and over again.

What is God saying to me: Listen

Dear Lord God, You are the only God in my life, root out all my prideful ways and as we talk, keep me off the path that leads to a fall.  I am listening and trusting in Your voice in my life.  Prayers for the practice of humility this morning Father, help me see the areas that need adjusting.  Prayers of thanksgiving for answered prayers, for unity in relationships and for the joy of living with You on the inside.  Help me practice what I preach.  Bless this day and the time together as a couple.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.
