Luke Chapter 9, Advent Day 9

"Then he said to all, "If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

But he answered him, "Let the dead bury their dead. But you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God." Luke‬ ‭9:23, 26, 60‬

Advent Day 9 - Who do you say I Am?  What a great question and it is one that Jesus asks each of us.  The life of Jesus pointed to who He was and what His mission was, it pointed to His Father in Heaven.  Our own lives also speak for what we give glory.  On our pilgrimage to Christmas ponder the question, what does your life say about God.  Does it speak of His glory, does it hide in shame when asked, does it proclaim the Kingdom, all challenging questions.  Without your participation in the body of Christ there will be an empty wicker baskets, you have an important role to play just as the first disciples did. Come Lord Jesus come.

What is God saying to me: Be patient with yourself, understanding comes with time and I Am giving it.  No stone will be left unturned.

Dear Father God, You are Almighty, You are Glorious, You are beyond what I can explain and You are my Messiah.  I thank You for the journey, for the joys and the struggles. I thank You for the strength when called upon and also the weakness that You are overcoming.  You challenge Lord God and in doing so You help us understand who we are and how much more there is, yet we are there, together.  Bless this day Lord, give hope to the hopeless, there is so much to live for.  Prayers for someone thinking about suicide, may they know they are loved by God, they are being called by God, may they seek You and find peace.  I ask this in the name above every other name, Jesus Christ, the King of Peace, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
