Psalms 66 - Saved

"Come and hear, all you who fear God, while I recount what has been done for me. I called to him with my mouth; praise was upon my tongue. Had I cherished evil in my heart, the Lord would not have heard. But God did hear and listened to my voice in prayer. Blessed be God, who did not reject my prayer and refuse his mercy."  Psalms‬ ‭66:16-20‬

Psalms 66 - Saved.  The Bible is full of stories about people being rescued and being saved, David recounts these stories.  We have all heard the same stories but until we can recount what God has done for me, it becomes our own.  David was blessed by God all his life and in his wanderings strayed from His teachings, in these times we realize what is important and from a distance God calls out to us.  Being thankful for who made you, carrys you and leads you is the beginning of hope.  Like David, we can be rescued and fall back into the trap, begin each day with praise on your lips and live the holy life God calls you too.

What is God saying to me:  Pray for him.

Dear Father, I am blessed this morning to reflect upon the life of David, to see the parallels and realize the graces that You give us.   I thank You for this week and the blessings that wait to be discovered, may praise be always on my lips even when things may not be going my way, You will see us through it.  Prayers for a friend in a battle, like David, You will hear his voice.  Bless this day Father, may we enjoy the beauty it has to offer.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Pray for us.
