Psalms 81 - You satisfy the hungry heart.

"In distress you called and I rescued you; I answered you in secret with thunder; At the waters of Meribah I tested you: 'Listen, my people, I will testify against you Selah If only you will listen to me, Israel! There shall be no foreign god among you; you shall not bow down to an alien god. 'I am the LORD your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. Open wide your mouth that I may fill it.'

Those who hate the LORD will try flattering him, but their fate is fixed forever. But Israel I will feed with the finest wheat, I will satisfy them with honey from the rock."" Psalms‬ ‭81:8-11, 16-17‬

Psalms 81 - You satisfy the hungry heart.  Will God test you?  Yes.  Did God not test Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.   In these testings, God is growing His roots within your heart.  A plant must grow deep roots if it is to be nourished.  The easy nutrients are only to get it started, in these trials where one has to strive for life giving nutrients, God is fertilizing a mighty oak.   God will remove His consolations to see if it is God you seek or if it is the gifts of God.  The source and summit of our human existence is to Love God with our whole heart and soul.  You will be tested, will you return to the One who gives the finest wheat?  To the One who gives honey from the firm foundation?

What is God saying to me?  Rest in My presence, there is much to do.

Dear Father, I thank You for the small trials that creates strength within.  I know this is a
process that we must all go through to fortify the walls.  I am listening.  Thank You Father for the good rains you have been giving.  I thank You for time spent with family and for what this week has to offer.  I thank You for the tests in my life that make me think.  Prayers for friends near and far that are facing challenges, fortify them Father and make them battle ready.  Bless this day and be ever at my side, Amen.
