"MORNING FACE TO FACE WITH GOD:
Begin with Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Fourth Exercise: #64: A Summary of the Third Exercise
Read the Reflection; pray #64 from The Spiritual Exercises; ask for shame and confusion because of the many grievous sins I have committed (#48), and for a growing and intense sorrow and tears for my sins (#55). The Fourth Exercise is described as "a summary of the third exercise." In other words, it is a repetition of the repetition in the Third Exercise. As St. Ignatius puts it, "the intellect, without any digression, diligently thinks over and recalls the matter contemplated in the previous exercises." When you come to think of it, repetition truly becomes a matter of the heart. The pondering and reflecting has been done in the previous exercises. The time for face to face, heart to heart intimacy has arrived. And to do this, once again St. Ignatius asks the exercitant to make use of the triple colloquy."
What is God saying to you? Humility and be present in every single moment of your life. If you are to amend your future, these two must be adhered to. When you are present in the moment with all your senses, I can be heard.
Dear Father, I thank You for the gift of Your Son Jesus, I thank You for the gift of those ordained to the priesthood and loving examples of a virtuous life. I ask for blessings upon friends and family this day. In Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Holy Mother of Jesus, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Protector of the Family, Pray for us.
Viva Cristo Rey.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
