Daily Thoughts - raising the dead. Come alive.

Daily Thoughts - raising the dead.  Come alive.

"The hand of the Lord came upon me, and he led me out in the spirit of the Lord and set me in the center of the broad valley. It was filled with bones. He made me walk among them in every direction. So many lay on the surface of the valley! How dry they were! He asked me: Son of man, can these bones come back to life? "Lord God," I answered, "you alone know that." Then he said to me: Prophesy over these bones, and say to them: Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!"  ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭37:1-4‬

The living Word of God.  Sitting with todays first reading, Ezekiel 37:1-14, His word comes alive for it is not a story without meaning.  The Breathe of God has been revealed within with the written word.  Watching God through the son of man, take dry bones and breathe life into them is a real experience.  It is the living Word of God within our own lives after we have taken heed to His voice.

Those of you who have experienced it know what I speak about, others are trying to figure it out and God says, it is already written.  When we listen to God within scripture, the stories become our stories, the Bread of life becomes real.   The dry bones are taking in the Word of God.

It begins with "He said to him, "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself."  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:37-39‬.  Loving God is spending time with Him in His word even if it is only a few minutes each day.  It all changes after we start hearing.

Dear Lord God, I see You in action, I see dry bones come alive with Your breathe, I see the valley of dry bones and I see the army.  Within scripture is truth it is our salvation, our destiny that brings about joy.  Prayers for dry bones to come alive with lived experiences that brings about ever lasting peace.  Thank You Father for the continued journey.  In Jesus name, Amen.
