VI. THE NECESSITY OF BAPTISM
1257 The Lord himself affirms that Baptism is necessary for salvation.60 He also commands his disciples to proclaim the Gospel to all nations and to baptize them.61 Baptism is necessary for salvation for those to whom the Gospel has been proclaimed and who have had the possibility of asking for this sacrament.62 The Church does not know of any means other than Baptism that assures entry into eternal beatitude; this is why she takes care not to neglect the mission she has received from the Lord to see that all who can be baptized are "reborn of water and the Spirit." God has bound salvation to the sacrament of Baptism, but he himself is not bound by his sacraments.
Fear not. Today we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. As I read the daily readings of the day, I reflect upon the heart of Mary within the first reading. I see our Mothers pain as she watches the trials and tribulations we endure. I see a heart pure and holy that seeks to turn her sons and daughters back to our Father in Heaven.
In the Gospel reading, I see Jesus speak of who we are battling with and the power that He gives those who listen and trust in God's divine plan. We live in a very troubled world these days, we hear of wars breaking out and a group of people in conflict. Yet Jesus and Mary convey the message of "fear not" and "trust in God." As you go about your day keep God close at hand and stay prayed up.
"Take courage, my children; call out to God! The one who brought this upon you will remember you. As your hearts have been disposed to stray from God, so turn now ten times the more to seek him; For the one who has brought disaster upon you will, in saving you, bring you eternal joy.""Baruch 4:27-29. Pray the Rosary daily for the Mothers intention as you contemplate the mysteries of each decade, she will assist you in finding hidden gems that are in plain sight.
Dear Father, We are blessed to live in these times and watch as what has been said comes to pass. Increase our prayer life and our conviction of honoring You in all that we do. Fortify these walls with prayer and faith in action so we may see the joy that awaits. Prayers of thanksgiving for the blessings You pour down from Heaven each day. As it penetrates the souls may we absorb their mysteries. Love Your son.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
