Daily Thoughts 12-31-2016 John 1:14

"And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father's only Son, full of grace and truth."  John‬ ‭1:14‬

He became one of us, do you think about His humanity?  Born in a stable, no crib for a bed.  Parents who had very little, far from the things we strive for.  Do you make room for Him in your life?   Do you see His glory in action in your own life?

We are beginning a new year with new hopes, make some resolutions that include the Son of Man.  Maybe it is more prayer time, adoration or sharing the gifts you have with others.  Make space for Jesus and be open to His Holy Spirit.

Dear Heavenly Father, You know our hopes and our dreams, let us never forget what truly makes us happy, seeking the will of God.  Help us to sing a new song this coming year, help us to share Your joy and peace with all those we meet.  Father, You are the giver of all good gifts, I thank You for giving us Your Son so we may get to heaven and walk in the peace of Christ.   In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, Pray for us.

Happy New Year, be safe and may Christ shine in your heart and family this coming year.

Daily Thoughts 12-30-2016 Colossians 3:14-15

"And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection.  And let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called in one body. And be thankful."  Colossians‬ ‭3:14-15‬

What guides you each day?  Do you pay attention to what drives you?  As I contemplate God's word this morning it hasn't always been love and the outcome hasn't been Peace.    Jesus is the bond of perfection and His direction produces peace.  So as you contemplate the coming year, what is God telling you?  It is found in His word.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your many blessings, the blessings of a quiet morning, the blessings of Your word, the blessings of Your grace.  I thank You Lord for the peace in my heart.  I ask that I always seek Your will for our lives.  May what I do be done out of love at all times.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-29-2016 1 John 2:8-9

"And yet I do write a new commandment to you, which holds true in him and among you, for the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining. Whoever says he is in the light, yet hates his brother, is still in the darkness." ‭1 John‬ ‭2:8-9‬

The light is already shining, we are completing our Christmas celebrations and preparing for a new year.   What is going to be different this coming year?  How are you going to shine the light of Christ in your life?  Are there any relationships that are in need of mending?  Don't let this darkness continue in your life.   Let this darkness pass away and let Christ shine.

Dear Lord, we are all a work in progress.   Prepare us for the coming year, fill our hearts with desire and forgiveness.  Bring peace into our lives so that we may share the joy of Christmas with others.  Lord, You are good to us, may the Christ Child continue to grow so we may better serve you.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-28-2016 Matthew 2:13

"When they had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him."" Matthew‬ ‭2:13‬

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Joesph and Mary did not know the outcome of their story, they were just following what God had placed on their heart. Was it easy, no. Did they face challenges, at every turn. God was with them the entire way, literally. The same is true for you, it is in those simple steps each day that the love of Christ moves forward. Spread His love.

Dear Lord, You always know how to inspire us. You stand by our side waiting on us to ask for help. May we seek You today and listen for Your voice. May Your Holy words guide us to what Your will is for our lives. Thank You Jesus for another day to serve You and Your family. In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-27-2016 1 John 1:3

"what we have seen and heard we proclaim now to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; for our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ." ‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:3‬

In the beginning was the word and the word was God. Jesus is the living word of God. As you spend time with Jesus, you get to know the Triune God. He becomes a friend you can visit with and learn from. I know I have said this before but it is worth repeating, it is in that daily relationship that you join in fellowship with Him and His covenant family. That relationship is in His word, decide now to do something different this coming year to grow that friendship.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us grow as we spend time together. Show us where we can change and become better disciples of Your Word. Build Your community of believers so we may learn to worship together. Strengthen us Lord God so we may become ardent disciples and may we always follow the prompting of Your Holy Spirit. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-26-2016 Acts 7:55

"But he, filled with the holy Spirit, looked up intently to heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God," Acts‬ ‭7:55‬

What a contrast, yesterday the birth of our Lord, today the feast day of St Stephen.   St Stephen had no problem speaking the truth no matter the circumstances.  His hope was not here on earth but in the heavens.  We are called to live in this world but to not be off this world.  Look to Jesus for your guidance, spend time getting to know Him and His story.   Jesus didn't come so we could celebrate His birthday, He came to free us from the enslavement of the wickedness and snares of the devil.

Dear Lord God, You see all that goes on, guide us today to look beyond the glitter and glamour to see You.  Fill us with Your Holy Spirit to speak the truth as St Stephen did.   Enliven our spirits Lord so we may see the glory of You in Heaven.  I ask this through Your Holy Name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-25-2016 Luke 2:15

"When the angels went away from them to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let us go, then, to Bethlehem to see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:15‬

Christmas is a special time of year and it goes by so fast.  But the joy never leaves us if we are like the shepherds and seek the Christ Child out.  We too can witness His mercy and grace if we would but look for Him.  There is newness in seeking Him, there is a joy that never leaves you.    God makes every effort to make Himself known to you if you would have faith and believe.

Dear Lord God, Happy Birthday!  May we be blessed with Your joy.  May we sit back and find Your peace in the simple things in life.  May we recognize when Your angels are all around us.  Lord, bless us with fond memories, bless us with desire to never stop seeking You.  Fill our spirits with Your newness and comfort us in our times of need.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

Merry Christmas, my Christmas wish for you is that you be filled with the joy of Christ.  Enjoy the little and simple things of life.

Daily Thoughts 12-24-2016 2 Samuel 7:12, 14a

"when your days have been completed and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring after you, sprung from your loins, and I will establish his kingdom.
I will be a father to him, and he shall be a son to me." ‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7:12, 14‬a

It is Christmas Eve, the reason we celebrate is almost here.  All the time and energy to prepare will be enjoyed with family and friends.  The memories that you make will last a lifetime.  God also prepared for the arrival of His Son, Jesus.  He did this over many centuries.  He foretold of His coming long before He was born.

Jesus is why we celebrate December 25, God gave us that day to remember the gift that He gave us, His Son.  There are some in this world who do not believe, pray for them, for they do not know what True Joy really is.

Lord God, the preparations are made for your birth, may You come into our hearts in a special way this Christmas.  May we understand the love you have for us to conquer sin, to help us be a pleasing offering in Your sight.  Lord speak to those souls who don't know You, help them see the reason for our joy.  I ask this in the name above every other name, Jesus Christ.

Mary, Mother of The Christ Child, pray for us.

Still need a last minute Christmas gift for that someone special, why not give them a relationship that will last for ever!

Merry Christmas from my family to yours, may the peace of Christ rest upon you and your family!  🌲

Daily Thoughts 12-23-2016 Malachi 3:1-2

"Now I am sending my messenger— he will prepare the way before me; And the lord whom you seek will come suddenly to his temple; The messenger of the covenant whom you desire— see, he is coming! says the LORD of hosts. But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand firm when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire, like fullers' lye."‭‭ Malachi‬ ‭3:1-2‬

I think back to a time my wife and I were waiting for our first child to be born.  The excitement and anticipation, the preparation we had done.  Our friends had told us what to expect and we thought we were ready.  And then she was born.  There were a lot of things we didn't know and had to learn and we weren't ready.  But she is our joy, we were committed, no turning back.   We have been refined, sometimes by fire, over the past twenty plus years.

My walk with Jesus is a lot like that, never perfect but committed.  Each day brings new life and newness to ones spirit.  Keep in mind you are being prepared for His coming, do you have the help of His covenant family?  Do you know who His covenant family is?

Dear Heavenly Father, I rejoice in knowing the Triune God.  I thank You for walking with me each day and helping me to know you better.  It has been and continues to be a new journey.  You are always there by my side, showing me the way.  May I continue to grow closer with You and may I always trust in where we are going.  I thank You for the messengers who are preparing the way for Your return.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-22-2016

"And Mary said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;" Luke‬ ‭1:46‬ ‭
Mary was chosen to carry Jesus, were you not also chosen to carry Jesus?  Mary and Joseph faced many trials in their lives, do you not face similar things?  They looked for a place for our Lord to be born at and faced rejection at every turn, do you face rejection?  Our lives parallel that of Mary and Joesph, in the end they triumphed and so will you.  Stay the course, seek God with all your heart and you will proclaim the greatness of the Lord with your lives.

The Lord hears the cry of the poor, blessed be the Lord.  Lord God, strengthen Your people.

Mother Teresa's prayer

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.  Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.  Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.  Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.  Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.  Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.  Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.  Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.  Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God.  It was never between you and them anyway.

Daily Thoughts 12-21-2016

"Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled."" ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:45‬

Mary knew Gods word and believed it with all her heart.  She waited for the Lord to fulfill His promises.  She has child like faith knowing that God would provide.  We are getting closer to Christmas, what about you, do you have the same faith the mother of our Lord has?  She knew what is humanely possible yet was experiencing God's possibility.

Dear Heavenly Father, You speak to each of us in different ways, may we be like our heavenly mother and believe with blessed assurance.  May we see Your possibilities and not our own impossibilities.  Help us to think clearly and react with good judgement.  Keep us out of harms way and give us the words when asked to speak.  I ask this in Your Holy Name, Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-20-2016 Isaiah 7:11

"Ask for a sign from the LORD, your God; let it be deep as Sheol, or high as the sky!" ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭7:11‬

I must say that is asking for a sign.  Sheol is the resting place for the dead and high as the sky is a long way up.  As I think about it, Jesus is the only one we know who went to Sheol and returned.  He is the only one I know that ascended to the heavens.  The answer can be found in Jesus, He is the one who brings peace.  He is the sign, that shines bright for us to follow.

Lord, as I ponder Your word, may I reflect upon its meaning for my life.  Please guide my thoughts and actions to reflect You in my life.  You are the sign Lord that waits patiently for us to figure it out.  Shine bright in our lives Lord and may the peace of Christ be with us today.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-19-2016 Luke 1:20

"But now you will be speechless and unable to talk until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled at their proper time."" Luke‬ ‭1:20‬

Zechariah was a devout man, a religious man, yet he still had doubt.  The angel Gabriel was in front of him and telling him, his prayer had been heard and answered.  Why his doubt?  Maybe he had been waiting for such a long time, he didn't think it possible anymore.  God, in His word, tells us to trust and believe in His word.  Maybe the angel Gabriel isn't standing in front of you but He is sending you the same message.

Dear Lord, I come before you this morning knowing You hear my prayers.  Help me with my doubt and unbelief.  May I learn to wait for Your proper time and not get in the way.  I thank You for the small signs you send us so we may believe.  Prepare our hearts for Your coming this Advent Season Lord so our voices may proclaim the good news at the proper time.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Amen.

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭7:14

700 years before the birth of Christ, the prophet Isaiah speaks the truth.  He tells of the coming of the Lord, by a virgin.  God kept His promise and Jesus has changed the world.  In another week we will celebrate His birthday over the entire world, He is written about centuries before His arrival, our calendar is dated to His arrival, now that is a sign.  Now the question is, has He changed you?

Dear Lord, You are a faithful God who always keeps His promises.  May our own lives be changed because You are faithful.  May we each see how You are with us each and everyday.  May I be open to all the possibilities in my own life.   Lord, You are faithful and I trust in You, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-17-2016 Psalms 72:4

"That he may defend the oppressed among the people, save the children of the poor and crush the oppressor." ‭Psalms‬ ‭72:4‬

God has no hands but yours - read on from Mac, He is living this verse and wrote the reflection with his actions.

Brothers, just a note today of how our Lord works in different and caring ways.

This morning at Primera food pantry we ran out of bagged groceries.   Out of no-where an old beat up car arrived and I went up to the ragged  man driving it and told him we were out of groceries to give out. He then explained to me he was there to give instead of receive.  In his car was over 300 dollars in canned soups. He said he  recently found Christ and now wanted to help others just as Christ does.  Praise God!

After he left a homeless couple showed up whose car was out of gas down the street and asked if we had a couple of bucks for some gas.  Janet and I had not one dollar on us, but scooped up about 60 cents in change. That 60 cents was welcomed by them and thanked us greatly. We felt bad and I told them I would go to the bank and get some gas money.  It looked as they lived in their car and they had no coats on in the drizzle and cold  weather.  Before I could get to the bank, a brand new jeep pulled up with a women who had some new coats to donate to the needy.  She immediately saw this homeless couple's needs , and had some new women and men's coats.  She gave them the coats and also some money for a motel .    I asked her who she was and her reply was "I am the women who just was driving by at the right time"   This was and example of humble giving and not letting the right hand know what the left was doing.

One last thing --On leaving the site there was a brand new T-shirt  on the hood of my truck.  On the front of it is an image of  Christ's   suffering face on the cross.   Don't  know who put it there but my eyes were opened on just what Christ has done for all of us.  Praise our Lord.  Mac

Dear Lord, may we be living witnesses of Your gospel in actions.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of All, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 12-16-2016 Isaiah 56:1

"Thus says the LORD: Observe what is right, do what is just, for my salvation is about to come, my justice, about to be revealed." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭56:1‬

We are a little more than a week from Christmas, is Jesus your friend?  Would Jesus say you are observing what is right and doing what is just?  Jesus is coming back and we all have to answer to Him, He is the judge.  Think about the things you are doing and decide what are worth continuing and what would be better for you to stop or change.  Salvation is about to come to those who make Jesus their friend and the center.

Dear Lord, may I do what is right and just in your eyes.  May my own ambition get out of the way.  May your kindness and love overpower my own selfishness.  Lord, Thank You for being a friend, someone we can confide in and seek direction.  May we listen for You and hear You in the peacefulness of our spirits.  There is peace in following Your direction.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-15-2016 James 3:9

"With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings who are made in the likeness of God."‭‭ James‬ ‭3:9‬

We are all guilty of it, that is passing judgement onto others.  Assuming that what we heard is true and then responding.  God doesn't make junk, He made us like Him.  Have you stopped to think how cursing human beings affects God?   You may not like the person but you do not have to curse God.

Are you the one being cursed instead of responding in like fashion, say a prayer for them that God will make them more like Him and move on.  Do not fall prey to the schemes of the devil.

Lord God, may I recognize the goodness in others and remember they are Your creation.  May I look past any hurts or pains and see You.  May I choose to not respond in like fashion and pray for those who curse me.  Lord may Your words heal hearts and bring the love of Jesus into this world.  I thank You Lord for healing a special little heart today.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com

"Turn to me and be safe, all you ends of the earth, for I am God; there is no other!" ‭Isaiah‬ ‭45:22‬

I went and did a little Christmas shopping yesterday, there is an overwhelming amount of stuff out there. I guess you could say I want this Christmas to be different. The things we give or receive only bring momentary satisfaction. It is God Almighty that last for ever, He is our safe harbor. There is nothing that can take the place of Him, come Lord Jesus and make this year different.

Dear Lord God, may we see past the glitter and glamour and be able to see the living God, the Creator of the universe. May we be kind to one another and not miss seeing hope in a beggars eyes. May our satisfaction be found in You, Lord Jesus, for You are the Savior of the world that is in need of saving. I thank You Lord for today, may I come and rest in You. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-13-2016 Matthew 21:28-29

""What is your opinion? A man had two sons. He came to the first and said, 'Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.' He said in reply, 'I will not,' but afterwards he changed his mind and went." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭21:28-29‬

Do you go out and work in God's vineyard?  The work is just living your life with God at the center.  To see the opportunities He puts in front of you and doing them.  It maybe helping a stranger in need, or saying God Bless or even just Merry Christmas.  It may be making amends with a family member.  Are you willing to share your faith with others in the simplest of ways.  There is strength in weakness, just be willing and let God lead you.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the examples you have placed along my path.  I thank You for another day to see You in action and another day to be strengthened for the journey ahead.  Lord God, touch Your servants with special graces and bring peace into their hearts.  May they see the face of God in others.  Special prayers for friends dealing with health issues, may Your healing hand be upon them and their families.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-12-2016 Zechariah 2:14

"Sing and rejoice, daughter Zion! Now, I am coming to dwell in your midst—oracle of the LORD."‭‭ Zechariah‬ ‭2:14‬

I wonder how we would act if God was in our midst in person.  I believe it would be completely different.  We would treat everyone with respect and dignity, we would know that He was real.  Just His presence would change the unbelieving, they would no longer doubt, they would see their savior.  As we wait upon the Lord, it is us who must demonstrate His love here on earth.

Dear Lord God, You know what we face each day, a world that thinks only of itself.  May we bring Your peace and joy to those around us.  May we learn to pray for those who persecute us.  May we be Your loving presence Lord as we wait for You.  Help us put on Your shield as we prepare for the day ahead.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-11-2016 Isaiah 35:4

www.dailythoughts.com

"Say to the fearful of heart: Be strong, do not fear! Here is your God, he comes with vindication; With divine recompense he comes to save you." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭35:4‬

We wait patiently for the Lord, He comes to cleanse us and to give us His divine reward.  Why do we not see the things directly in front of us?  Our pride gets in the way, our own desires get in the way.  Waiting upon the Lord is something that we learn to do each day.   He comes to save, we must pay attention and realize that it is the fearful of heart that are ready to be saved.

Lord God, makes us fearful of heart so You may save us.  May we come to understand that You are in control.  Our way will not work unless You are leading us.  Thank You Lord Jesus for all Your blessings.  May we wait patiently for You to work in our lives and those around us.  Lord, come and save us, Amen.

Knowing and loving Jesus, do you realize what a blessing that is?  How many times in my life did I miss God calling out for me?  I was either some place else and just wasn't paying attention.  I am speaking of my past as I look back.  There is a special bond when you grab the Fathers right hand, it is always there, have you grabbed on yet?

Daily Thoughts 12-09-2016 Isaiah 48:17

www.dailythoughts.com

"Thus says the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the LORD, your God, teaching you how to prevail, leading you on the way you should go." Isaiah 48:17
‭‭
Listening to God, as you listen He does direct you and His ways stand the test of time. If you are expecting instant results then you may be disappointed. Just read your bible, most of the stories happen over time and the ones with a good outcome remained faithful to God, they prevailed and therefore so did God in their lives.

"And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren;" ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:36‬. Elizabeth and Zacharias are just one of these stories. So maybe things ain't working the way you think they should but if you are doing your best to follow God, trust that He knows the way forward and continue to follow.

Dear Lord Jesus, only You know our future, we are to follow Your lead today and trust in Your ways. May Your Holy Word speak to us and give us comfort in knowing how to prevail. Lord, I look forward to the day and may I be a blessing in Your sight today. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-8-2016 Luke 1:28

www.dailythoughts.com

"And upon entering, the Angel said to her: "Hail, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women." ‭Luke‬ ‭1:28‬

Was the mother of the Son of God without sin?  Or another way of asking, could the Son of God be fed by a woman who also carried sin?  God chose Mary for a special purpose, to bare His Son.  "Behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and you shall bear a son, and you shall call his name: JESUS." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:31‬ ‭This was done by the power of the Holy Spirit.  In order for God to become Son of Man, Mary had to say yes.  For she provided the egg that was to become Jesus.  So I ask you again.  Can God permit His Son to be in a temple that also carried sin for nine months and be fed by that temple for nine months?  In my logical way of thinking it is not possible.  In my spiritual way of thinking it is not possible.

"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to have compassion on our infirmities, but rather one who was tempted in all things, just as we are, yet without sin." Hebrews‬ ‭4:15‬ ‭Jesus was born without sin, His being is made up of half of His mothers genes and the other half of His Fathers genes.  Mary was full of grace from the time she was born and with out sin is the only possible outcome.

Dear Heavenly Father, I lay my soul at your feet today Lord.  I ask for Your help and guidance today to be able to do Your will.  Lord Jesus, I trust in You, help me stay out of the way.  I thank You for another day to try again. Amen 🙏

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 12-7-2016 Isaiah 40:28-29

"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is God from of old, creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary, and his knowledge is beyond scrutiny. He gives power to the faint, abundant strength to the weak."‭‭ Isaiah‬ ‭40:28-29‬

Do you realize your life mirrors God's word.  There is power and strength in His word.  Each day we go out to battle, some days are victorious other day's end in defeat.  God never changes nor does His word, it is us who change as we grow closer to Him.  When you feel weak and are growing faint, plug in, listen to your heart.  The Holy Spirit will guide you and we must be humble enough to follow, no matter what He asks of us.

Lord Jesus, Your word does give us strength and puts vigor back in our step.  Keep us safe today as we go out into the world, may we always realize where we need to turn in our times of need.  May we be humble in our actions today Lord and not fall victim to the schemes of the devil.  Send us Your angels to guard over us and may we not take our eyes off of You.   In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-6-2016 Isaiah 40:3

"The voice of one crying out in the desert: "Prepare the way of the Lord! Make straight the paths of our God, in a solitary place." Isaiah‬ ‭40:3‬

Can we live at this time and be in the desert?  A desert is a very parched land that is thirsty, thirsty for the truth.  We can become complacent in our faith thinking we have it all figured out and not hear the cry in the wilderness.  That message cant be for me, it is must be for someone else.  ‬‬Are your words and actions preparing the way of the Lord?  Or are you drowning from the message of the world?  Find a little alone time and reflect upon this scripture, what is it saying to you?

Lord God, I come before you knowing that there are times I am not always listening to the cry, may I slow down and pay attention.  May my actions prepare the way for the Lord.  For You are coming Lord Jesus and I want to be ready and not caught off guard.  Lord bless this day with peace and give grace to those that are starting off on a new adventure.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-5-2016 Luke 5:20

www.dailythoughts.com

"When he saw their faith, he said, "As for you, your sins are forgiven." Luke‬ ‭5:20‬

Jesus told this to the friends of the paralyzed man on the stretcher.  He forgave the sins of the paralyzed men and recognized the faith of his friends.   Who do you know that is in need of help and maybe paralyzed by something.  Maybe they are just stagnant not really going anywhere and just need a friend to help them on their journey.  Bring them to the Master and allow Him to heal, after all it is the season of giving.   What better gift of faith, then our Lord Jesus Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, may we not miss the meaning of Christmas this year.  May we take our eyes off ourselves and see what you see, a world being paralyzed by sin.  May our faith grow deeper trusting in Your divine forgiveness so we may help those that you put in front of us.  Lord may this coming year be different in our lives.  May we be willing to help carry those in need and share the faith You gave us with them.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts Luke 3:4b, 6 12-4-2016

'Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths. and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.'" ‭‭Luke‬ ‭3:4b, 6‬

We make ready our homes with lights and decorations, do we make ready our spiritual selves?   Do we take an inventory of where we are at and get ready for the newness of Baby Jesus?  You need to do a little house cleaning to make room for more of Christ this coming year.  Confessions is a great gift to give to God this Advent season, listen to your heart and make a little more space for Jesus, after all we are always growing in spiritual maturity.  Ask Christ for something new in your spirit this coming year and prepare the way for Him.

Dear Lord God, thank You for the blessings of rain and a good  slow rain that will benefit us this coming year.  Thank You Lord for another opportunity to honor the glory of Christ at mass.  Send us Your Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts and actions.  Cleanse our hearts Lord for more of You in this coming year.  May we experience newness with You this Christmas season and may we share Your joy with others.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-3-2016 Isaiah 30:19-21

www.dailythoughts.com

"Yes, people of Zion, dwelling in Jerusalem, you shall no longer weep; He will be most gracious to you when you cry out; as soon as he hears he will answer you.  The Lord will give you bread in adversity and water in affliction. No longer will your Teacher hide himself, but with your own eyes you shall see your Teacher, And your ears shall hear a word behind you: "This is the way; walk in it," when you would turn to the right or the left." Isaiah‬ ‭30:19-21‬

Have you ever carried a burden for a long period of time?  It weighs you down, impacts your spirit and won't go away.  These verses are for God's people, He tells us to ask for help.  To no longer carry the burden alone.   It is He who knows how to cure but we have to ask.  Then He points the way, He shows you or gives you the help you need.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and follow His ways.  It may not be clear but your heart will lead you, let it go.  What is that inner voice telling you to do?  Pray about it and then follow.

Dear Lord, I thank You this morning for understanding and for hearing Your words.  May I listen and trust in the way forward, You always know how to solve our issues.  Keep us safe on our journey Lord and may we follow our heart as we trust in You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-2-2016 Matthew 9:28-29

www.dailythoughts.com

"When he entered the house, the blind men approached him and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I can do this?" "Yes, Lord," they said to him. Then he touched their eyes and said, "Let it be done for you according to your faith." ‭Matthew‬ ‭9:28-29‬

The blind men pursued Jesus, they sought Him, their other senses told them Jesus was near.  They knew Jesus was the solution.  You ever watch someone struggle with life and situations and be completely blind to the answer.  They see the impact God has in others life yet they choose to turn a blind eye to Him(The Answer).  Nothing changes until your faith tells you to try Jesus, then He enters in because you were ready for Him.

Lord Jesus, You can remove ever burden and make us new again if we would only listen for You.  Help us hear the message Lord and increase our faith to seek You out.  May those that are no longer blind be Your messengers today Lord so the blind may hear You coming.  Thank You Lord Jesus for being the difference in this once blind mines eyes.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 12-1-2016 Psalms 118:19-20

www.dailythoughts.com

"Open the gates of righteousness; I will enter and thank the LORD. This is the LORD's own gate, through it the righteous enter."‭‭ Psalms‬ ‭118:19-20‬

Anger and greed are a funny thing, our human nature gets in the way when we respond.  God is telling us it is He who will respond, we are to walk through the gate of His righteousness.  Christ did not fire back a response when under attack personally.  He said, forgive them Father for the know not what they do.    We are not to be self-righteous for this is the work of the devil.  Open God's gate of righteousness and give it to him to control.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for belonging in Your covenant family.  I thank You for Your guidance in my life.  Lord You always know how to respond may I turn my challenges over to you and let Your righteousness shine through and not my sinful righteousness take over.  Lord bless this day with insight and understanding, give us the words when asked to speak and may we never forget we are loved by You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-30-2016 Romans 10:15

"And how can people preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring [the] good news!" Romans‬ ‭10:15‬

For the longest time I thought the good news was only meant to be said by the preacher.  As it is said at the end of mass "Go forth and spread the Gospel with your lives."   We hear it ever Sunday, do we practice it?  Jesus has no feet but yours!  Our lives ARE a witness to others no matter if you say or do anything.  Might as well spread the Good News in all that we do.

Dear Lord Jesus, I come before You this morning to ask forgiveness, I don't always spread the good news, some days I slip and fall.  Please forgive me.  I love You with all my heart and only want to please You, may I remember this throughout the day when things don't always go right.  Thank You Lord for giving us hope and ability to live in the greatest country in the world, may we not take it for granted.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-29-2016 Luke 10:23-24

www.dailythoughts.com

"Turning to the disciples in private he said, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:23-24‬

I had the pleasure of going to a Spanish mass last night, they had it going on!  I didn't understand the words but sure felt the spirit and compassion of their praises.  Sometimes we just have to observe to see God in action.  What about you, do you step back and watch others, as you do you will see the Spirit working.

This advent make the decision to make it different, get involved, be engaged, prepare to receive Christ in a new way.  What can you do to celebrate the birth of Christ this year that you haven't done in the past?

Dear Heavenly Father, to witness others praise and honor You is a blessing.  To be able to see You in action brings joy to the heart.  I thank You for letting the blind see and the deaf hear.  May we realize that there is always newness in our faith if we are open to getting out of our comfort zone.  Lord may this Advent season bring newness to our lives, our prayers and those around us.  In Jesus name I pray.

Daily Thoughts 11-28-2016 Matthew 8:7

"He said to him, "I will come and cure him.""
‭‭
Do you invite Jesus in?  Pretty amazing to think about the journey and witness the things Jesus has done.  Who else do you know throughout history is able to cure and continue to do so?   There is none other than Jesus.  We have to be open and willing to accept what ever Jesus has for us.  He waits for us to ask and then He says, "I will come and cure him."  Maybe the cure is immediate or it happens over time, only He knows.  Jesus is the only one!!

Dear Lord God, You continue to amaze me.  I thank You for all that You have done and all that You are doing.  May we recognize when You are in our midst and are seeking an invitation to enter.  May we always come to You when we are in need and not turn to some vice to seek comfort.   Lord, bless this day we each are embarking on, may we use the time You give us to the best of our abilities.  I ask this I n the name above every other name, Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-27-2016 Matthew 24:38-39

"In [those] days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day that Noah entered the ark. They did not know until the flood came and carried them all away. So will it be [also] at the coming of the Son of Man."
‭‭
As we prepare for the advent season, the coming of the Lord.  These verses reached out to me, times are pretty much the same.  There are those who are getting ready, like Noah and there are those who think it foolish.  History has a way of repeating itself except this time it won't be a flood.  We are not promised tomorrow, maybe we think we have time but in reality the Son of Man will come to each of us, prepare the way for Him.  Be a messenger for Jesus this Christmas season.

Dear Lord, I so enjoy this time of year, the festive lights, the decorations in our homes.  Help us prepare our hearts, as well, or You Lord.  Help us see the true Joy in knowing You and making room for You.  May we hear You calling for us Lord and may we respond by sharing Your Love with others.   In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-26-2016 Psalms 95:1-2

"Come, let us sing joyfully to the LORD; cry out to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with a song of praise, joyfully sing out our psalms."  Psalms‬ ‭95:1-2‬

This is a great time of year, we get to spend time with family and friends.  There is a lot to be thankful for and to count our blessings over.  God's gifts are lasting, these times with family we get to treasure.  These memories last forever, we will be able to carry them for ever.  Thank God for all that you have and all that God has given you.  He never fails to provide the things that are lasting.

Dear Lord God, You are the rock of our salvation that gives us life and gives it abundantly.  May we see the things that are important and never miss an opportunity to be joyful.  May we always sing Your praises Lord God and be hopeful for tomorrow.  Give us insight and understanding to not miss an opportunity to witness for You.   May today be filled with blessings that last forever.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-25-2016 Psalms 119:11

"In my heart I treasure your promise, that I may not sin against you." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:11‬

Is there a sin that is not against God? If He bore all our sins on the cross then the answer is no.  What do you treasure in your heart?  Is it happiness or is it pleasure.   The word of God produces happiness, the world gives us pleasure.  The next time pleasure presents itself, think about what you are doing to God and replace pleasure with happiness by honoring God.

Dear Heavenly Father, we have so much to be thankful for, our families, our friends, the love we have for You. As we begin to prepare for the coming of the Lord, may we treasure your promise.  May we seek you this Christmas season and help those we encounter realize that it is Christ we celebrate not the pleasure the world tries to give.  Bring peace into our homes and our hearts by helping us be obedient to our promises.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-24-2016 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Happy Thanksgiving!!

"In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:18

There are things that happen to us or around us that are out of our control, God is telling us to be thankful.  His will is for us to always be thankful, there is good that will come from it.  God uses all of our circumstances for His glory so today, reflect back and see the good that has come.

Enjoy your time with family and friends.  Remember Christ has no hands but yours, no feet but yours, no eyes but yours, no ears but yours, no voice but yours and no body but yours.  Let His light shine today thru the darkness.

Daily Thoughts 11-23-2016 Luke 21:19

www.dailythoughts.com

"By your perseverance you will secure your lives." Luke‬ ‭21:19‬

When it gets hard, or we get frustrated, or things don't go as we planned, do we get to give up or give in?  NO!  No one ever said it would be easy, maybe you feel you are by yourself.  Continue marching forward doing what your conscience is telling you to do.  The prize goes to the victor not the guy that tried really hard and let things get in the way. The nice thing with God, you can ask for forgiveness and His help and begin again.  He knows who you are fighting and He knows how to win.  Plug in each day with prayer and begin again.

Lord God, it is not easy on the battlefield of life, strengthen Your warriors for battle.  ""Great and wonderful are your works, Lord God almighty. Just and true are your ways, O king of the nations. Who will not fear you, Lord, or glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All the nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed."‭‭Revelation‬ ‭15:3-4. May Your Holy words increase our perseverance and our desire to know You Lord God.  Triune God, be our all.

Safe travels to you and yours. 😀😀😀

"I rise before dawn and cry out; I put my hope in your words." Psalms‬ ‭119:147‬

We begin again, yesterday is forgotten both the victories and the losses.  All we have is the day ahead, as I begin today, I ask God to help me and to be ever on my mind.  No matter what comes my way, that I always remember He is in charge and not me.  There is a joy in the quiet of the morning, nothing to distract you but your thoughts.  How do you start your day?

Father God, I know You hear me and I know you know my day.  May I always trust in what You have in store.  May I remain in peace as I am now.  May nothing trouble me to the point of frustration always recalling You are in control.  You see my future, I just need to live it according to Your will. Daily Thoughts 11-21-2016 Revelation 14:5

"On their lips no deceit has been found; they are unblemished." ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭14:5‬

Have you considered God has a plan to make you a saint, if you let Him?  This isn't done by our own power and might but by the power of God.  We must let go and let God.  Today you are to go out and do what God asks of you.  To live the life that He has planned for you.  A life that has purpose, that has joy in it, that isn't full of strife.  Go be a saint today to those that you meet by being the person God calls you to be.  Remember, it is His plan and you will be unblemished when it is all done.

Dear Lord Jesus, take the day You have given us and use us as You see fit.  Overcome any short comings and help each of us get me out of the way.  Lord, I am not sure why I feel the way I do but I trust in You, there is purpose and reason for it.  May Your grace be poured out on Your people and may we strive to live the life You call each of us too.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, Amen.

"He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son," Colossians‬ ‭1:13‬

Do you feel like you have been plucked out of life that wasn't going anywhere other than focusing on me?  I find myself going back several years this morning and thinking about being in a fog and not even realizing it.  Then Hope enters in, a life that isn't lived for me anymore.  Does that mean the darkness is gone, no it just means Christ the King is there shining the way forward.  What about you, has Christ entered in?  Is He the One that brings joy to your day.

Lord Jesus, You are the King of my world, may I always honor You each day.  I thank You for Your strength especially when I am feeling weak.  It is You that delivered us from darkness may we be living examples of Your hope in the world.  Lord God, You showed us how to fight, all in peaceful ways and with love, may we follow Your example.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-19-2016 2 Timothy 1:10

"but now made manifest through the appearance of our savior Christ Jesus, who destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,"
‭‭
What a beautiful morning we are having, my heart just wants to sing God's praises today.  Have you stopped and thought about the resurrection of Christ.   Here is a man, born of a virgin, who conquered death.  That can be some of our worst fears, to die.  Jesus defeated death, what is there to fear?  Life becomes immortal once we have accepted Jesus and walk in His ways.  Death has no power over Jesus and if the One in you is greater than the one in the world, you have nothing to fear either.

Dear Lord God, You are the creator of the universe, it is You that gives us breath.  We can not breath without You allowing it, may we come to know that You have dominion over Your people and there is nothing that we should fear.  May we recognize You in our surroundings today and always have You on our minds.  Heal Your land Lord, one person at a time.  I ask this through the name above ever other name, Jesus Christ.

"Your testimonies are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart." Psalms‬ ‭119:111‬

Do you think about God during the day, while at work or at play?  Knowing God is seeing Him everywhere, in all that you do and how you respond to others.  There is a joy that is hard to explain and a feeling of just being at peace.  Take some time today and witness God in your environment.  Take some time today and read His word, get to know Jesus so your heart may be full of joy, for He is your heritage.

"Lord Jesus, come and stay with me. Fill my life with your peace, my home with your presence, and my heart with your praise. Help me to show kindness, mercy, and goodness to all, even to those who cause me ill-will or harm."  Prayer forwarded by a friend, may you be blessed with these words today.

Daily Thoughts 11-17-2016 Luke 19:44

www.dailythoughts.com

"They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation."" Luke‬ ‭19:44‬

Jesus said this as he rode into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. He knew what was coming and most would abandon Him on the days ahead. There was Jesus in their midst yet they did not know the Son of Man was there.

We are given opportunities to speak up, to witness for Him. To bring peace into the world and our own lives. Do we speak or do we let ourselves miss the opportunity. Do we add to the turmoil or do we ask God for help and to usher in peace. This is what Jesus was trying to do, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid." John‬ ‭14:27‬

Dear Lord, I thank You for the day that lays behind and for the one that will dawn tomorrow. Calm our spirits when we want to respond, help us witness to Your presence in our lives and not miss the times of Your visitation. Lord God, You are so good to us, may we just be at peace knowing You are guiding our lives. Amen.

Can we play it safe in life?  Nothing is ever gained by playing it safe.  There is no growth, there is no failure only the same thing you had before.  God calls us out into deeper waters and this isn't by playing it safe.  Jesus never played it safe, He challenged the status quo, He brought out the best in people.  He is our example of what we are to do, each in our own way.  Today you will be given the opportunity to grow, what are you going to do?

Dear Lord God, Send us Your Holy Spirit and enliven our hearts to step out into deep waters.  Bring Your Spirit into our day, may we take our eyes off of ourselves and place them upon You.  It is You that gives us hope and joy, may we honor You today by living the lives that You are calling us too.  Lord, may we be overjoyed with the results as we expect nothing to be gained.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-15-2016 Revelation 3:16

"So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth." Revelation‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭

Can we stand on the sideline and watch the game going on?   We can but you will be puked out by Jesus when the game is over.  Does going to church constitute being in the game?  It is a good start but, you have to participate, you have to be in the game.  Get involved, do something, be engaged, help where you see they need help.  I do not understand why men just sit in the pews and are observing.  In my opinion this is being lukewarm.  Jesus tells us so many times in the Bible, "do not be afraid".  Well the only way to overcome fear is doing so Coach (Jesus) is telling you get in the game!

Lord God, Your church is in need of men that will stand up and be counted, may those men come forward and help.  Our children need examples of Christian living, may those men come forward.  May we not be afraid and step up, the reward out weighs the fear.  Help us overcome our fears Lord by turning up the heat, may Your Spirit speak to our souls.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of peace, come to our aid.

Daily Thoughts 11-14-2016 Revelations 2:3-4

"Moreover, you have endurance and have suffered for my name, and you have not grown weary. Yet I hold this against you: you have lost the love you had at first." Revelation‬ ‭2:3-4‬

Here is a question for you, can following Christ become hohum?  Have you been painting God inside a box?  There is a newness to being a Christian then that becomes normal over time.  Christ is never normal, He goes beyond anything we can think off.  I believe Jesus is telling us to never stop seeking Him for there is newness every single day of our lives.   Remember He is God and greater than anything we can comprehend.  Look for ways to bring the newness of Christ into your life, help someone who doesn't know Him.

Dear Lord, may I never stop searching You out Lord.  May I seek ways of seeing You in others, in those I meet and in those that are in need of help.  Lord may my dry bones come alive through Your Holy Spirit.  I am overwhelmed Lord at the vastness of Christ, bring newness to my day.   Bring joy into my heart Lord and help those weary travelers be renewed in Your Spirit.  May Your Holy Spirit enliven our spirits.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of protection, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 11-13-2016 Luke 21:14-15

www.dailythoughts.com

"Remember, you are not to prepare your defense beforehand, for I myself shall give you a wisdom in speaking that all your adversaries will be powerless to resist or refute." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭21:14-15‬

Jesus is coming, after His ascension into Heaven this will be His triumphant return.  This truth will always be with us until He returns.  But maybe Jesus hasn't come to you or those around you.  Maybe they have been baptized by water but not by the Spirit.

Your own life testifies to the power of God.  Jesus is telling us it isn't you that they will be hearing but Him through you.   When called to testify, step up and just start speaking.  I have witnessed the power of the Holy Spirit and it is truly amazing.   They will not be your words but His.

Dear Lord Jesus, we place ourselves within fearful walls, may you knock down those walls.  May Your beauty shine through that transformation in each of our lives.  Lord God, I know there are those searching for happiness may they see the joy that You bring into our lives.  May we recognize the power of the Holy Spirit during mass today.  May we come to honor You and not have any expectations of anything in return.  I ask this in Your most Holy Name, Amen.

Mary, Protector of the Innocent, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 11-12-2016 3 John 1:6

"they have testified to your love before the church. Please help them in a way worthy of God to continue their journey."
‭‭
Each of us is on a journey, we begin at birth and this phase is over at our physical death.  Love is instilled within us and then we set off.  We are given gifts and talents that we are to use to help those around us and ourselves.  When you look back are you helping others?  Are you focused on your own situation?

When you take your eyes off of yourself and help others get what they want then your situation seems to go away.  God will take care of you if you take care of those he brings into your path.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray today is a good day.  I pray for those that are dealing with various situations, give them peace and comfort knowing that You hear their call and are sending them help.  May we recognize when You are asking us to help and may we step in and help others continue their journey.  Increase our love for You Lord and guide us today to be one day closer to You.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of peace, pray for us.

Have a great day!

Daily Thoughts 11-11/2016 Luke 17:28-29

"Similarly, as it was in the days of Lot: they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building; on the day when Lot left Sodom, fire and brimstone rained from the sky to destroy them all." Luke‬ ‭17:28-29‬

Is Luke telling us we are not to do these things?  I don't think so, the people of Sodom ignored God.  They didn't honor Him, worship Him, listen to Him or pray to God.  They brought it upon themselves, likewise we have the same choices.  Do we honor God, do we take time to worship Him, do we listen to Him and do we pray to Him.  All simple actions that take effort and a heart that seeks Him.

Dear Lord God, You speak to us and we are too busy speaking.  Slow us down Lord and calm our thoughts so we may hear You.  Lord, may we listen to the messengers You put in our lives each day.  May we share Your love thru acts of kindness.  May we say YES, when asked to step up.  Comfort us in our moments of despair and let us hear your voice that says "trust in Me."  I ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Mary, Gentle Woman, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 11-10-2016 Philemon 1:20

"Yes, brother, may I profit from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in Christ."‭‭ Philemon‬ ‭1:20‬

Iron sharpens iron, I have witnessed a fair amount of converted hearts, brothers that have recognized what the purpose of life is all about.  I remind each of you, especially me, that we are our brothers keeper.  Each day is a fight, the evil one is out to stop us.  He tries to get us to rest or distract us in many ways.  Keep each other in your prayers and thoughts.  If the Holy Spirit puts a name in your mind, reach out and check on them.  To God be the glory.

Dear Lord, I thank You for helping me put on the battle armor each morning.  I thank You Lord for those who refresh our hearts so that we may honor You.   Lord, may Your hand of protection be upon all of us and may our desire to know You increase each day.  Help us Lord to think before we respond when being attacked.  Help us be at peace when we are in pain.  Bless those that are battling some form of illness, may we all strengthen them thru prayer. In Jesus name, amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 11-9-2016 Ezekiel 47:9

"Wherever it flows, the river teems with every kind of living creature; fish will abound. Where these waters flow they refresh; everything lives where the river goes."
‭‭
As everyone awakes this morning, some are happy, some are upset, yet life goes on.  Our hope is upon the Lord, it is He that brings life into our day not some politician.  God will never disappoint, He will never lie to us, or cheat us.  God will always provide for our needs when we trust Him.  Have faith brothers and sisters and wade into the living waters of Jesus where there is joy and everlasting life.

Dear Lord, life is never easy may we place our trust in you and stand the test time.  May we be refreshed with your living waters Lord.  May You become our hope for the future then the peaks and valleys become a gentle rolling range.  I pray for those who counsel and teach us this morning, may Your healing hand be upon them.  May Your living waters flow through us today.  I thank You for Your blessed reassurance.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-8-2016 Titus2:11-12

"For the grace of God has appeared, saving all and training us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live temperately, justly, and devoutly in this age,"
‭‭
As followers of Christ, we are always being trained and guided by the Holy Spirit.  Doing all that we are asked to do is our task at hand.  This never ends in this age for we do not attain our true happiness until we are with The Father in heaven.  Therefore we must not rest thinking I am a good and faithful servant because of what I do.  You are only doing what is expected of you.   The day you believe you have arrived is the day you begin to lose.

Dear Lord God, may I never think better of my self because of my actions.  May I never take my hand off the plow for the work is never done.  May I be the dutiful servant doing the task at hand not thinking anything other than to please You.  Lord, I ask that the joy in my heart increase this is reward enough for all that You are doing.  Bring peace into our day and guide us on our path.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of all, pray for us Sweet Lady, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-7-2016 Titus 1:2-3

www.dailythoughts.com

"in the hope of eternal life that God, who does not lie, promised before time began, who indeed at the proper time revealed his word in the proclamation with which I was entrusted by the command of God our savior," Titus‬ ‭1:2-3‬

Do you witness God's timing, it is truly amazing to see God in action.  To know that we are each called to be followers of Christ and to witness to His love each and everyday.  He knew the day, the hour, the minute when He would enter in.  There is joy in following Christ, do not let this world take that joy.  Plug in to Jesus, find a bible study, go to mass more than one day a week, pray the rosary.  Seek God out and live His mission He has for you.

Dear Heavenly Father, words can not describe my feelings this morning. My heart burns for You.  You are the giver of every good gift.  May we use the skills and talents you give us to glorify the Lord.  Send Your angels to watch over us and protect us Lord.  May we seek Your face and turn to You at the beginning of each day.   May we be living witnesses to the love of Jesus today and may we bend an knee in thanksgiving for all that You do for us.  I ask this in Your Most Holy Name Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-6-2016 Luke 20:38

Luke 20:38

"and he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.""
‭‭
What joy there is in living for God.  What is your focus in life?  To please man or to please God.   Pleasing man is dead, pleasing God is life eternal.   We all have the same hope in Jesus Christ but do we act on that hope, do we stand up for Him?  Eternity is for ever, what ever we must endure on this earth is worth it to be with the God of the living.   Take up your cross and live!

Dear Lord, I thank You for the joy in my heart, You are the living God.  Give us the grace to live according to Your word.  Give us the desire to read Your word and learn from You.  Lord Jesus, show us how our actions speak louder than anything that we do.  You are the God of the living who wait for their eternal reward, may Your Kingdom come within our hearts.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Mary, Spiritual Fortress, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 11-5-2016 Philippians 4:13

www.dailythoughts.com

"I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me." Philippians 4:13
‭‭
When was the last time you sat in the presence of the living God?  He speaks to our spirit when we take the time to do that.  Who empowers you, is it God or the world.   The world wants to beat you down and crucify you.  It tells you, you are not worthy.  God on the other hand gives you the gifts that are needed.  He tells you, you are worthy, He blesses you with the ability and strength to bring others to Christ.  Listen to God and live in His presence, ever at your side.

Lord Jesus, I love You with all my heart, there is nothing I will not do for you.  Speak to our spirits Lord, open our hearts to Your message each and everyday.   Bring peace and comfort into our thoughts. Strengthen us Lord Jesus to do Your will.  You showed us how to overcome the world, by looking to the Father, may we imitate Your example.   I ask this through Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-4-2016 Philippians 3:17

www.dailythoughts.com

"Join with others in being imitators of me, brothers, and observe those who thus conduct themselves according to the model you have in us." Philippians‬ ‭3:17‬

Who do you model yourself after?  We all look up to someone, are they imitating Christ?  Jesus's life was always testifying for the Father.  He is pointing the way home, are your cares and desires that of Jesus or are you focused on things of the world.  Our lives testify a message, what is yours saying to others.

Dear Lord Jesus, You always lead us to the Father, may we see areas that are in need of improvement.  May Your Holy Spirit speak to us and bring us closer to You.  May we consider our actions and contemplate if they are a true representation of the life of a follower of Jesus.  I thank You Lord for the blessings of rain and for the continued growth of Your Church.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 11-3-2016 Philippians 3:3

www.dailythoughts.com

"For we are the circumcision, we who worship through the Spirit of God, who boast in Christ Jesus and do not put our confidence in flesh,"
‭‭
Living in the flesh or living in the spirit, as I think this morning, I must remind myself that it is thru the power of God's spirit that I must live in. No matter what I see it is thru His Spirit that must compel me to move forward. We have each been cut out of the world and are called to go forth and live in the spirit of God. If I live in the flesh than I am powerless and I will obey the flesh. This is no longer an option because it is Christ Jesus that I worship.

Lord God, You bless us each day to put our feet on the floor, I thank you for giving us rest in Your Holy Spirit. I thank You for helping in our daily life's to be able to see You. Lord God, bless Your people with a care free heart and a spirit of peace. Open the eyes and ears of those that you are calling out of the world to be heirs to Your Kingship. In Jesus name, amen.

Mary, Mother of the Innocence, pray for us.
