Daily Thoughts 9-29-2017 Zechariah 2:14

"Sing and rejoice, daughter Zion! Now, I am coming to dwell in your midst—oracle of the LORD." Zechariah‬ ‭2:14‬

How is your daily walk?  Are you moving towards God or moving away.   In the Old Covenant God dwelt in the temple, in the New Covenant, He walks amongst us, shepherding His flock.  He seeks us to heed His voice.   It isn't until we sit still and get to know Him do we begin to hear Him.  "Ignorance of scripture is ignorance of the Lord" - St Jerome, a Doctor of the Church who translated the Bible from Hebrew to Latin.   Open His Word, read a couple of verses and listen.  What is God saying to just you?

Dear Lord God, I long to hear Your voice.  Help me grasp what it is You are saying.  You are a loving God who seeks a relationship with us.  May I continue to grow in our relationship until that day You bring me home.  I ask for prayers for those that are either standing still or moving away from You.  Open their senses so they may know You, the One True Living God.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-29-2017 Revelation 12:10-11

"Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have salvation and power come, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Anointed. For the accuser of our brothers is cast out, who accuses them before our God day and night. They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death." ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12:10-11‬

"Thy kingdom come, thy will be done", we say this each time in the Our Father, where is the kingdom at? The kingdom is our own hearts, reread the Bible verses above with the thought of kingdom being your own heart.  The accuser, the devil, fights for the same place, he wants to deny the truth that God is real.  Yet the blood of the lamb and your testimony will cast the accuser out of the throne room of others and God will take His rightful place.  God is real and He seeks a relationship with you each and everyday.  He seeks you to be a disciple just where you are at.  God is truth and He loves you for who YOU are..

Dear Lord God, You are more than I can comprehend.  I give You authority in my life, I will follow You to the ends of the earth.  You have cast out the accuser that resided in Your rightful place.  Bless this day with peace and opportunity to respond to Your commandments.  Thank You for the protection of Your angels to watch over us.  May I use my brain and talents to open the door for You to enter in others lives.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 9-28-2017 Haggai 1:5-8

"Now thus says the LORD of hosts: Reflect on your experience! You have sown much, but have brought in little; you have eaten, but have not been satisfied; You have drunk, but have not become intoxicated; you have clothed yourselves, but have not been warmed; And the hired worker labors for a bag full of holes. Thus says the LORD of hosts: Reflect on your experience! Go up into the hill country; bring timber, and build the house that I may be pleased with it, and that I may be glorified, says the LORD." Haggai‬ ‭1:5-8‬

The futility of working and creating without honoring or recognizing God You're Savior, this is the message of God.  There is no satisfaction in life unless we are honoring God, just a simple plain truth.  Reflect upon your own experiences in life, we are truly happy and fulfilled when we are in communion with God.  We are not satisfied when we live for ourselves, the hunger is never filled.  Slow down and get in communion with your Heavenly Father and begin living.

Dear Triune God, I thank You for Your fellowship and Your constant presence.   I thank You for the desire to know You better.  Watch over Your children today as we go into the world.  Help us see the love You have for each of us and how by putting You first in our lives we are complete.  May I be super sensitive to Your Holy Spirit and may I sing Your praises at every opportunity.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-27-2017 Ezra 9:6,8

"I said: "My God, I am too ashamed and humiliated to raise my face to you, my God, for our wicked deeds are heaped up above our heads and our guilt reaches up to heaven.

"And now, only a short time ago, mercy came to us from the LORD, our God, who left us a remnant and gave us a stake in his holy place; thus our God has brightened our eyes and given us relief in our slavery." ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭9:6, 8‬

The mercy of our God is always upon us, will we reach out and accept it as our own, a pure gift from God, our creator.  You ever beat yourself up over something that you did, maybe it was a screw-up, maybe a bad decision or just plain old sin.  The devil wants nothing more than to have us wallow in that mess and he has been doing this to people since the dawn of time.   God looks down upon His perfect creation and gives us His mercy and forgiveness, He gives us His Son.  Life teaches us many things, we learn from these times in our lives, we learn to love ourselves as God loves us.  Do unto others as you would have them done unto you, this also applies to the man in the mirror.    God brightens your eyes and has given you relief, smile and enjoy your day, He is proud of His creation.

Dear Heavenly Father, You made each of us perfect, allow us to accept Your Son Jesus into our lives.  May we receive Him as Your perfect gift to us and allow Him to change us.  I thank You Lord for loving me a sinner, You know my past, my present and my future and You still love me, may I never forget this.  And may I go about the rest of my days living out my life with You in my heart and the Living Presence in my eyes.  Jesus, I trust in You, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-26-2017 Luke 8:22

"He said to them in reply, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it."" ‭‭Luke‬ ‭8:21‬

Jesus is telling us what is required to be in the family of God.  We listen each time we hear a homily but do we act.  To follow Christ and be part of His family requires faith to act upon His word.  To trust in the King of  Glory and act upon His direction.  Some can take this scripture out of context and miss its meaning, Jesus loved His mother.  She was chosen before time to carry Him into this world.  Do you act upon His word?  "Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home." ‭‭John‬ ‭19:27‬. Do you honor the mother of Christ as Jesus did?

Dear Lord God, You invite us into Your covenant family, we are blessed to be able to call upon the Father, Son and Holy Ghost to guide us through the day.   Thank You for showing us how to respect Mary, our spiritual mother.  Your word is truth, You are love, teach me Your ways and build Your Kingdom upon earth.  May I always act out my faith and belief as I go through this world.   To God be the glory, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 9-25-2017 Psalms 126:6

"Those who go forth weeping, carrying sacks of seed, Will return with cries of joy, carrying their bundled sheaves." Psalms‬ ‭126:6‬

Nothing comes easy in life, if it does you really don't want it.  God provides for all our needs and He asks us to take what we have been given and do more with it, give it away and prepare for a bountiful harvest.  Your joy doesn't come from what you hold on to, it comes from what you give away.  Some food for thought this morning, enjoy your week and go plant His seed.

Dear Lord God, You bless us with Your word, it is a treasure that never stops providing for our needs.  May I grow deeper into its mysteries and may it become the seed for Your joy.  Watch over us this week and be pleased with our offerings.  I trust in You and seek to please You.  Strengthen my will and prepare each of us for what lies ahead.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-24-2017 Matters 20:4 Isaiah 55:6

"and he said to them, 'You too go into my vineyard, and I will give you what is just.'" ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭20:4‬

"Seek the LORD while he may be found, call upon him while he is near.." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:6

The Lord is always near to us and is always at the ready waiting for our response to Him.  God tells us to go into the vineyard but He does not force us to go. He gives us the ability to decide for ourselves..  But He reminds us that this time will not always be available to us to decide to follow Him.  When we are called home this is when we will be accountable for our actions.  The workers in the vineyard all got paid the same amount whether they been following for a long time or just got started.  The choice is yours and yours alone.

Dear Triune God, Your love is beyond measure and You reach out continually seeking a response.  You are patient with us as we decide. May we see with eyes of faith to heed Your voice and be the dutiful servants.  Thank You God for all that You do for us.  Thank You for the blessing of family, may we too be patient with them as they decide to respond to Your voice.  I ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-23-2017 Luke 8:6,13

"Some seed fell on rocky ground, and when it grew, it withered for lack of moisture.

Those on rocky ground are the ones who, when they hear, receive the word with joy, but they have no root; they believe only for a time and fall away in time of trial." Luke‬ ‭8:6, 13‬

Are you growing your roots deep?   In order for a plant to grow it needs sunshine(God) and water(prayer).  Prayer is the moisture we need to feed our spirit each day.  Prayer draws us closer to God and He feeds us.  In this daily prayer we grow stronger and change into God's divine plan for our lives.  Without prayer we get blown around and wither.  Be sure to water God's seed that He planted in you do not let the trials of life beat you down.

Dear Heavenly Father, trials will always come our way but with our roots in the depth of Your heart we will not be troubled.  Give us an extra dose of Your Holy Spirit so we may grow deeper.   Help us see how the lack of prayer impacts our spirit and our response in the world.  Bless those Lord that are in the storm may Your Holy Word penetrate their spirit and bring peace.  I ask this in Your Holy name, Jesus Christ.

Daily Thoughts 9-22-2017 1 Timothy 6:6,10-11

"Indeed, religion with contentment is a great gain.

For the love of money is the root of all evils, and some people in their desire for it have strayed from the faith and have pierced themselves with many pains. But you, man of God, avoid all this. Instead, pursue righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience, and gentleness." ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6:6, 10-11‬

Are you content with your position in life?  Seeking worldly riches is not the answer to your uncontentment.  God tells us to seek Him and He will give us the things that will satisfy.   Happiness isn't found in the pursuit of money it is found in the pursuit of God and following His will for you.  You will either figure this out through the experiences of others or you will achieve the worldly success and still not be satisfied.   The same goes for religion, if we view going to church and practicing our faith is to serve us we are missing the point.  We practice our faith to worship and honor God.  Seek the living presence of God and be satisfied forever!

Dear Lord God, Bless this day with peace, a sense of satisfaction in doing Your will and help me be at peace with whatever comes my way today.  I only seek to serve You Lord God, may You decide the outcome.  May I be more devoted to You and Your Holy Family.  Jesus, I trust in You, Jesus, I trust in You, Jesus, I trust in You.

Daily Thoughts 9-21-2017 Matthew 9:9

"As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man called Matthew, sitting in the tax collector's booth; and He said to him, "Follow Me!" And he got up and followed Him." Matthew‬ ‭9:9‬

Today we celebrate the feast day of Saint Matthew, a normal guy just doing his job who responded to Christ.   Each of us has that same opportunity to listen to the call of the Lord and follow Him.  We think everything has to be just right before we respond.  Saint Matthew was a tax collector, not a prestigious job, nor was he perfect far from it.    God does not call the perfect, He perfects the called.  Will you heed and follow His voice just where you are at today.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.
Saint Matthew pray for us.

Dear Lord God, we go out each day into the world, remind us the example we set impacts those around us.  May we never forget our purpose in life is to get to heaven.  Perfect in us Your Holy Spirit, give us the grace to respond to Your voice and be attentive to the task at hand.  O my God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You.  I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You.  Speak to them God so they can change their ways.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-20-2017 1 Timothy 3:14-15

"I am writing these things to you, hoping to come to you before long; but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth." ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭3:14-15

The household of the Living God is the world we each go into each day.  God tells us to live by His commandments and to profess our faith in Him.  To be a shining light in the darkness that we encounter.   If we are a people of God than even in all this turmoil we will share our hope of who is to come, our Lord Jesus Christ.   It is He whom we place our trust in, He will carry us into the promised land so be at peace and do not concern yourself with all these pains, focus on Him.

Dear Heavenly Father, my heart is ready O God, my heart is ready.  Give me strength as I go into the day.  May I praise You in the marketplace.  May I praise You in my weakness and in my strength.  It is You that gives us hope and the promise of eternity.  I pray for a friend who is ailed with bone issues, heal him Lord of all afflictions, breath life into his weary bones, put joy in his heart.  Glory and praise be Yours, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Daily Thoughts 9-19-2017 Luke 7:13-15

"When the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her, and said to her, "Do not weep." And He came up and touched the coffin; and the bearers came to a halt. And He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise!" The dead man sat up and began to speak. And Jesus gave him back to his mother."
‭‭Luke‬ ‭7:13-15‬

In our daily lives, how many people do we come across that are dead men walking?  They have yet to
Come to know the Great Prophet, Jesus.  How many people who are trapped in a world without the joy of Christ in their hearts.  Can you have compassion on those that you meet and tell them how Jesus said to you, "Young man, I say to you, arise!"  God will provide the opportunity and you will respond just like the young man in the story, he sat up and began to speak.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am thankful for the joy in my heart.  I am thankful for being no longer confined by the world.  Open my eyes and ears to what is going on around me.  Speak life into my world, bring joy back into families that are living for worldly treasures.  Increase our understanding and desire to speak truth at all times.  Increase our faith so we may see faith in action.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭28:7‬

Growing in strength takes repetition and effort.   One does not become strong by sitting down once a week and exercising.  Trust isn't built up in another's abilities by visiting once a week.   If we are to be strong in God and He is to be our shield then He will be our constant companion.  You will exercise with God regularly everyday.  Your song of thanksgiving will be your efforts throughout the day offering Him praise in actions by doing the things He asks of you.  Be blessed today for God is at your side, will you take His hand.

Dear Lord God, You are my strength and my shield for I am weak by myself.  With You, I am strong.  Continue to perfect my efforts in daily living.  Strengthen my desire to please You and keep me out of harms way.  Bless my efforts today and those I will be traveling with.  May I use the little time You give to glorify You.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;" ‭Psalms‬ ‭103:3-4‬

Who?  Jesus!  Do we take the time to acknowledge and thank God for all that He has done for us.  You are blessed, you are the child of the King, who teaches and guides you.  He pours out His lovingkindness and compassion on you so we may do the same.   Faith isn't held on to it is passed onto others by our loving actions.  He desires to pour more of His grace upon us if we would heed and follow Him.   Thank Him for all that He has done and is doing.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am blessed beyond measure with the gift of You. Joy fills my heart thinking of You and what You are doing.  I look forward to receive You this morning as we celebrate Your kindness and compassion.  Pour out Your grace upon us so we may cherish Your loving actions.  Bless us Lord with Your healing touch.  Encourage us Lord to give You away as You have done.  I am but a humble servant who seeks Your face.  May You bless this day.  I ask this through the name above every other name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-16-2017 Luke 6:46-48

""Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' but not do what I command? I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, listens to my words, and acts on them. That one is like a person building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when the flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it because it had been well built." Luke‬ ‭6:46-48‬

How do you build a foundation upon God?  He will be your core if you will sit still each day and spend time in His presence, reading scripture and reflecting upon what He is saying.  Listen to what God is saying to you and then act.  It would be easier to stay sleeping but then that would be building your house out of straw.  Seek His grace and build it one stone at a time each and every day.

Dear Lord God, I hear you calling and I thank You for the grace to respond.  Thank You for the will to follow Your lead.  I thank You for the strength to deal with the storms of life may I never lean on my own strength.  I pray for all families that are dealing with the devastation of the flood.  Give them Your strength to start over and rebuild, make them stronger.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-15-2017 John 19:25

"Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala." ‭‭John‬ ‭19:25‬

The mother of our Lord Jesus Christ having to bare the death of her son, can you imagine?  Jesus hanging on a cross.  Do we really stop and realize the pain they experienced?  We can read a story and gloss over it, these were real people that lived these events.  They willing lived them because they loved God.  What about you, are you willing to live the events of your life and love God?  Any time you feel the pain unbearable just look at the cross of Jesus and live.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for calling us out of the darkness and into the light.  Thank You for giving us Mary, who understands the pains and joys of life.  May we learn to gaze upon You when we need strength.  May we take time and just be still so we can grow together and love You more deeply.   I pray for those that are on their death beds and their families that are experiencing the realities of life.  May the Holy Family be their comfort always.  In Your most holy name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-14-2017 John 3:14-15

"And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life." ‭‭John‬ ‭3:14-15‬

For by Your holy cross, You have redeemed the world.  Today is the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.  Moses prayed for the Israelites and God told him that anyone who gazed upon the bronze saraph serpent would be saved.  Jesus willingly accepted His fate to take our sins and die on the cross so we may live.  How do you lift up the Son of Man?   How do you profess your faith in Christ?  Even in our trials and tribulations God will take these burdens from you if you would gaze upon the cross.  He waits with open arms to embrace you and show you new life in Him.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for dying for me so I may live life in Your glory.  May I gaze upon You and accept the things I can not change and change the things I can.  You give us freedom to choose our paths in life, You had a choice as well and you choose me.  May I lift high the cross and praise and worship Your sacrifice with actions that glorify the Son of the Living God.  All praise and honor is Yours and Yours alone.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-13-2017 Colossians 3:5-6

"Put to death, then, the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry. Because of these the wrath of God is coming [upon the disobedient]." Colossians‬ ‭3:5-6‬l

We have a choice to what we give power to.   Our thoughts lead to actions and our actions lead to results.   We must not think of the earthly things but renew the mind and train it.  "Think of what is above, not of what is on earth."  Colossians‬ ‭3:2.   Jesus died on the cross for the parts of us that are earthly.  He died and gave us new life so we could walk in Him.  Call upon the name of Jesus when your thoughts start going to the earthly things before you act.   He is the great I Am, ask for help and He will.

Dear Heavenly Father, You sent Your Son to die on a cross so we could have new life.  Renew our minds so we can call upon the name of Jesus when we need help.  Build up Your community of believers so others see the power of walking in Him.  May we continue to be strengthened by Your word and may you bless this day.  Thank You for all that You do so we can live forever.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-12-2017 Colossians 2:6

"So, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in him," ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:6‬

Is Jesus a friend?  We all have friends, those people that you lean on and confide in, those that you listen to and they listen to you.  Can you say that about Jesus?  I don't mean any disrespect about His divinity but we can place Him so high up that He is just God.  How do we then walk in Him if we don't know Him and He us on a personal level.   The apostles walked with Him each day then they learned to walk in Him when He went to heaven.  His spirit still lived with them after He physically was gone.  We are called to do the same but first He must be a friend and then can we profess Him.  Be His living presence and be His compassion on those that you encounter today.  Walk in Him and walk with Him.

Lord, help me walk in You today, help me see what You would see, help me do what You would do.  Forgive me when I will slip up, I recognize my weaknesses and ask for Your help to be as You call us to be.  My life is in Your hands, mold me and use me as you use Your disciples.  Thank You for the moments of insight that are unexpected, bless each of us with Your presence as Your Kingdom comes.   In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-11-2017 Colossians 1:27b-29

"it is Christ in you, the hope for glory. It is he whom we proclaim, admonishing everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. For this I labor and struggle, in accord with the exercise of his power working within me." ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:27b-29‬

It is Christ within that seeks to reach out.  Have you figured out your purpose or mission in life, in the end, it will be to profess the gospel with your life.  In our unity with Christ we go beyond ourselves and become whom He created us to be.   We must get out of the way and allow Him.   We each play an important part in the body of Christ, when you are not engaged it impacts His body.

Dear Lord God, I will do what You ask of me.  Take my will and make it yours, You are the King of my heart.  Help me be more patient with myself, allow me to let go and let God.  My I remember it is Christ within that overcomes all the challenges.  Thank You for the day ahead.  I pray for all those whom are impacted by these storms, may the sun shine and renew hope.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.

Daily Thoughts 9-10-2018 Romans 13:8

"Owe nothing to anyone, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law." ‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:8‬

Love thy neighbor comes with responsibility.  It is easy to love them when they are doing no wrong but what about when they are.   To love them is to try and dissuade them from their wicked ways.  Look at Jesus, He always convinced those going down the wrong path with love, He let them make the decision.  Love the person and hate the sin, we are all made in the image of God.

Dear Lord God, Bless this day with peace and joy.  I thank You for spending time with family and enjoying each other's company.  Help me love as You loved, help me see as You would see.  You never condemned but pointed to the way of truth.   May I speak the truth and always do it with love.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-9-2017 Colossians 1:21-22

"And you who once were alienated and hostile in mind because of evil deeds he has now reconciled in his fleshly body through his death, to present you holy, without blemish, and irreproachable before him," ‭Colossians‬ ‭1:21-22

By the blood of Jesus we have been washed clean, as white as snow.  Have you given it all to Jesus, all of it?  He is God that seeks to reunite each of us with Him.   We live in a world that is hostile to Him yet He still comes to rescue each of us and make us holy.  Don't hold back anything and claim new life in the blood of Jesus.  No longer be alienated from Him, be His and walk this journey together.   Life is meant to be lived to the fullest, only through Jesus is this accomplished.

Dear Heavenly Father, be my everything, I need you each day of my life.  Peace is only found in Your presence, You calm the storms and make me whole.  Thank You for dying for me, a sinner, so I have the hope of eternity to be spent in heaven.   Please protect all those in the way of these storms, bring humanity response for all those that have already been impacted by these storms.  Life is precious, may we cherish the time You give us and give back what You have given.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son, who died for all, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Victory, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 9-8-2017 Romans 8:29

"For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers."
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:29‬

God gave each of us entry into heaven, He tells us how to get there through His Son Jesus and we are made perfect to accomplish His will.  Jesus is the firstborn amongst many brothers.  Is He your brother?   We each choose to follow or not.  Jesus is impacting so many lives in a powerful way in those that are honoring God with their lives, they are fulfilling their Heavenly Fathers wishes.   Be still and listen, pay attention to what is going on around you, God is at work and it is amazing to see Him in action, be who God predestined you to be, the child of The King.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for all that you are doing, I thank You for my brothers and sisters who are standing up and praising you in the marketplace.  This world fights against us but You give us the strength and ability to fight back and become the saints that we are each destined to be, if we would just follow You.  I pray for a special friend that You have sitting still, bless Him Lord with the strength of Jesus.  May You give each of us the strength to move one step closer to You today.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Seat of Wisdom, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 9-7-2017 Luke 5:5-6

"Simon said in reply, "Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing, but at your command I will lower the nets." When they had done this, they caught a great number of fish and their nets were tearing." ‭Luke‬ ‭5:5-6

Being obedient to the will of God, even when one is weary and tired is always the right decision.  The abundance awaits those that will honor God in their actions.  We all want to see the fruits of our labor but maybe God is preparing you for a bigger catch, all He asks of you is to be obedient and follow His direction.  The results are not yours but His.

Dear Loving God, You bless each of us with knowledge and understanding, I thank You for being patient with me.  You gave us a heart that desires results but only You know the proper time.  Continue to encourage proper actions and prepare us for the Kingdom that is to come.  May You always be on my lips today, may I always be ready to sing praise to You, for You have done great things for each of us.  Lead Master and I will follow.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 9-6-2017 Psalms 52:10

"But I, like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God, I trust in God's mercy forever and ever." Psalms‬ ‭52:10‬

Where is your source of nourishment?  Olive trees are known for their tenacity, they will grow in fertile ground, rocky ground, dry arid weather or wet climates.  They are a source of food and oil.  When Noah was looking for a sigh of dry ground it was a olive branch that he received from the dove.  It had survived the flood.  Our faith needs to be like that of the olive tree, trusting that in all times, God is your source of nourishment, He will provide.

Dear Lord God, we begin again a new day to flourish in Your Kingdom.  I pray for good nourishment and an open spirit to receive You today.  Thank You for Your wisdom and Your Son Jesus to be my guide today.  Strengthen my roots that this tree will produce good fruit for Your Kingdom.  I ask this through Your most holy son, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 9-5-2017 Luke 7:16b

"A great prophet has arisen in our midst," and "God has visited his people." Luke‬ ‭7:16‬b

As you gaze upon a crucifix, is Jesus alive or dead in your life?  He LIVES, He is real and walks amongst us healing those who call out to Him.  You are given the opportunity each day to live for Him.  What ever comes your way today is for the glory of God if that is how you choose to live your life.  The hope that we all seek is found in Jesus Christ, He is our salvation.   Take time out of your day and spend it with Him, listen to Him or pour your heart out to Him.  He is always ready to hear what you have to say.

Dear Triune God, You lead us on a journey where we do not know what tomorrow brings but You are leading and it doesn't matter.  You know my desires, make them Yours for my life. Let me live today as You would.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-4-2017 Luke 4:21-22, 28-30

"He said to them, "Today this scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing." And all spoke highly of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth. They also asked, "Isn't this the son of Joseph?"

When the people in the synagogue heard this, they were all filled with fury. They rose up, drove him out of the town, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their town had been built, to hurl him down headlong. But he passed through the midst of them and went away." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭4:21-22, 28-30‬

Jesus was preaching in the synagogue of His hometown, His audience were in disbelief, here was the son of Mary, a carpenter's son preaching.  They could not accept what Jesus was telling them.  They seen a man whom they watched growing up and now He was telling them that the prophecy of Isaiah was being fulfilled.   Their prejudice to His past had blinded them.  How many times do we feel rejected by those closest to us because of our past.   Like Jesus we are to keep walking on and not let their unbelief deter us from His purpose.

Dear Lord God, help me push through when I feel rejected.  Help me see beyond the current situation and look forward to tomorrow.  Bless these words to make a difference in someone's life.  Bring the Joy of Christ to all who believe, give us the grace of perseverance when trials and rejection comes.  I thank You for Your love.  May today be filled with Your hope.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-3-2017 Romans 12:2

"Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans‬ ‭12:2‬

Your daily walk in the renewing of your mind does transform us.  Look back, how have you changed?   Are you more open to speak about God and your faith.  This is living the life calls us too.   Do you slow down and discern His will for you, God speaks to us but we have to listen and respond.   As we renew our minds we are being transformed into the body and blood of Jesus, it is Him within that is responding.  Jesus be our everything.

Dear Lord God, You are awesome, each day You move us to grow with You and through You.  The lessons You reveal as we gain insight into Your Holy Word changes us and seeks to be spread beyond our lips.  Teach us as You taught Your Son and His followers.  May our efforts be pleasing and perfect in Your sight.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 9-2-2017 Matthew 25:20-21

"The one who had received five talents came forward bringing the additional five. He said, 'Master, you gave me five talents. See, I have made five more.' His master said to him, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master's joy.'" Matthew‬ ‭25:20-21‬

To whom much is given, much is expected.  How does someone double their talents?  They use them, they put them to work.  We do not grow by sitting still, we only grow by using the gifts God has given us. You also must step beyond your comfort zone, there is no growth in what is already comfortable.  God challenges us to go do what He did.  In the end we get to share in the Masters joy, by the grace of God.

As an after thought and using your talents, the CCD or CCE programs could use your faith in Christ to teach the youth in your community, will you respond?

Dear Father God, I humble myself in Your presence.  You are greater than any of the things that I will face this day.  Be my everything, help me set my will aside.  Watch over all of those helping in their communities.  May they share in Your joy and spread Your joy.  Thank You for a quiet restful morning.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 9-1-2017 Matthew 6:19-20

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and decay destroy, and thieves break in and steal. But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:19-20‬

Where your treasure is, there your heart will be.  We spend our time building up earthly treasures only to see it consumed by disaster.  All that stuff can be replaced, the treasure we should be storing up is Jesus Christ.  It is in neighbor helping neighbor, stranger helping stranger, it is in giving of ourselves to help those that God has placed upon our path of life.  In today's readings God tells us "Therefore, stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:13‬.  What will the Bridegroom find you doing, where will your treasure be.

This morning's bible verse was given to me by a friend who's bible was opened up to this scripture.  All his possessions were loaded up in a dumpster yesterday and taken to the landfill.  God is real and He does speak to each of us, listen to Him.  In the tragedy there is always Hope.

Dear Heavenly Father, my heart goes out to all those impacted by this storm.  May they find peace in these events of life.  Thank You for showing us how to help each other, Thank You for the tremendous response of people helping each other.  Point the way Lord, let me hear and see, move me to respond as You would.  You are my treasure and I need more of You.  Bless this day with Joy.  In the Great name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.
