"And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life." John 3:14-15
For by Your holy cross, You have redeemed the world. Today is the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Moses prayed for the Israelites and God told him that anyone who gazed upon the bronze saraph serpent would be saved. Jesus willingly accepted His fate to take our sins and die on the cross so we may live. How do you lift up the Son of Man? How do you profess your faith in Christ? Even in our trials and tribulations God will take these burdens from you if you would gaze upon the cross. He waits with open arms to embrace you and show you new life in Him.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for dying for me so I may live life in Your glory. May I gaze upon You and accept the things I can not change and change the things I can. You give us freedom to choose our paths in life, You had a choice as well and you choose me. May I lift high the cross and praise and worship Your sacrifice with actions that glorify the Son of the Living God. All praise and honor is Yours and Yours alone. In Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Our Lady of Sorrow, pray for us.
