Daily Thoughts 10-31-2017 Romans 8:20-21

"for creation was made subject to futility, not of its own accord but because of the one who subjected it, in hope that creation itself would be set free from slavery to corruption and share in the glorious freedom of the children of God." Romans‬ ‭8:20-21‬

Whom are you subject too?  With freedom comes responsibility, you are saved, you have New life in Christ, you are born again.  Does that make you better than anyone else?  When you are enslaved you are under the control of someone else.  Being set free comes with responsibility because what placed you in prison can sure put you back there if you are not careful.   Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely, the same with your freedom, if you believe that you can do no wrong and you are always saved then you are subject to the error of your ways.  We can not save ourselves, only Jesus can, in the end it will be up to Him.  The question He will ask is what did we do with your freedom.  Don't be like the King in Luke 16:19-31

Dear Lord God, to whom much is given much is expected.  I subject myself to You, I am a slave to You, You are my Master.  It is Your voice that I listen and follow, not my own or anyone else.  Enslave me to Your ways and make me pure.  I place my hope in You that upon the last day You will rescue me.  May I learn to rest in Your arms and to not lean on my own understanding.  Lord, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner. Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-30-2017 Romans 8:17

"and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him." Romans‬ ‭8:17‬

Children are teachable, they listen and obey, what about you?   If you do then God gives us His inheritance, a free gift - eternal life. Joint heirs with Jesus, our brother who was obedient to death.  He accepted the suffering that came His way.  He bore the suffering for our sake.  You likewise being an heir and his brother or sister can offer up your suffering for mankind.  Don't count the price look at the reward and allow God to ease your pain.  Be disciplined in your life, spend time in adoration, gaze upon the master and be healed.

Dear Lord God, our sufferings are nothing compared to Yours.  Fill our hearts with gratitude with the confidence You place upon us.  Grant us peace today in our endeavors, fill us with the hope of eternal salvation and lighten the load. Thank You for more warriors that entered the fight, build them up and prepare them for victory.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-29-2017 Matthew 22:37-38

"He said to him, "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment." Matthew‬ ‭22:37-38‬

Seems like a simple commandment doesn't it, we are to honor the God of the Universe and our creator, with all our heart and all our soul and all our mind.  What do our actions really say about this bible verse?  Do we love God when our neighbor offends us and we lash out?  Do we love with all our heart when we choose to skip spending time with God?   Are We any different than the people of Jesus's time.  They flocked to Him to be healed and yet they yelled "Crucify Him, Crucify Him", when He really needed them.   God asks us to look at our lives and make a decision to be offended, take it on the chin, to speak with love, to walk with each other and help them see Christ in action.   Otherwise we are nothing but a sounding clang that our faith rings hollow, no different than the Pharisees.  Do you love your neighbor to the point you would die for them, Jesus loved us that much.

"if then my people, upon whom my name has been pronounced, humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear them from heaven and pardon their sins and heal their land." ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭7:14‬  it is you that will heal our land by actions, loving actions that do not condemn.   Remember Christ has no hands but yours, no feet but yours, no eyes but yours, no ears but yours, no voice but yours, YOU are His body!

Dear Father God, I love You, I love You, I love You.  Give me the grace to respond in love like You did when I am being hurt.  Give me the grace to love my neighbor when I don't feel like it.  Pour out Your grace on each of us that we always will love You no matter what comes our way.  Help us carry our cross that You lovingly give us for only You know how to strengthen each of us for eternity.  Lord, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner, may I not fail You today and if I do may I accept Your forgiveness and move on.  Amen!

Daily Thoughts 10-28-2017 Ephesians 2:19-30

"So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone.." Ephesians‬ ‭2:19-20‬

Are you a disciple of Jesus Christ?  Jesus calls each of us to awake to Him each day to go into the world and do as He commands.  This is what Moses and Elijah did, Saint Peter and Saint Paul did as well.  We are all part of the same body of believers, spreading God's message of love.  The Saints went before us, each called by Christ, He calls each of us to pick up the Fathers torch and carry the light of Christ where ever we go.  So as my dad would say, it is time to get up and get the day going. Be blessed in knowing you are not alone in your efforts.  It is men and women like you that will change the world.  Be who God made you to be - A Saint.

Come Holy Spirit and breath life into our souls and spirits.  Remove the darkness of sin from our lives.  Open our eyes and ears to hear the voice of God calling us to join His household.  May the Holy Spirit guide each of us today as She did with Jesus and the Apostles.  May each of us burn for Christ that no water can quench other than Jesus himself.   I ask this in His Holy name, Jesus Christ, my Rock and salvation.

Daily Thoughts 10-27-2017 Luke 12:56

"You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; why do you not know how to interpret the present time?" ‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:56‬

The cold front feels good this morning and we knew of its arrival before it was here.  Why do we not see the evil that is around us in our daily life?  In the news, in the lack of respect for our neighbor, in everyday life?  God tells us why we do not see it, we are blinded by our sin.  "For I take delight in the law of God, in my inner self, but I see in my members another principle at war with the law of my mind, taking me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members" Romans‬ ‭7:22-23‬  Take time each day and build the inner self so God has the upper hand in your life, then you will be prepared and see what is approaching before it gets a hold of you.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for another day, for a day that started with being fed by You..  Help me see the things in my life that creates division from You, help me remove the sin that causes us both pain.  Watch over our family today, help us spend time on the inner self with You.   Bless those that are on retreat and give them peace of heart with You by their side.  Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-26-2017 Luke 12:50

"There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished!" Luke‬ ‭12:50‬

Jesus saw His future coming, He seen the outcome of His work approaching, His life would be called for to hang on a cross and He would be baptized in His own blood.  He did this for each of us and we were in His thoughts as He walked that walk.   Would we accept new life in Him, will we carry the cross for Him.  Will we proclaim His message and face the same persecution in our own lives, knowing what is right and just to enter into heaven and bring others with us.  To whom much is given much is expected.   We will not face the same anguish but we will face our own trials to prepare the way for the Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for dying on a cross so I may live forever.  My challenges in life are nothing like yours, help me see them as opportunities to know You deeper.  May I reflect upon your trials and take joy in mine that in some small way they can be used to glorify You.  Bless this day Lord and this coming weekend.  Watch over Your family and protect them.  Send Your Holy Spirit into our lives and deepen our relationship with You.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-25-2017 Romans 6:16

"Do you not know that if you present yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?" Romans‬ ‭6:16‬

What is right and what is wrong?  Can two people have different opinions and both be right?  Look at our culture today and truth is trying to be redefined.  The thought is truth is whatever you believe.   In the eyes of God this is not so, sin is sin, plain and simple.   We can try all we want but one action leads to death and another to righteousness.  If Jesus is your Master then you know what is right and what is wrong.  Whom do you owe your life too?  "We escaped with our lives like a bird from the fowler's snare; the snare was broken, and we escaped." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭124:7‬

Dear Father God, I thank You this morning for loving me, for releasing me from the fowler's snare.  May I be obedient to Your voice and Yours alone.   May I not fall victim to changing tides of time that works to ensnare us from reaching You.   May I imitate You in all my actions, may I love as you did even when it isn't comfortable.  Live in me today so I may live forever.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-24-2017 Luke 21:36

"Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength, to escape the tribulations that are imminent and, to stand before the Son of Man." Luke‬ ‭21:36‬

Strength is gained by exercising the muscles, likewise your spiritual strength is gained by praying and reflecting upon the word of God.  Will you escape the tribulations?  I believe you won't see them as trials but rather blessings to strengthen you if you are prepared.  God sees what is weak and prepares us to get ready to be in His presence.  Can you resist and be ready?  Will you call upon the Lord to give you the strength.  Will you be vigilant and pray?  "Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:17-18‬

Dear Lord, Help us remain calm and steadfast when tribulations come our way.  Give us the ability and desire to call upon You to strengthen us.  Help us overcome the battles that rage on so we may be ready to stand before the Son of Man.  I thank You for this day, for the things that will strengthen me, may I be ready and pass the test.  I pray for a friend who has a mental challenge may he focus his energies on Jesus.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-23-2017 Luke 12:20

"But God said to him, 'You fool, this night your life will be demanded of you; and the things you have prepared, to whom will they belong? "Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God." Luke‬ ‭12:20‬-21

God does not see rich man nor poor man, wise man nor fool, He sees His creation that was made perfect.   What do we do with the gifts that we have been given?   Do we use them to glorify God?   What is written on your heart is it Caesar or God?  "Then repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God."  Matthew 22:21 We are each given free will and time to choose, choose how you spend your time and energy wisely, it makes a difference.

Dear Heavenly Father, You are constant never changing nor faltering, help me be steadfast in my actions today never forgetting what really matters in this world.  I pray for all those lost neglecting their God given talents, open their eyes to the possibilities that You provide.  Keep us safe this week, watch over all and continue to write Your love on our hearts.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-22-2017 Isaiah 45:4b-5a

"I have called you by name, giving you a title, though you do not know me. I am the LORD, there is no other, there is no God besides me. It is I who arm you" Isaiah‬ ‭45:4b-5‬a

I struggle this morning to find the words, I question why so many do not put God first or even in their lives.  Only God can see the way forward, will all these souls be lost if He does not intervene and show us He is God and none can stand against Him.  Where is God at in your life?  Does He exist, is He arming You with His presence?

Lord God, I pray for the world today, the odds seem overwhelming yet knowing You conquer evil.  Arm us Lord with prayer, arm us with peace and comfort, arm us with Your Holy Word.  I look forward to receive You in faith this morning, to carry You in my heart this coming week.  I pray for those that seek that they find the lasting satisfaction that only You can give.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-21-2017 Romans 4:16

"For this reason, it depends on faith, so that it may be a gift, and the promise may be guaranteed to all his descendants, not to those who only adhere to the law but to those who follow the faith of Abraham, who is the father of all of us," Romans‬ ‭4:16‬

The faith of Abraham, he was given what appeared to be impossible tasks and events, (evidence of things not seen), his actions defied the impossible and his belief spoke of who God is, (the substance of things hoped for).  God's promises are real, His words are truth..  "Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.  John 6:53  Have you received the gift of faith to believe the substance of the bread and wine is transformed into the body and blood of Jesus?  Maybe you believe this to be a symbolic gesture, so something to thing about, if this is symbolic than Jesus would of have to symbolically been raised from the dead.  He physically raised from the dead, did Thomas not place his hands in His side.  Abraham, the father of faith, believed what appeared to be impossible, why not you?  For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink." John‬ ‭6:55

Lord God, there are times in my life my faith is weak, I am like Thomas where I need to see to believe.  Increase Your gift of faith in me, may I believe as Abraham did and take You at Your word.  Use me Lord in what ever way You need today, there are many who have fallen to the lies of the world, May they too come to believe in the Risen Lord and receive the gift of faith.  I ask this in Your Holy Name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-20-2017 Romans 4:7-8

""Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not record."" Romans‬ ‭4:7-8‬

Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespassed against us.   God does not want to record our sins but we too must not record others sins.  How many troubles we create when we hold onto the things others have done to us.  I recall a situation that I was hurt by someone, I carried this for a long time.  Our relationship was impacted until I stopped recording it.  God helped me forgive, you too can forgive no matter the wrong ask God for help.  Release the bondage you place yourself in.  Receive the blessings God willingly gives.

Dear Lord God, heal the hurts and pains we carry, show us how these are just the handy work of the devil.  May we each receive the spirit of forgiveness and see what You see, Your beautiful creation.  Bless us Lord with peace in our lives, in our families and in our marriages.  Breath joy back into troubled relationship.  I ask this in Your Sons name, Jesus Christ, He who bore all of our iniquities.

Daily Thoughts 10-19-2017 Romans 3:23-24

"all have sinned and are deprived of the glory of God. They are justified freely by his grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus," ‭Romans‬ ‭3:23-24‬

Our destiny is in our own hands, we can not save ourselves other than allowing Jesus Christ to die for us.  We are given free will to accept this free gift.  All of our good deeds amount to nothing in seeking salvation.  It is only through the blood of Jesus do we gain eternal life and then He will transform us if we will honor Him with our lives.  "yet I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me; insofar as I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who has loved me and given himself up for me." ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬

Dear Lord God, You are the Great I Am, I thank You for the grace and understanding Your Son Jesus gives us.  Help us attain every lasting glory in Your presence.  You know our strengths and weaknesses, overcome our weakness's and strengthen our strengths.  May I honor You as Your Son Jesus did by living my life for You.  May I remember it is not I but Christ Jesus who lives in me. Daily Thoughts 10-18-2017 2 Timothy 4:16-17b

"At my first defense no one appeared on my behalf, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them! But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that through me the proclamation might be completed and all the Gentiles might hear it."

We are never alone when we are walking by faith, God is always by our side because you give him the opportunity.  Do you recall the first words Jesus said when He first appeared to His disciples in the upper room?  "Peace be with you." Luke 24:36  They all deserted Him except Mary and John, yet He offered them His peace.  Do we do that when we feel like we have been deserted and left alone?  I recognize in me I want to get back but really what I need to do is ask Jesus to stand by my side and give me strength.  I say to you today, may the peace of Christ be with you.  Only thru peace do we proclaim the Gospel.

Dear Heavenly Father, we are overly sensitive in others responses or lack of, may I adopt the attitude that You have by offering peace.  Our lives speak to others may I always keep you at my side.  Help me overcome the battles today with peace.  Only through You can I do this so I ask this in Your Holy Name, Jesus Christ, amen.

"You fools! Did not the maker of the outside also make the inside? But as to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you." Luke‬ ‭11:40-41‬ ‭

We live in a culture that wants to be fed, they want the easy way, the path of least resistance.  This wasn't the path that Jesus chose, He gave of Himself so we may live.  He wasn't concerned with outer appearance it was the soul and heart that He pursued.  Give of yourself as He did, spend time in the trenches, there is a reason it is called the narrow road.

Dear Lord God, You teach us plainly with Your word and Your example.  May I continue to follow You, show us the rich tradition that You started and others followed in Your footsteps.   May I be on the narrow road that leads to You.  Be my hope and my salvation this day in actions and alms giving as the saints before us accomplished.  In Jesus name, Amen.

"Through him we have received the grace of apostleship, to bring about the obedience of faith, for the sake of his name, among all the Gentiles, among whom are you also, who are called to belong to Jesus Christ;" Romans‬ ‭1:5-6‬

Obedience of faith, to hear the will of God and act upon it, even when there are times you don't feel like it.  We are each called to live our lives of faith right where we are at, to share the gospel with those God has brought into our paths.  Do you live out your apostleship each day.  Do you act upon the grace God gives you?  The world needs living examples of Christian living even when things aren't quite right, remember He makes crooked lines straight.

Dear Lord God, You walk with us each day and help us with the challenges of life.  Help us be obedient to Your call and not become despondent.  May we be open to the grace that You provide and bless our apostleship as You have with every other saint who heeded Your call.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.

Daily Thoughts 10-15-2017 Matthew 22:11-12

"But when the king came in to meet the guests he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment. He said to him, 'My friend, how is it that you came in here without a wedding garment?' But he was reduced to silence." Matthew‬ ‭22:11-12‬

We each bare the responsibility to prepare ourselves for the wedding feast of our Lord.  The day will come unexpected and the choices we make either makes us ready or has us standing still in silence.   Do I gather as a community today or do I go about as if it is just another day, simple little choices that have dramatic consequences.   We work out our salvation one decision at a time, be prepared or be surprised, your choice.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the invitation to live forever, may I choose wisely each day You give me to live here.   Bless this day with Your Holy Spirit, open my ears to hear Your Holy Word at the table of Plenty, prepare me for eternity.   Jesus I trust in You, Jesus I trust in You, Jesus I Trust in You.

"While he was speaking, a woman from the crowd called out and said to him, "Blessed is the womb that carried you and the breasts at which you nursed." He replied, "Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it."" ‭Luke‬ ‭11:27-28‬

Jesus came into this world for the sinner, He came to transform us into what we were created to be.  How long will we ignore the voice of God and follow our evil ways.  Do we think that there isn't consequences to our actions.  Will our greed save us, what about lust or sloth.  The seven deadly sins are being played out in front of us each day.  Are you ready to hear the word of God and follow Him?

Dear Heavenly Father, have mercy on me a sinner, help me see the err of my ways and correct my actions.  Awake my soul to Your loving kindness and guard me from the evil that seeks to capture my soul.  Open my eyes so I may see and give me joy.  Amen

"But he knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste and house will fall against house." Luke‬ ‭11:17‬

As you prepare yourself to go into battle today, whom do you serve?  Our strength comes from the Lord, it is He who hails our battle cry.   You can not serve two masters and expect the outcome to be good.  Trust in the Lord and do not rely upon your own understanding for those that come against you set their own trap to fall into.  You belong to Christ, it is He who guards you night and day so fear not for the Lord is with you.

Dear Heavenly Father, it is when we are weak, You are strong.  Fortify these walls Lord and make me weak so you may overcome all the battles in my life.  Give me the strength and wisdom to allow You to act.  Thank You for Your companionship and Your love, May I honor it today in my actions.   Guard my lips so nothing un-pure comes across them. "I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves because of their friendship, he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of his persistence." Luke‬ ‭11:8‬

We awake another day to go and do the Fathers work.  Do you ask Him for help on your journey?   Do you look to Him for nourishment?  Maybe y'all are on the outs right now, you don't think He is listening, the door seems to be closed.  His word tells us to be persistent and continue to pursue Him for our needs.  Listening to God takes effort, it requires quiet time to reflect.  He always opens the door and gives us what we need.  Keep knocking and be patient.

Thank You Triune God for being there at all times.  Things always work out when I trust in You.  They may not be done in my way but the result is always perfect.  Watch over Your children this day, give them the bread that feeds the soul, nourish us with Your presence and give insight to those that are persistent in seeking You and Your will.  Amen.

How is your prayer life?  Do you spend time with God each day?  Do you thank Him for the good and the bad that comes your way.   What about having a certain place to pray and speak to God.  I know you are busy and don't have time but the one thing that needs to come first is prayer time.  This time will change your life, Jesus will teach you, all you have to do is ask Him.  Find the time or be like Jonah riding around in darkness.

We stir up the wrath of God by turning our back on Him, by not following His commandments.  How long do you think you can do this before God has to act?  He sends us messengers and we don't respond but then the King of Mercy is able to penetrate the vail of darkness.   When we repent and turn towards God, He saves us.  The evil this scripture speaks of is being cast into hell.  This is the absolute last thing God wants to do but He has no choice if we don't change our ways.  He waits to show His mercy, will you, the king of Nineveh put down your pride, repent and listen to God's messenger?

Dear Lord God, You know my thoughts and desires, I ask that in the name of Jesus you hear and answer me.  There are so many lost in the ways of the world, send your messengers to rescue them from hades.  Prepare them Lord to receive Your spirit and give them conviction of heart to reach the king.  Bless this day with hope and insight into Your holy will.  Fill each of us with the magnanimity of You that surrounds us.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Hope, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 10-9-2017 Luke 10:36-37

And he said, "The one who showed mercy toward him." Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do the same." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:37‬

How you live life makes a difference for your salvation.  Do you turn a blind eye to someone in need?   Do you pass judgement on the beggar at the corner seeking help?   We work out our salvation in our daily lives, showing compassion to those that the Lord brings our way.   The Mercy we give will be shown to us by our Lord on judgement day.

Dear Father God, when I am weak, You are strong, when I am tired, You are full of life.  Come live in me today so I may do as You do.  May I hear You when You are calling, May I see You when You are standing in front of me.  May I not miss an opportunity to work out my salvation in Your presence.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-8-2017 Isaiah 5:1-2

Let me now sing of my friend, my friend's song concerning his vineyard.  My friend had a vineyard
on a fertile hillside; he spaded it, cleared it of stones, and planted the choicest vines; within it he built a watchtower, and hewed out a wine press.  Then he looked for the crop of grapes, but what it yielded was wild grapes.  Isaiah 5:1-2

Have you considered why you are here at this time in history?  God gives us free will to do as we please which we were created to honor God.  The birds of the air honor God by  doing what they were created to do.  What do we do with the gifts we have been given.  Which voice do we follow?   The One that produces good fruit or the one that produces bad wine?  "Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure-pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return." ‭Luke‬ ‭6:38‬

Dear Holy Father, my cup overflows with desire to please You yet I am weak.  Fortify these walls so they do nothing but honor and praise You, all the days of my life.  Complete in me what I was created for, You are King of my heart.  Bless this day Lord, it is perfect, may I seek Your perfect will.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Peace, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 10-7-2017 Baruch 4:27-29

"Take courage, my children; call out to God! The one who brought this upon you will remember you. As your hearts have been disposed to stray from God, so turn now ten times the more to seek him; For the one who has brought disaster upon you will, in saving you, bring you eternal joy." ‭‭Baruch‬ ‭4:27-29‬

I can't imagine living a life without God though I did for awhile.  I got this was my thinking only to realize that I didn't.  The stuff that would come my way wasn't easy to deal with, it was like a fight.   Then I began seeking God in very simple ways and He was there!  Today the Holy Family guides me each day, as long as I give them my time.  This is all God asks of us to seek Him and turn from our ungodly ways.  There is nothing like having joy in your life!

Dear Lord God, I am blessed beyond measure and filled with joy at Your guidance.  I thank You for the purpose in my life, I thank You for Your Holy Spirit.  I pray for those that are lost in the fog, may Your Holy Family draw them close to you and may they come to realize how precious life is and how real You are.  To God be the glory for these lost souls as they return home.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-6-2017 Baruch 1:21-22

"For we did not listen to the voice of the LORD, our God, in all the words of the prophets he sent us, but each of us has followed the inclinations of our wicked hearts, served other gods, and done evil in the sight of the LORD, our God." Baruch‬ ‭1:21-22‬

None of us are innocent of these words, we all fall victim to our own devices.  If we would but listen to our souls and the will of God, how much different life would be.  If we would think before responding, if we would take our own pride and ego and live the will of God.  Thankfully we have confessions, we can go confess our evil ways and receive the healing graces from this sacrament.  "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful." James‬ ‭5:16‬.  When was the last time you received absolution for going against God?

Dear Lord God, we act without thinking turning mountains out of mole hills.  Remove these burdens from us so we may better shine the light of Christ through our eyes.  Help us see the chaos we create by being self serving and not listening to You or our own souls.  Lord, You saved us from ourselves if we would heed and follow You.  Protect us this day Lord and be ever in our thoughts and actions.   In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 10-5-2017 Nehemiah 8:10b

"Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."" ‭Nehemiah‬ ‭8:10‬b

God is Love ❤️!  What fills your heart?  Is it love or something else?  As we grow closer to God, situations around us impact us differently.  Maybe a situation in the past that wouldn't bother you now does.  You know the truth and it has set you free but not everyone knows the truth.  Be patient with everyone, give them time and just love them.  This is what Jesus did, He even carried all our burdens on the cross.  So replace those burdens with the strength of Christ..   Have a blessed day and pray for each other.  Let them  know you love them unconditionally.

Dear Heavenly Father, You conquer all situations with Love, sometimes it is a hug, sometimes it is truth, sometimes it is unexpected kindness.  I thank You for loving me even when I continue to sin.  Strengthen my resolve today to control my tongue.  Continue to spread your message of love even in the pain of situations.   Bless this day with joy, give us peace in all trials and allow us to turn to you in our moments of grieve so you can breath love back into us.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Jesus Christ.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 9-4-2017 Nehemiah 2:5

"I said to the king, "If it please the king, and if your servant has found favor before you, send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers' tombs, that I may rebuild it."" Nehemiah‬ ‭2:5‬

I contemplate the destruction this morning.  So many things being attacked and being made desolate before our eyes.  Why?  "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."  God sits and waits for our response, He so much wants His children to follow Him, to pray and share the Joy of Christ with the world.  There are no easy fixes only the healing arms of Jesus and time in prayer.  Will you go and rebuild what has been torn down?

Lord, the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few, will you call more to work in the vineyards.  Help me today to guard my words, to respond with thoughtfulness, to not react rashly and to accept what comes my way.  Heal those that are broken hearted, comfort the afflicted and heal the sick.  Use me in any way shape or form, I want to rebuild what has been torn down.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-3-2017 Zechariah 8:23

"Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'In those days ten men from all the nations will grasp the garment of a Jew, saying, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you."'" Zechariah‬ ‭8:23

I can't imagine living a life without faith, in troubled times where does one turn?  Faith is action, it is belief in God above that no matter what happens, He is the rock, He is the mighty fortress.  Does your faith in God speak to others?  Is God with You? YES.  The real question is are you with God?  We just witnessed an example of someone not with God, allow your faith in Jesus Christ to witness to those around you.  If more would do this the world would become heaven on earth.

Dear Heavenly Father, You are the corner stone where I turn to when life buffers me around.  You ask each of us to open our mouths and speak, speak of the truth we have found in You.  Give us the grace, courage and conviction to live holy lives.  To be that example that will lead others to You.  Thank You Lord God for having my back.  Bless those who are facing a test, may they not forget whom is sending them on a journey.  He will provide for all their needs.  Jesus, I trust in You.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us and the whole world.

Daily Thoughts 10-2-2017 Matthew 18:3

"and said, "Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew‬ ‭18:3‬

As we grow we become smarter and wiser but do we?   God tells us to be like a little child, full of awe and wonderment, open and willing to follow.   Full of faith and eager to help when asked.   Can you say that is you today or has the ways of the world hardened you, are you too busy to listen.   Jesus always listened to His Father and heeded His voice.   We too must listen and become child like if we wish to enter heaven.

O Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's Love commits me here.  To ever this day be at my side, to light, to guard, to rule, to guide.

Dear Lord God, I thank You for Your guidance this day and every day.   May I put my faith into action and be like a little child, always trusting You.   Prayers for those that have lost little ones, give them comfort in knowing they have an extra angel in Heaven.  Jesus, I trust in You, Amen.

Mary, Mother of the Child Jesus, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 10-1-2017 Matthew 21:32

"When John came to you in the way of righteousness, you did not believe him; but tax collectors and prostitutes did. Yet even when you saw that, you did not later change your minds and believe him." Matthew‬ ‭21:32‬

There are times in our life we think we have it all figured out and we do not respond to God, we most likely don't hear Him because of our self righteous attitude.   We must remain humble at all times and respond to the call of God.  This is faith in action, our response is our saving grace.   Faith without action is dead, the Pharisee's faith was dead even though they thought it was good.   Be willing to say yes and respond even when you are fearful, this is stepping out on faith.

Dear Heavenly Father, there are times my pride or will, gets in the way of You calling.  Help me remain humble and willing to respond to Your call, strengthen my faith in my response to You.  Give me insight into my self and help me see those times I am like the Son who says yes but does nothing.   Come Holy Spirit and over shadow us with Your gentle wisdom and power this day, enable us to respond as Your Son Jesus does.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us..
