Daily Thoughts 9-4-2017 Nehemiah 2:5

"I said to the king, "If it please the king, and if your servant has found favor before you, send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers' tombs, that I may rebuild it."" Nehemiah‬ ‭2:5‬

I contemplate the destruction this morning.  So many things being attacked and being made desolate before our eyes.  Why?  "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."  God sits and waits for our response, He so much wants His children to follow Him, to pray and share the Joy of Christ with the world.  There are no easy fixes only the healing arms of Jesus and time in prayer.  Will you go and rebuild what has been torn down?

Lord, the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few, will you call more to work in the vineyards.  Help me today to guard my words, to respond with thoughtfulness, to not react rashly and to accept what comes my way.  Heal those that are broken hearted, comfort the afflicted and heal the sick.  Use me in any way shape or form, I want to rebuild what has been torn down.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.
St Francis of Assisi, pray for us.
