www.dailythoughts.com 4-31-2018 Romans 6:10-11

"As to his death, he died to sin once and for all; as to his life, he lives for God. Consequently, you too must think of yourselves as [being] dead to sin and living for God in Christ Jesus." ‭Romans‬ ‭6:10-11‬

Holy Saturday, the day before Easter Sunday.  I spent the morning reading all the readings of the day and found life in them.   I would dread going to mass because this is the longest mass of the year.  It just seemed to go on for ever and ever because I had no understanding, no experiences to be able to relate, no depth of Spirit.  Our own lives follow their pattern, we go through an exodus from life in the world, to death to self into the newness of life with God.  The journeys we make are meant to glorify our Father in Heaven, listen to your heart and follow Jesus into Easter Sunday.  He died to sin for you, what do you need to leave behind this week to live for God in Christ Jesus and experience the joys of life in Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, I anticipate tomorrow, the preparations have been made, spiritual I am ready.  Thank You for the joy to walk with You this year, for the experiences.  May this coming year be filled even more with Your presence.  Help us see how You are training us by Your Holy Spirit to be light bearers.  Your Holy Family walked the walk, we too wish to walk the walk with You in the center of our Hearts.  May we see the joys in our daily lives and Your guiding hand.  Help us share our faith that helps other believe in the Risen Christ.  In the One who is to return, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-30-2018 John 19:13,24

"When Pilate heard these words he brought Jesus out and seated him on the judge's bench in the place called Stone Pavement, in Hebrew, Gabbatha.

So they said to one another, "Let's not tear it, but cast lots for it to see whose it will be," in order that the passage of scripture might be fulfilled [that says]: "They divided my garments among them, and for my vesture they cast lots." This is what the soldiers did."
‭‭John‬ ‭19:13, 24‬

Jesus is the judge, the Spotless Lamb and the Priest at His own trial.  Jesus knew He was innocent of all charges yet He willing accepted His fate.  He was Judge and he was sentenced to death.  He was the High Priest at the complete Passover meal.  If He passes judgement upon Himself knowing His innocence why do we try and convince Jesus we are not guilty?  "Pilate said to him, "What is truth?"  John‬ ‭18:38‬a.   He, Jesus knows the truth, He paid the price of our sins, accept His sacrifice and be blessed with new life.   He is truth, your truth.

Dear Lord, I thank You for the time together, I thank You for willingly accepting my sins, for being innocent yet paying the price to ransom me from death.  I thank You for this Lenten journey and for the views you allowed us to gleam.  I pray for those suffering and unwilling to see, may they realize the Love You have for them and may they be open to receive Your gift of eternal life.  Thank You Father for Your faithful servants who wear Your vestures today, bless them for their service.  Come Holy Ghost and fill us with Your ever lasting Love.   I ask this in The name above every other name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-29-2018 Revelation 1:5-6

"and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead and ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, who has made us into a kingdom, priests for his God and Father, to him be glory and power forever [and ever]. Amen." Revelation‬ ‭1:5-6‬

We are freed from our sins by the blood of Jesus, He paid the ultimate price for them.  He carried them to where they belong, the pit of death.  Does that mean that we get a free pass into Heaven once we have accepted Jesus?  I don't believe so for how would you be made into a kingdom and a priest if your life didn't change.  In believing that you punch your ticket and it is automatic would mean that Jesus died in vain.  As you end your Lenten journey think about the passion of Christ, how has He changed you that glorifies His Father then go and preach the good news with lives of dedicated love.

Dear Heavenly Father, Your Son didn't die in vain for me, I pray I strive each day to please You.   I thank You for the gift of salvation but I do not take it lightly.  May You who lives in me preach to others the saving glory of Jesus.  I will sit with Jesus today and contemplate His earthly journey, I will reflect upon His life and I await His glorious return.  I pray I am found working in the vineyard, preparing the ground.  Thankful for all You are doing in our lives.  To You be the glory for ever and ever amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us, point us to Jesus.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-28-2018 Matthew 26:17

"On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples approached Jesus and said, "Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?" Matthew‬ ‭26:17‬

The events of your life prepare you to eat your Passover meal.  That time of your life when you are ready to give it all to Jesus.  I think back over the last several days and think of my walk, am I going to Jesus and helping Him prepare?   Am I doing what I need to be doing to sit at table with my Lord.  Jesus died for my sins, am I willing to give them all to Him and die with Him?  Am I willing to leave them all behind and seek new life in Him.  I answer yes each morning, listen to the word of God but I fall during the day.  We each make decisions, am I conscious of my mistakes and am I willing to give them to Him so we can dine together and live forever.  He walks with you, will You walk with Him.  It is a conscious decision every step of the way.

Dear Lord God, send me, I will go.  You are the Chosen one and I choose you.  In my weakness make me strong, make me sensitive to my sins and aware of how my actions harm You.  May I be Simeon for someone today, Calm the fears of the unknown, help me live in the now.  Give strength to those that seek You and fill them with peace.  Bless this day, keep me safe in my travels and protect Your family You have given to me.  In Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-27-2018 John 13:38

"Jesus answered, "Will you lay down your life for me? Amen, amen, I say to you, the cock will not crow before you deny me three times." John‬ ‭13:38‬

Peter denied Jesus, Judas betrayed Him, what is the difference?  Peter had good intentions, Judas's intentions were not good.  How many of us have good intentions only to fall short for various reasons, like Peter?  As we enter into the passion of Christ this week, never forget God knows your heart, He knows your short comings and He knows your future.  He too gazes into Your eyes and ask You to trust Him even in your failures, to accept His will for your life and like Peter, live with Him for ever.  We all make the same decision as Peter or Judas.  Will you allow Christ to grow in you?

Dear Lord God, I pray for the lost souls who deny You, those who have yet to meet you.  I pray for myself that in my failures I continue to get up and seek Your loving gaze encouraging me to continue on in this journey.  I thank You for the wisdom of reliving Your passion each year and allowing us to contemplate our own lives in You.  Prayers for strength in my own short comings and thankful for another opportunity to serve You.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.

Mary, Mother of the Innocent, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-26-2018 John 12:9-11

"[The] large crowd of the Jews found out that he was there and came, not only because of Jesus, but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. And the chief priests plotted to kill Lazarus too, because many of the Jews were turning away and believing in Jesus because of him." John‬ ‭12:9-11‬

Don't we want to see proof of the healing power of God.  Are you a living example of Lazarus, being raised from the death of this world into new life.   We begin Holy Week, are you walking with Jesus, do you see what He sees?  Look about you, the times are not much different.  When ones way of life gets challenged, things begin to change rapidly.  Be that living example, a constant in the sea of change, proof that God can raise the dead to life.  Bring others to Christ, that is our call in this world.  And do it by just living in Him.

Dear Heavenly Father, we live in a world seeking answers and proof.  May they find You as the answer and those raised to new life as proof.  Watch over Your children Lord and protect them from the plots of the evil one.  Help me this week live the way of the cross in a new light.  Open my senses to experience a deeper understanding of Your passion to save us.  Bless this day Lord and lead the way, I will follow with Your help.  Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-25-2018 Mark 15:33-34

"At noon darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. And at three o'clock Jesus cried out in a loud voice, " Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani? " which is translated, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Mark‬ ‭15:33-34‬

Doesn't it always seem like in your darkest hour God isn't there.  In fact this is when He is closest to you, for in His hour of Mercy He has prepared you for your resurrection into new life.  All those trials and falls, pains and bruises got you to the point where you call out to God for help.   He never forsakes us, it is us who forsakes Him until we realize we have no where else to turn.  "In my distress I called out: LORD! I cried out to my God. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry to him reached his ears." ‭Psalms‬ ‭18:7‬. Now the potter can go to work and mold new life in You.  Prepare yourself for your resurrection, out with the old you, in with the risen you.  Listen and follow, it is that easy, 15-30 minutes each morning breathes new life into you.

Dear Heavenly Father, in our hour of need you are always there standing at the ready to shepherd Your lamb, Your son or daughter who has been prepared.  Thank You Jesus for showing me this walk and giving me insight into new life with You.  Prayers for those in their hour of need, show them mercy God and keep us on the path of salvation.  You are the King of my heart and I want to live in You forever.  In Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-24-2018 John 11:55-56

"Now the Passover of the Jews was near, and many went up from the country to Jerusalem before Passover to purify themselves. They looked for Jesus and said to one another as they were in the temple area, "What do you think? That he will not come to the feast?" John‬ ‭11:55-56‬

What was God's purpose for Jesus to be crucified in the middle of the Passover celebrations ?  Do we celebrate the Passover feast today?  I am sure those that are Jewish do but what about the rest of us?   God never does anything by chance, why was Jesus crucified that week?   ""Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill." Matthew‬ ‭5:17‬.  So Jesus doesn't want us to stop celebrating the Passover meal, He came to fulfill it.  The perfect spotless lamb for our sacrificial offering.  How do we do that today?  Question.  Is it a feast if Jesus isn't there?

Dear Heavenly Father prepare me for the feast to be with Jesus.  Help me see what I can not see.  Help me perceive what You see.  May I live in peace the whole day thru reflecting upon Your word.  Renew Your creation and make me new every time I receive You into Your temple.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.  Prayers for those who feel alone, bless them Lord with Your chosen one.  Prayers for those preparing for the first sacrificial offering and coming into communion with You.  Help each of us see the beautiful choices You have given us.   I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.  Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-23-2018 Psalms 18:7

"In my distress I called out: LORD! I cried out to my God. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry to him reached his ears." Psalms‬ ‭18:7‬

"Thy will be done."  Where does your strength come from?  This coming week we begin Holy Week, Jesus rides in on a donkey in peace, to be crucified on a cross by the end of it.  Jesus lives the life He wants us to live, He walked the way of the cross His entire life, like we are suppose too.  The challenges and victories we face each day, we are to turn to God before responding and to give thanks for His help after.   He is there to help us along the way of life.  Is it always fair? NO. Is the outcome always in our favor? NO.  I need to remember that a man died for my sins so that I may live forever.   In the remembrance of Jesus's passion, when He was beaten to a pulp, when He was spat on, when He carried His cross, When He was nailed to it, He always looked to Heaven for His strength.  In your distress do you look to heaven, accept the trials and seek God's help or do you fight back with your will and not His?

Dear Lord, I look to You this morning for Your will.  I thank You for this day with what ever comes my way.  Help me not create any of my own challenges.  May I seek Your counsel to avoid the pitfalls of the devil.  May I walk like Your Son Jesus, may I respond like Your Son Jesus, May I get up when I fall down and may I never forget to do Your will.  You are my strength, I cry to You and thank You for placing Your love in my heart.  Prayers for a man who recently lost his wife, may he embrace Your love and find peace in the joys You have given Him.  There is joy in suffering when done for Your will and the salvation of souls.  To God be the glory now and forever, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-22-2018 John 8:58

"Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I AM." John‬ ‭8:58

Jesus stands His ground, He knows that the Jews would not like to hear the truth but that doesn't deter Him from speaking it.  You ever been in a situation where you spoke the truth and it wasn't received well?  Do you change the truth to make them feel better?  If you do then it isn't truth.  Do you sugar coat it so they don't get upset?  Jesus didn't.  We live in a culture that does this regularly and people no longer know what is truth and what is fake.  The Bible is truth and applies to our lives everyday.  Never be afraid to speak the truth, people are hungry for it, because they are tired of the "fake news".  Be a truth teller and live forever.

Dear Father God, You amaze me, over and over again.  I thank You for the truth and for the strength to stand on Your ground.  Jesus is and I believe.  May our words be truth to others, may they receive them and yearn for the truth.  Fill the descendants of Abraham with truth and give us a voice, Jesus is the Messiah and I believe.  Bless this day Lord, watch over Your loved ones, (He loves all of us), be our everything.  Thank You for the friends that pass through this world, may they be at the table of plenty with You.  In Your most Holy name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-21-2018 John 8:41-42

"You are doing the works of your father!" [So] they said to him, "We are not illegitimate. We have one Father, God." Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and am here; I did not come on my own, but he sent me." John‬ ‭8:41-42‬

I am reminded this morning of my sinful ways, each day presents a different set of challenges.  I can be no different than those who are claiming to be a rightful Aire and are illegitimate.  I am thankful that I am not a slave to sin, even though I fell under the weight of the cross.  I thought I could carry it by myself, but I get up with God's help and go again.  As a Catholic we have the stations of the cross each Friday during lent.  It isn't a recreation of Jesus's suffering to punish Him again, it is a reminder that we too walk the way of the cross each day, some days are good and some days aren't.  In our sufferings there is joy in knowing Christ freed us from sin, I get another day to go again.   The depth of knowledge we learn when we take the blinders off is a good thing and it is from God, for God is Love.  Are you condemning Christ as the Pharisees did?

Dear Lord God teach me Your ways and affirm my adoption into Your Kingdom.  Remove the blinders that I allow and You take the reigns.  Jesus, I trust in You.

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin.  Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-20-2018 John 8:24

"That is why I told you that you will die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins." ‭John‬ ‭8:24‬

Part of believing is trusting, another part of believing is changing.  We are not to die in our sins, we are to die to sin.  Trusting in God, believing in God and changing for God is all a choice we each make.  Reflecting upon our own path and seeing God working in and through us, perfecting His creation.  "for whom the Lord loves, he disciplines; he scourges every son he acknowledges." Hebrews‬ ‭12:6‬.  "More than that, I even consider everything as a loss because of the supreme good of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have accepted the loss of all things and I consider them so much rubbish, that I may gain Christ" ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:8‬.  I believe, help my unbelief.

Dear Heavenly Father, I was lost but now am found, was blind but now can see.  All because You sent Your Son to rescue me from the fires of hell.  I will work this day as if it is my last for tomorrow is not promised.  Guide my steps and be ever in my mind and heart.  Prayers for Sylvia who is fighting lung cancer and brain cancer, may she feel the love of Christ's touch and be healed.   Battle armor is on, lead on Lord, I will follow.  Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-19-2018 Luke 2:48

"When his parents saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, "Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety." Luke‬ ‭2:48‬

We have never had a child that has gone missing for any length of time but a certain fear and panic sets in when they aren't found at first.  Mary and Joesph spent three days trying to find Jesus, their anxiety was great.  God chose them to be the ones who would raise His Son, through out history, they will be remembered for being perfect examples for us.  There is no doubt they are with the Triune God in Heaven.  I wonder if they are anxious when one of us gets lost?  If God chose them to be parents to His Son, do they play a role in our salvation?

Yeah I know it is all about Jesus, the rest of the family doesn't matter, why would you pray to them anyway.  What could they do anyway.  "and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:18‬.  They are like all good parents, they want to see you safe and home with Dad.  Mary and Joesph, point the way home to Jesus.

Dear Triune God, I am not sure if my message makes any sense this morning but I trust in You and Your Holy will.  Thank You for giving us Godly examples of parents who looked after Your Son.  Thank You for our Immaculate Mother who is there to help.  Thank You for Saint Joesph to be the perfect example of a father and a husband.  May we all follow their example of living so we may have eternal life.  Bless this day Lord, be my everything.  I pray for those who struggle with their spouse, help them see the good in them and give them love in their hearts for Your gift of them.   In the name of Jesus, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-18-2018 John 12:31

"Now is the time of judgment on this world; now the ruler of this world will be driven out."
‭‭John‬ ‭12:31‬

When was the last time you did a little house cleaning on yourself?  We are all ruled by someone, who rules you?  How you answer this question will be very telling to you.  Do you know how Jesus answered the question?  "because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me." John‬ ‭6:38‬.  We are all being sent into the world to do someone's will.  What things in your life are His and which are not?  Ask Jesus to drive those that are not His out of you, this is the will of His Father, that we are purified.  We are not to continue in sin claiming the blood of the Lamb because this is contrary to God's word.  We are to cleanse ourselves and live the scripture: Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

Dear Father God, I thank You for the wisdom of Mother Church.  I thank You for taking up residency in the temple of my soul.  I thank You for continually cleaning house and purifying Your Holy place.  Praises and thanksgiving for answered prayer.  Thankful for the wonderful noises of life that surrounds me right now.  I ask for the wisdom and understanding to be a better disciple and follower of You.  I ask these things in Your Holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-17-2018 John 7:40-41

"Some of the people therefore, when they heard these words, were saying, "This certainly is the Prophet." Others were saying, "This is the Christ." Still others were saying, "Surely the Christ is not going to come from Galilee, is He?" ‭‭John‬ ‭7:40-41‬

How would you answer the question: Who do you say that I am?  God is the one asking the question.  Jesus lives within each of us, are we not all sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father.  Does He not give us breath.   Who is Jesus to you?  How do you acknowledge Him in your world?  We are getting closer to Holy Week and the walk that He made we all make.  Where are you on your journey?   Do you know Jesus?  Do you want to know Jesus?  Do you have time for Him each day?  Are you Jesus?  Are you one in the crowd saying crucify Him?  Are you Pilate? Peter or one of the twelve apostles?  I guess what I am trying to say is our actions speak louder than words.  So the question still stands, who do you say I am?  A thought provoking question if we consider our actions.

Dear Faithful Father, You send Your servants into the vineyard, give them strength and understanding, courage and desire to serve You as Your Son Jesus did.  I thank You Lord for happy memories even while suffering, You are my strength for there is none other that I want.  Thank You for making me sensitive to my sins and pointing the way to the cross.  Bless this day and bless my family that is in Heaven, I think of them often.  Prayers for a friend gaining wisdom, enlighten him with Your grace of understanding. www.dailythoughts.com 3-16-2018 Wisdom 2:21-22

"These were their thoughts, but they erred; for their wickedness blinded them, And they did not know the hidden counsels of God; neither did they count on a recompense for holiness nor discern the innocent souls' reward." Wisdom‬ ‭2:21-22‬

Does God hold anything back from us?  I think back and realize that I was blinded by my wickedness, God was not central to my actions, He was a passing thought.  It wasn't until I placed myself away from the distractions did I begin to see and hear His counsel.  I imagine you are receiving and seeing His hidden counsel.  Today it is not hidden, I just have to sit still and prepare to receive it.  The Bible is full of examples of people who were graced with God's counsel because they listened and placed God in the center.  Look at Saint Joesph, thru the trials of life, he was filled with joy because God took the lead.   Sit at the Masters feet and refresh your soul, all you have to do is be still and listen.  Wow, there is no feeling like it. WOW!

Dear Lord God, I can't express in words what I am feeling.  Peace, understanding, awe are just some of Your gifts.  I thank You for Your leadership.  I ask for the grace to be able to receive more and give more but am satisfied with a little or a lot.  Bless our morning prayer group, grow it's numbers and bring peace to those who come.  Bless this day Lord and the work of our hands and minds.  Help us remove ourselves from the situations and be in Your presence so we can respond and not be blind.  I ask this through Your Son, Jesus, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-15-2018 John 5:39-40

"You search the scriptures, because you think you have eternal life through them; even they testify on my behalf. But you do not want to come to me to have life." ‭John‬ ‭5:39-40‬

Can you imagine Jesus's anguish and concern for all, whom He is trying to point the way to His Father, and we are rejecting the message as well as the messenger.   "Jesus said to him, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John‬ ‭14:6‬  The way Jesus lived, how He treated others and His life, points to Our Father, if He is the answer why do we not seek Him out more?   Why do we not do what He did more?  This is 2018 but we are no different than in the time of Jesus, we too are a stiff necked people.  Jesus is life, scripture points to Him, do you point to Him, maybe if more of us would point to Him more would believe.   ‭"[Jesus] said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you." John‬ ‭20:21‬.   He sends you into the world to live it.

Dear Father God, You love us that much that You give us Jesus.  May we accept His message and His messengers.  May we change our ways and be open to Your Holy Spirit.  Bring peace back where there is anger.  Bring hope back where there is despair.  I pray for a family that is finding their way back to You, wrap Your arms around them and guide their journey with love.  Thank You Jesus for knocking and thank You God for giving me the courage to open the door.  I ask this through the only way to live, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b

www.dailythoughts.com 3-14-2018 John 5:24

"Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes in the one who sent me has eternal life and will not come to condemnation, but has passed from death to life." John‬ ‭5:24‬

You ever try too hard and nothing seems to happen, that is me this morning trying to write.  It should come naturally for that is the will of God.  Same with our lives, when we struggle with ourselves we are struggling with our belief.  We hear the word, how are we applying it.  Jesus makes it really simple but we make it hard.  We can have life eternal here and now if we do what Jesus did, trust in God Our Father and do His will, it is a simple plan as long as we get out of the way.

Dear Heavenly Father, I love You yet I fall short.  You gaze upon Your creation with blessed assurance that we will figure it out for greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  I believe Lord, help my unbelief this day.  Encourage us with Your grace to do Your will.  Bless this day Lord and may I always keep You close to me.  Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-13-2018 John 5:6-7

"When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been ill for a long time, he said to him, "Do you want to be well?" The sick man answered him, "Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; while I am on my way, someone else gets down there before me." ‭‭John‬ ‭5:6-7

Isn't this an obvious question Jesus asked?  If the man didn't want to be well, he wouldn't of been there.  Why did Jesus ask Him?
The man didn't answer Him directly in the affirmative, he made an excuse why he wasn't well yet.  As I place myself within this scene, what is God asking of me?  We place ourselves in the right place at the right time but when the opportunity comes along we make an excuse why we can't go forward.  Jesus was looking for a simple yes.   The situations in our lives are not to be a road block to the saving power of God.  He sees the illness, He wants to know if you are ready to move forward or do you want to make an excuse why you can't.  It's a good thing God gives us what we need and when we need it.

Dear Heavenly Father, Yes is my answer.  Nothing is in my way, I am not in my way, life is not in my way.  I answer Yes to you, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-12-2018 John 4:48

"Jesus said to him, "Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will not believe."

Do any of us live this way today?  In order to feel good you seek out signs and wonders.  If you don't see them you turn from your godly ways and revert back until you see the signs and wonders and feel good again.  What is God trying to teach us then:  "for we walk by faith, not by sight." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7‬.  God seeks to strengthen us so that we always live in the house of God, our joy is His joy, our pain is His pain.  We are  called to live one day at a time, to build upon the previous one and to always seek God with all our heart, all our mind and all our soul.  It has nothing to do with how you feel or what you see, He is there always, right next to you, even carrying you.  Pray when you don't feel like it, do when you don't feel like it, be always in His presence because He is always in yours whether you know it or not.

Dear Holy Spirit, You are always by my side, You have never left me since I was welcomed into our family.  Tell Dad, I love Him, give Mom a hug for me.  Lead me this day to do Your will, may I always be present to You.  Prayers for a friend who has one foot in hell and the other in Heaven, bring Him home, back into the fold.  Safe travels for another friend returning home, may they be blessed.  Thank You for Your guidance and for being real to me and in me.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-11-2018 John 3:14-15

"And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life."" ‭‭John‬ ‭3:14-15‬

I spent a little time this week gazing upon our Lord within His temple, I just had to take a picture.  The crucifix was life like, Jesus appeared animated to me and then I read the Gospel today.   Why is it the Catholic Church has a crucifix in each of them and many others don't?  In the book of John, verses 3:14-15, it speaks of the healing power of God.  Moses had a staff that healed those whom were bit by the serpent. As a Catholic, I can see and gaze upon Jesus and be healed.  From the cross, Jesus sees His body being scourged and beaten, He sees the pain of the crosses being carried and He also sees the triumph of the cross for those that believe and accept His victory.   When was the last time you gazed upon our Lord carrying your burdens.  "Cast your care upon the LORD, who will give you support. He will never allow the righteous to stumble."  Psalms‬ ‭55:23‬

Dear Jesus, I thank You for another day to see what You see.  I thank You for Your strength when I am weak and need help.   I thank You for Your healing touch and Your pleasing voice.  Lord, look upon Your servants and help us see the need in our communities.  Give us the courage to speak and do as You have done.  I pray for that young man we met, may He come to gaze upon You, may He be healed as he looks upon You, our Savior.  In Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-10-2018 Hosea 6:3

"Let us know, let us strive to know the LORD; as certain as the dawn is his coming. He will come to us like the rain, like spring rain that waters the earth." ‭Hosea‬ ‭6:3‬

Every day the dawn enters the day and brings light into the darkness.  As we go out into the day, we hear the beautiful sound of spring refreshing everything.  Birds chirping, bees working, cool breezes, spring making all things new.  God seeks us out each morning, will we sit in His presence and be refreshed and made new.   Strive each day to know God, listen to what He is telling you and know He is coming just like the Sun tomorrow morning.  Be watered by God and grow in His love each day.

Dear Heavenly Father, it is beautiful outside Lord, the sounds of the day are soothing and refreshing.  Speak to me through Your creation, make me new with Your love when I enter into Your presence.  Refresh my spirit each day and get me ready to spread the Good News.  Thank You Father for loving a sinner like me.  Bless families Lord to teach each other and give them a burning desire to know You and to love you.  Peace upon those families dealing with the loss of a loved one, comfort them through the body of Christ.  I ask these things through Your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-9-2018 Hosea 14:4

"Assyria will not save us, nor will we mount horses; We will never again say, 'Our god,' to the work of our hands; for in you the orphan finds compassion."" Hosea‬ ‭14:4‬

What a wonderful gift, to be able to turn to God at anytime and return to Him.  There are so many distractions in the world and God quietly says, "Here I am."  What keeps you from turning to Him and giving God complete control?  Is it pride?  Is it ego?  Is it shame?  Is it worthiness?  Is it fear?  God understands all these things and still says, "Here I am."  When we let go and let God wonderful things begin to happen, we recognize his voice and we respond.  It is no longer us that is in control, our God is not someone we control, He gives us direction and we choose each day to follow.  Each day builds on the previous one.  Never forget His compassion because He sent His only Son to die on the cross for you.  "But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in mercy and truth." Psalms‬ ‭86:15‬

Dear Heavenly Father, I am thankful for being home and in Your loving embrace.  Thank You for Your wisdom and guidance each day.  I hear Your voice and willingly respond to Your call.  You are my one and only God and I trust in You.  Help us recognize Your love for us and Your thirst for us.  May we share Your passion with others and live lives of dedicated love, pointing the way back to You.  Prayers for those who are in the last stages of this part of their journey, may they be in peace in all things.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.  Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-8-2018 Luke 11:21-22

"When a strong man fully armed guards his palace, his possessions are safe. But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him, he takes away the armor on which he relied and distributes the spoils." ‭Luke‬ ‭11:21-22‬

Are you always fully armed or are there times you let your guard down?  You are probably thinking I always have my guard up.  The enemy prowls around testing the defenses and seizes those opportunities to rob you of your joy when you are least prepared.  Have you ever dropped Jesus off at the shore so you can go have a little fun?  You can't fool God and you also can't fool the devil. Your strength is God even when you are living life.  Listen to your words, are you claiming victory or are you opening up the fortress to allow the enemy in.  We make choices each day that either strengthen us or weaken us, be always on your guard for you never know when you will be attacked.

Dear Father, each day is a series of choices and they build upon the previous one.  Thank You for locking the bolt on the door, thank You for the ability to listen and observe.  Watch over us today, for we are constantly are being attacked and You are my strength.  Thank You for the confirmation of direction, continue to feed Your body as we live each day.  Shore up our defenses and never let us justify wrong actions or decisions.  You know what Your soldier needs and He trusts in You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-7-2018 Deuteronomy 4:1

"Now therefore, Israel, hear the statutes and ordinances I am teaching you to observe, that you may live, and may enter in and take possession of the land which the LORD, the God of your ancestors, is giving you." Deuteronomy‬ ‭4:1‬

I met a young man yesterday who was lost, he was standing on the street and was shaking either from the cold of the morning or with drawls from drugs.  Moses seen the same thing, a people following their will for pleasure.  There are two lands we all eventually end up in, the promised land or the land of the lost.  There wasn't much I could do for that young man other than say a prayer with him and give him a couple of dollars for a cup of coffee.  God has given each of us the wisdom to chose who to follow.  He sends His Saints to guide us when we are in trouble.  Be a Saint to someone today and please pray for that young man, he is someone's son.

Dear Heavenly Father, I look forward to the day.  I am blessed beyond measure for I have You in my heart.  Send Your Saints into the day to lead and to guide those who are lost or in need.  May we look beyond our own need and help those who are in real trouble.  May I praise You today and not use words, may I glorify You in actions.  I pray for the family of that young man, may they have peace in knowing You are his protector, drawing him back home, one day at a time.  "Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they?" ‭Matthew‬ ‭6:26‬.  Thank You Father for caring for me, when I was lost and not yet found.  In Jesus name, Amen.

www.DailyThoughts.com 3-6-2018 Daniel 3:40

"So let our sacrifice be in your presence today and find favor before you; for those who trust in you cannot be put to shame." ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3:40‬

There is peace and joy waking up to God, I enjoy the quiet of the morning and preparing for the day.  It is just the four of us and we speak to each other, no words are said but understanding is gained.  As I go into my day, this day is my prayer back to God.  Did I listen and apply what was taught.  Live in His presence all day long, He is with you anyway, why not recognize Him as you do what you do and give it back to Him.  The learning, teaching and trusting doesn't stop when I walk out the door, I just have to realize He is there and we are together, as long as I am present.

Dear Heavenly Father, You know the craziness of the world, You see what is coming.  Help me be present to You all this day.   May my efforts bless you and not curse you.   Help me live in the moment and see You teaching, see You guiding and see You protecting Your creation.  Thank You God for Your love, I ask that You are greater in me today and I am an obedient servant.  I pray for Your will be done in this Election Day, may the sacredness of life be protected, and may leaders be elected who are Your chosen elect.   I ask this in Your Holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 3-5-2018 Luke 4:27

"Again, there were many lepers in Israel during the time of Elisha the prophet; yet not one of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian." Luke‬ ‭4:27‬

You have heard the saying, "you can't see the forest for the trees."  Are you witnessing the body of Christ in action.  Do you see the Word of God coming to life before your eyes or are you like the lepers in Israel, blinded to the saving power of God.  Many are blinded because we don't share, we don't speak, we don't give Him away.  I see a world hungry for the truth, seeking happiness.  We, the body of Christ, are called to praise God, to give Him away and help the little children return to their Father.  Don't take my word for it, take His word for it.  "Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant and praise is becoming."
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭147:1‬

Dear Heavenly Father, You give meaning to scripture, it is the Living Word.  Thank You God for Your words.   Thank You for being real in me.  Thank You for removing my blindness and giving me vision so I can be part of Your body, that lives and walks in this world.  Lord, You know how to overcome our frailties, speak to us and give us the conviction and spirit of Your Son Jesus.  Thank You for the miracles that we get to see if we will just pay attention.  I ask this in the name above every other name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 3-4-2018 Exodus 20:2,6

""I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments." Exodus‬ ‭20:2, 6‬

There is a peace that surpasses all understanding when not living in slavery.  That person who was a slave died with Christ on the cross.  The Risen Lord lives within and He pours His loving kindness into you.  At times that slave tries to resurrect himself but greater is He that is in me than he that is in Egypt.  Turn from your old ways and live in peace.  Give the sins of slavery to Christ so He can get in the boat.  It is smooth sailing when you love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, body and soul.  Follow His commandments and be blessed by the Father.  Live in peace!  Can I get an amen.

Dear Father, Thank You for giving me strength to live in peace.  Amen!

Mary, Mother of Jesus, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 3-3-2018 Psalms 103:3-4

"Who pardons all your sins, and heals all your ills, Who redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with mercy and compassion," Psalms‬ ‭103:3-4

I enjoy people watching, you witness all kinds of things and in a way you enter their life for a brief moment.  Watching a friend make his faith walk home to His Father, can be torture.  You see the struggle with self to face the realities of life's choices.  Do they continue to die of thirst or do they go to the well spring of life.  We all know someone like that, that struggles to return home.  Who knows what holds them back but it is a spiritual battle.  What we can't see is heaven and hell fighting for the prize, their soul.   Heaven offers peace on earth and hell offers torment.  I made that walk, I have stood on both sides, Peace in the Fathers arms is so much better.  Come back home, it is no fun to watch!

Dear Father, You stand with open arms to embrace Your prodigal son, ease his walk home.  Give him or her the grace to see the treasure that awaits them.  You are loving God who knows all of our sins and You yearn for their return.  Grant peace and patience to those watching and living with them in that walk.   Thank You God for all Your blessings, I know this isn't heaven but there is great peace in living with You on earth.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 3-2-2018 Matthew 21:43

"Therefore, I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that will produce its fruit." Matthew‬ ‭21:43‬

Yesterday was a different day, it started with a series of challenges, a little peace in the middle and ended with some more challenges. There is no evidence of fruit but ground was plowed and seeds were planted. Life will throw us curve balls, just like it did Jesus but he stayed the course. He seen the beauty that surrounded Him and He also seen the need. Our lives have a purpose and we are each called for a specific purpose, even in our challenges, God is always there by our side. "'I tell you, to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away." Luke‬ ‭19:26‬. Not seeing the fruit you think you should, we don't grow the fruit, we are to plow the ground and plant the seeds and help harvest, our God grows the fruit. Live your life with The Purpose and never stop.

Dear Lord, I thank You for Your love, I thank You for enduring pain and crucifixion so I can live for ever. Bless us Lord with peace, courage to move into the vineyard, strength to push the plow. Wipe our foreheads when we get tired, give us water when we are thirsty. Encourage us when we are down and help us see You always by our side. Special prayers for a family grieving the loss of a son, may they be surrounded with love during this difficult time. Peace to a friend who is plowing a field, he is stronger then he realizes. Thank You Father for another hot day, let's go to work with purpose. Amen.

Mary, Queen of Victory, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 3-1-2018 Jeremiah 17:7-8

"Blessed are those who trust in the LORD; the LORD will be their trust. They are like a tree planted beside the waters that stretches out its roots to the stream: It does not fear heat when it comes, its leaves stay green; In the year of drought it shows no distress, but still produces fruit." Jeremiah‬ ‭17:7-8‬

"And lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores," ‭Luke‬ ‭16:20‬

As I wrestle with the thought this morning, Lazarus comes to mind.  He trusted the Lord even though his position in life was extremely poor.  He recognized that what ever he received was from God and he was thankful.  Life didn't appear to be fair to Lazarus yet the fruit of his life was eternity.  What about the rich man that stepped over Lazarus, he appeared to be blessed but his trust was in the riches and not God.  The fruit of his life was damnation.  He was really the poor one and Lazarus was really the rich one.  Each of our journeys in life are different, when we place our trust in God, we recognize our blessings, we share with others in what ever way we can and we give the love that we have received.  No matter your status, you are richly blessed if God is at the center of your life.

Dear Heavenly Father, help me see the blessings in my life, help me give what ever You ask me to give.  I want what Lazarus has and I am willing to do what Lazarus did.  Lord, I want to see through Your eyes, what am I missing in life that are riches, what am I doing that are curses.   Thank You Lord for the drops of water, that enriches us.  Thank You for Your grace and Your blessings, You are the keeper of my soul, and this is a blessing beyond no other.  Let it rain Lord, bring Your hope and peace to all who are poor and in need of Your holy water.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.
