Mark 9:49 2-28-2019 dailythoughts.com

"Everyone will be salted with fire." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:49‬

Peace be with you!  As we grow in our spiritual walk, and we are in communion with Christ, we are being preserved in the fire.  Salt is used to preserve things, to keep food items from going bad.  Salt also doesn't burn, it withstands the fire.  Christ on the inside does the same thing.  Each day is a new journey, a new beginning because Christ is refining us in the fire.  Don't go looking for trials, learn to stay calm and stay quiet when the fire is at your doorstep.  No need to venture in but knowing that Jesus is on the inside is also knowing the fire can not burn you when you are being salted by it.  Peace be with you today, enjoy the heat it only makes you stronger when Jesus is with you.

Dear Heavenly Father, there are many who walk in the fire without You and their lives are being tested.  Help them see the joy when You are by their side.  We will all face our trials, May we see them as an opportunity for spiritual growth, to seek a stronger relationship with You.  May we walk in peace today Lord as we do as You ask of us.  Prayers for those traveling today, may we see each other again.   In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Ben Sira 4:11-12 2-27-2019 dailythoughts.com

"Wisdom teaches her children and admonishes all who can understand her. Those who love her love life; those who seek her out win the LORD's favor." ‭‭Ben Sira‬ ‭4:11-12‬

Each day we turn to the Lord and seek to grasp a little more understanding, to grow in our love for God.  It is in listening and asking for help and guidance do we learn.  Wisdom will point out what in your life is not of God for both can not reside in the same place.  It is having that child like faith, the curiosity to understand that we are being transformed.  If we are children of God here and wisdom is our teacher, then we are being transformed into Saints.  Wisdom is your guide, give her time in your heart and win the Lord's favor.

Dear Triune God, You are always out in front even as I awake.  You have prepared this day for each of us.  You are molding us into Your priestly Saints.  Be my guide today, filled with Your Holy Spirit.  Cast out from within what is not of God.  "There is no one who performs a mighty deed in my name who can at the same time speak ill of me." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:39‬b.  Prayers for those who struggle with the body of Christ, may they be admonished by Wisdom.  I will sing Your praises today and be at peace.  Amen.

Sirach 2:1-2 2-26-2019 dailythoughts.com

"My child, when you come to serve the Lord, prepare yourself for trials. Be sincere of heart and steadfast, and do not be impetuous in time of adversity." ‭‭Ben Sira‬ ‭2:1-2‬

The word this morning is prepare, are you preparing yourself for trials?  Doesn't seem like it is something you would want to do but don't we prepare for a lot of other things.  "Gird your loins and light your lamps and be like servants who await their master's return from a wedding, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:35-36‬.  Trusting in God, being patient as you face these trials is preparing us for His return.  Turning to Him in our times of need, asking for help and then waiting.  We become steadfast in our spirit and over time with lite lamps, He over comes all of our trials.  Serving God will bring trials to you but they are holy trials that strengthen you for a brighter tomorrow.  Give thanks in all situations that God has found you worthy.

Dear Lord God, You are worthy of all my love, all my hopes and all my dreams.  Thank You for our time this morning, I enjoy listening to You in our space.  Thank You for the memories made this past weekend.  Prayers for new beginnings for a friend, may they see the hand of God in their lives.  Heal our wounds Lord as You prepare us for eternity.  Blessings upon all who read this today, may they find comfort in knowing they are cherished by You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mark 9:15 2-25-2019 dailythoughts.com

"Immediately on seeing him, the whole crowd was utterly amazed. They ran up to him and greeted him."
‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:15‬

Jesus had just come down from the mountain where He was transfigured.  What did the crowd see in Him that they were utterly amazed?  I know He is God but I can only imagine there was a glow to Him.  In our own lives when we have gone away to be with God, a quiet respite, there is a difference in us when we return.  There is also a difference in our spirit when we receive Jesus in the Eucharist.  I may not always have the time to go up on the mountain but I can always go and greet Jesus when I receive Him in the Eucharist.

Dear Lord, I thank You for receiving me in the Eucharist, I thank You for the quiet moment of being with You and for the peace that it brings.  Dear Father, help us see the importance of finding time to be refreshed by You, to steal away for that much needed refreshment in a world that runs amuck.  Safe travels for family going back home, may they recognize the importance of faith.  Bless this day Lord and keep us safe in Your arms.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Hebrews 11:7 2-23-2019 dailythoughts.com

"By faith Noah, warned about what was not yet seen, with reverence built an ark for the salvation of his household. Through this he condemned the world and inherited the righteousness that comes through faith." Hebrews‬ ‭11:7‬

Is God Real?  I think about the message that the culture hears and how God's existence is denied.  Faith is knowing that He is real and each day you are presenting evidence of His existence.  We live at a time much like Noah's, eat, drink and be merry.  I worry about the next generation because of our lack of faith.  Faith isn't instant, just like Noah's Ark it is built over time.  How is your faith impacting future generations?  Be a witness to the saving power of God.  He is real, hears all of our prayers and seeks to reside in your heart, let Him in and believe.  Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b.

Dear Father, I am sorry for the pain that You experience for our lack of faith.  May we become faithful witnesses to Your existence, may we be the evidence that others need to see so they recognize a loving God.  Prayers for all that have been harmed by the actions of others, increase their faith Lord, help them see the need to build an ark for their family.  Bless this day Father, show me what's next in the ark that we are building.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Savior.  Amen.

Mary, the Ark of the Covenant, pray for us.

Psalms 23:1-3a

"The LORD is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack. In green pastures he makes me lie down; to still waters he leads me; he restores my soul. He guides me along right paths for the sake of his name." Psalms‬ ‭23:1-3‬a

Are you imbedded in the rock of Jesus?  Our journey takes us many places and difficulty challenges but with Christ at the helm all is still.  He refreshes your soul when sitting in quiet contemplation, He reveals the mystery's of life and speaks to you.  Peter had this rock solid relationship with God that grew over time, even though he stumbled God was still his shepherd.  Walking in Christ, with Christ and through Christ brings about peace in your life.  It begins with the still of the morning.

Dear Father, Blessed be Your name, You are the living God that reveals truth to us.  Thank You for how this day began, not as usual but very welcomed.  Thank You Father for sharing Your joy with us and to those that are soon to know You in a more intimate way.  You are leading us to still waters that brings freshness to our step and peace in our hearts.  Prayers for those on retreat this weekend and prayers for family getting married this weekend.  Bless this day Father and engage me throughout the day.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Genesis 9:5 2-21-2019 dailythoufhts.com

"Indeed for your own lifeblood I will demand an accounting: from every animal I will demand it, and from a human being, each one for the blood of another, I will demand an accounting for human life." ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭9:5‬

God is establishing His covenants with His creation, I wonder do we give God much thought?  We will give an accounting of our lifeblood, what did we do with the gift of life given?  Did we use it for His glory or ours?  Slowing down and thinking about the Word, helps us realize what our response is back to Him.  Are you helping others evaluate their ways?  There is a joy in seeing the light come on as they ponder their actions.

"From a human being, each one for the blood of another, I will demand an accounting for human life." Is God speaking about His Son who will pay the price for our transgressions?  He is the only one in my way of thinking that fulfills this verse.  Jesus is spoken of as God establishes His covenant with us.

Dear Lord God, there is peace in truth and revelation when we consider our own journey.  Fan the flames of Love as we realize the depth of Your love for each of us.  Help us realize how real You are when we give You time.  Prayers for those facing the end of life, may they come to peace with their creator ready to step into everlasting life.  Bless this day Father, bring hope and joy into my actions and bring comfort to those dealing with cancer.  You are God and healing is Your desire.  Praise be the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mark 8:26 2-20-2019 dailythoughts.com

"Then he sent him home and said, "Do not even go into the village." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭8:26‬

Jesus had just healed this man from blindness and tells him not to return to the village, why?  When we encounter Jesus does He wants us to return to our old way of life or does He want us to start anew?  The man's home offered peace and comfort, what was in the village God did not want Him to view?  It is an interesting question and one we can only ponder.  In our own lives, God wants us venture out and not return to our old ways, He gives us direction and seeks our obedience even if it means we will leave others behind.  In time they will see a new person that Christ has touched.

Dear Lord God, we are walking examples of Your saving power, may You shine through in our lives.  May those that know the old me see the new creation you are teaching.  May we not be corrupted by the ways of the world, may we spend time with You In familiar ground and learn from You.  Prayers for this day Lord, watch over us and keep us free from all danger.   In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Psalms 29:1-2 2-19-2019 dailythoughts.com

"A psalm of David. Give to the LORD, you sons of God, give to the LORD glory and might; Give to the LORD the glory due his name. Bow down before the LORD's holy splendor!" ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭29:1-2‬

Do you love God?  Can you close your eyes and speak to Him from your heart.  I listen to others who have been pained by the church, by family, by others and they love God even though it may not show.  You have been given the bread of life to share in the joy and the sorrows around you.  Listen to your heart and do as He asks.  The joy that comes to be in union with God is amazing and most of the time it is walking in faith, trusting in the peace and giving what He gives you, the bread of life.  The war is real and is in our lives each day, sitting still and praising God gives you strength to fight the battle.

Dear Lord God, the body of Christ is in a battle and You walk forward giving us Your favor when we turn to You.  Thank You Father for the peace of seeing these events as giving life to our souls.  To giving us a proper relationship with You.  Prayers for those in the desert learning to recognize Your voice.  Prayers for their children, may they not loose their faith and become lost in the world.  Prayers for peace in our events today, give us strength and a warriors heart to glorify You.  Praise be the heart of Jesus, may He reside in me today, Amen.

Genesis 4:3-7

"In the course of time Cain brought an offering to the LORD from the fruit of the ground, while Abel, for his part, brought the fatty portion of the firstlings of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry and dejected. Then the LORD said to Cain: Why are you angry? Why are you dejected? If you act rightly, you will be accepted; but if not, sin lies in wait at the door: its urge is for you, yet you can rule over it." Genesis‬ ‭4:3-7‬

Do we give our best to God?  God knows the difference when we are giving our first fruits.  In right relationship with God we are always in step with Him.  His favor are graces given to help us become better and we recognize them with our best. In selfish relationship we keep what is best for us, we have a tendency to misinterpret God's favor believing He is punishing us when in fact He is trying to help.  We give sin control, through this pain of sin God wants us to see true happiness.  Only in giving God our best will we experience true happiness.

Dear Father God, sin has control over so many people, even in my own life I must guard against it.  Help me overcome my selfish tendencies and give You my best.  The joy that You offer far outweighs the fleeting pleasures of sin.  Help me in my daily relationship with You, show me the areas of my life that I need to improve upon.  May You increase and I decrease when I am getting out of step.  Bless those Father that are experiencing pain in their lives, may they see the joy that You offer and know their reward is in Heaven.

Psalms 1:1-2 2-17-2019 dailythoughts.com

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in company with scoffers. Rather, the law of the LORD is his joy; and on his law he meditates day and night." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:1-2‬

To sit at the the feet of the Master each day brings about revelations, brings about truth, brings strength into your life.  He communicates in ways that speaks to the soul, giving you His strength.  Listening to God, knowing that He is there, knowing He is allowing things to happen in your life to benefit You is reassuring.  The world is wicked, the message is hate and self.  God pours out love all the time.  Listen to Him in the still of the morning.

Dear Lord God, You are my strength, You help us become stronger each day.  I see You at work in Your creation, bless us Father with wisdom, with compassion, with healthy love for self, for others and for The Word.  You teach what  is true and good when serving You.  Bring about the change You desire in each of us, raise up a mighty fortress that will glorify You Father.  Prayers for all men and women who have learned where their true strength resides.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Genesis 3:21 2-16-2019 dailythoughts.com

"The LORD God made for the man and his wife garments of skin, with which he clothed them." ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:21‬

Even in our transgressions God takes care for us.  He shows His love for His creation by sacrificing an animal to clothe Adam and Eve, and also brings about the sacrificial offering for our sins to atone for them.  Why do we fret the stuff if we are in relationship with God, He will take care of you.  You will feel pain but you will be cared for.  Learn to live in peace with your eyes focused on God.  There is joy that surpasses all understanding when we learn to trust.  God is right there taken care of you.

Dear Triune God, You love us beyond measure always giving us what we truly need.  Thank You for helping us live in peace as we journey today.  Bring the sense of peace into all my situations and allow my heart to rest in You.  Prayers for friends traveling to be with family, may they experience the Love of Christ in their travels.  Bless this day Father, Thank You for slowly waken me this morning with You in my heart.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Genesis 3:8 2-15-2019 dailythoughts.com

"When they heard the sound of the LORD God walking about in the garden at the breezy time of the day, the man and his wife hid themselves from the LORD God among the trees of the garden." ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:8‬

Does avoiding God make our sins go away?  No matter how hard we try to cover them up, He is still fully aware of them.  In His covenant with us He is fully committed to us even when we go and hide.  Relationship is a two way street, God knows our transgressions.  He wants us to be open to Him and use our free will to come to Him.  Forgiveness is a beautiful gift, are you still trying to cover up.  "How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered!" Psalms‬ ‭32:1‬.  He comes to you knowing what you are afraid to tell, do not let Jesus die in vain to you, bring Him into your life and learn to have a conversation with His Father.  Jesus died for your sins.

Dear Lord God, awaken within us the desire for a pure heart, open our spirit to turn to you and speak what you already know.  Heal the pain that lays hidden within so we may walk in peace with You.  You are a gracious God who loves us beyond measure even in our transgressions.  Pray for those who have yet to realize the root cause of their pain, may they dig deep and bring it to God.  Prayer for a friend who is hanging on to bitterness may they peaceful touch of Jesus in their lives.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Genesis 2:23 2-14-2019 dailythoughts.com

"the man said: "This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called 'woman,' for out of man this one has been taken.  That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of them become one body."  Genesis‬ ‭2:23‬-24

How did Adam know where 'woman' came from, he was sound asleep when God formed her?  This shows how our relationship will be like when in Heaven, sin had not entered into man yet, man and God we're one.  God's thoughts were Adams thoughts, look at the next verse, the purity of his thoughts speaks truth.  It is sin that creates the interference in our lives and our communication with God.  More the reason to avoid it and be in tune with God as best as we can.  Think, what areas is God revealing to You, His thoughts are pure.

Dear Father, I am blessed beyond measure to have the 'woman' You gave me.  She is a joy to travel through time with.  I thank You for forming the perfect wife for me.  May we see the wisdom of God in each other and continue growing deeper in love through the challenges of life.  Prayers for those not seeing eye to eye, may they see the gift that You have given them.  Help us avoid the near occasion of sin and the sin of omission.  Bless this day Father and may we be in union with our thoughts.  Amen.

Genesis 2:7,15 2-13-2019 dailythoughts.com

"then the LORD God formed the man out of the dust of the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:7‬
The LORD God then took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden, to cultivate and care for it." ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:15‬

An interesting question God gave me this morning: "Why are you here?  Do you know what purpose I gave you life?"  Can you answer that question this morning?  The thought that came to mind was: To know Him, To Love Him and to serve Him.  We aren't here at this time and place by chance, it is by Divine providence.  So as you ponder the Bible verse listen to what God is asking of you.  Live today with Christ on the inside, not to keep Him covered up, but to let Him shine.

Dear Father God, I thank You for the inspiration this morning, we all have purpose in life and each of us has a mission that we are called too.  My prayer is that we hear You speaking and answer the call with, "Here I am, send me."  Bless this day, bless the Godly men that You put in front of me this morning, May we each share our time and talents that bring You glory.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mark 7:6-7 2-13-2019 dailythoughts.com

"He responded, "Well did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites, as it is written: 'This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me; In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines human precepts.'" Mark‬ ‭7:6-7‬

God sees the heart, do I worship in vain?  I can honestly say, in the past I have.  I was merely going thru the motions believing that just the act of attending church service I was gaining entry into Heaven.  My heart was not there with me, it was thinking about the upcoming weeks activities or the tasks that had been accomplished.  When I left Church, Jesus didn't come with me at least in my thoughts and actions.  Jesus went to the temple to worship His Father, when He left the temple, He went about doing His Father's work.  Do we honor with our lips on Sunday's and not His heart during the week?  Mass really begins when we walk out of Church, are we following the heart of Jesus and doing the work of Our Father in Heaven each day we are given?

Dear Lord God, Examine my heart and insure my motives are worthy of You, purify my heart so I may worship You as Jesus does.  Prevent the thoughts that lead me astray from You and make my will Your holy will.  Keep me from being so Heavenly bound that I am no earthly good for You.  As I walk today, use me and engage me in the tasks that only pleases You so when we meet face to face, there is joy on Your face.  Engage all of me that pleases You today.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mark 6:55-56 2-11-2019 dailythoughts.com

"They scurried about the surrounding country and began to bring in the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. Whatever villages or towns or countryside he entered, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak; and as many as touched it were healed." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭6:55-56‬

Have you experienced the healing touch of Jesus?  Where was it at, do you bring others to this same place.  God creates the environment, as the people in the Bible, we just need to scurry around and bring the sick to Him.  I think back to my encounter with Jesus, didn't really know I needed healed but God did.  As believers all we have to do is plant the seed, God will do the rest.  Where have you heard Jesus is, talk about it, let others encounter the Risen Lord.  He walks amongst us, healing those that reach out.

Dear Lord God, I think about Your healing touch and the joy it has brought into my life.  I think about the fire of love You offer all of us.  As we encounter others, may this fire reach them where they are at.  May our words be the seeds for them to encounter You.  Allow us to see where you are there also is peace within our spirit.  Bless this day and may I bring others to where I encounter You.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer, Amen.

Hebrews 13:20-21 2-9-2019 dailythoughts.com

"May the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep by the blood of the eternal covenant, Jesus our Lord, furnish you with all that is good, that you may do his will. May he carry out in you what is pleasing to him through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever [and ever]. Amen." Hebrews‬ ‭13:20-21‬

These last few reflections have been about inner peace, this is where God has had my thoughts at.  To sit still, just be and give God control of Your life is a very restful way to live.  You don't worry about much, though there can be much to worry about, you let Him deal with that.  He gives you what to do, you trust in your sense of direction because you are trusting it is from Him.  God raised Jesus from the dead so we can rest in Him.  Trying to figure it all out can be overwhelming but leaving it to Him, sitting still each day and listening brings about peace.  He speaks through others, He affirms our sense of direction and we live in peace.  I live today, not worrying about tomorrow.  Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b.  It is not I but Christ within that leads the way.  Find that peace in just being and sitting still.

Dear Father God, it has been an unbelievable week, the joy is rewarding, the challenges have been not, the worries have been little, the anxiety hasn't been, You are the God of Peace.  Thank You for wrapping Your arms around me and allowing Your son to walk in peace.  The outer life is still fast and furious but the inner life is a quiet stream, a gentle breeze.  You know I wonder why and You also know I am not concerned.  Thank You for the wonderful people that You surround us with may they see the Risen Lord in our manners, our actions, our responses, our words, Amen.

Psalms 27:3 2-8-2019 dailythoughts.com

"Though an army encamp against me, my heart does not fear; Though war be waged against me, even then do I trust." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:3‬

How did Jesus handle His battles?  He leaned on His Father, He would go and consult with I Am.  How do we handle our spiritual battles?  Do we operate in peace or do we respond unlike Jesus?  Our strength comes from above, being in His presence doesn't just have to be on Sundays.  If we focus on the One who made us and just be at peace, we will realize that He has got this.  There is a blessed assurance that everything will be ok.  In your battles, do not fear, trust in God, close your eyes and just be.  You have the Great Commander on your side, He will prepare you, He will give you what you need, He will send reinforcements if called for.  Live in peace, even in the middle of the battle, clear heads make right judgements.

God there is inner peace and strength when we sit still and listen to You.  There is a joy in knowing that You are in charge.  You fortify our walls and make us strong.  You KNOW tomorrow, may I listen to You, may I lean on You, may I realize You are my strength and walk victorious in the battle.  May I always be at peace, help me sit still and listen, give me the strength to focus on You and not the battle.  Prayers for all the warriors in battle, help them realize the battle has already been won for You are God.  Bless this day and may we live in peace, Amen.

Mark 6:8 2-7-2018 dailythoughts.com

"He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick—no food, no sack, no money in their belts." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭6:8‬

There is a difference between our want and our need.  If we stop and think about it we have everything we need.  I think this is what Jesus is saying in this verse- We do not need to be burdened down by anything other than relying upon God for all.  He gives us all that we need, our wants is what gets us in trouble.  This journey called life is drawing us closer to Him, as we walk, we realize what is truly important.  He provides for us, stop worrying about all that stuff.  Trust in Him, do your part and relax.  It is an amazing journey when we walk with God.  I may not get it right every day but when I lay down my head, I know I did the best that I could and today I get up again, to continue on what He has in store for me.  God has got all I need, I just have to trust and rely upon Him.

Dear Father God, I love You, You always provide for my needs even if I didn't prepare for the task.  I place my trust in You, I ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I am enjoying the walk.  Prayers for those who are dependent upon something else, may they be filled and consumed by knowing You.  You are the great healer and will come when asked too.  Bless this day Lord, You are always with me, Thank You for Your strength, may I always remain strong and if I don't, may I always trust in You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Hebrews 12:11-13 2-6-2019 dailythoughts.com

"At the time, all discipline seems a cause not for joy but for pain, yet later it brings the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who are trained by it. So strengthen your drooping hands and your weak knees. Make straight paths for your feet, that what is lame may not be dislocated but healed." ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:11-13

There are consequences to our actions, just because I am an adult doesn't mean I don't get disciplined.  As a kid I was disciplined when needed, sometimes it would sting other times it would weigh heavy on my head.  Did you ever hear "wait til your father gets home."  I heard that a lot but I deserved it because I was stepping out of line.  Our Father in Heaven sees all and He will discipline us, just like my parents did, always with love.  Maybe you are not enjoying the journey right now, what is God trying to teach?  Is it faith, is it trust, is it a change of direction, is it to seek Him?  I look back on my discipline as a kid, the fruit is righteousness.  I don't recall any of the pain, just the lessons I was taught.  I thank God for those lessons and that I obeyed.

Dear Father God, Thank You for the love that you give and that I received while growing up.  Thank You God for always finding a way to purify me and help be become better in my Christian walk.  May we see our trials as lessons of love and focus our energy on You and our faith.  May we become more dependent on You and trust in You for the outcome.  May we accept whatever Your will is and know the plan is what You will it.  May I learn to live one day at a time just like Jesus does.  Thank You Father for the discipline, I deserve all I get until I have learned my lesson.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Hebrews 12:3-4 2-5-2019 dailythoughts.com

"Consider how he endured such opposition from sinners, in order that you may not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood." ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:3-4‬

All creation is groaning, how do we maintain our peace while in the midst of the labor pains?  We tell God what we want the outcome to be and that isn't His plan or He isn't moving as fast as we would like.  Have you considered in your plea for another, God is also healing you?  Are you trusting in God for ever thing?  Are you walking in peace even while the storm brews?  Consider how He endured such opposition.  His eyes were fixed on His Heavenly Father, trusting in Him for the outcome, enduring ALL the sin, even shedding blood.  He never lost faith, He never lost hope because He knew the Father.  God is Love, He wants what you want but He wants you to walk in peace all the time not just when things are good.

Dear Father God, You are all good, I thank You for the example of others who walk in peace, trusting in You while dealing with the challenges of life.  You are a faithful Father that fulfills all Your promises.  Help us walk in faith, Help us walk in peace when we don't get what we want.  Help us realize that You are working on us as we maybe part of the storm.  Your Son Jesus was always at peace even when being condemned on a cross, give us the grace of this strength in our trials so others may see the saving power of Jesus especially those that are closest to us.  Thank You Father for loving me a sinner, purify me and make me whole.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 31:24 2-4-2019 dailythoughts.com

"Love the LORD, all you his faithful ones!  The LORD keeps those who are constant, but more than requites those who act proudly."  Psalms 31:24

There is something to be said about being constant.  When things are going good you are good, when things are going bad, you are still good.  Life will always have its up and downs but those who love the Lord, whose strength is God will always be in a good place.  The proud who place their strength on their possessions and position are destined to fall.  Life always changes, God never changes, place your trust in Him.

Dear Lord God, there is strength in loving You, even when things are not always right we are still good.  Continue to point out those areas that are need of fortifying, give me the strength to correct them, be my strength when I am weak.  You are ever at my side and I worship You.  Bless this day Lord God, prayers for a friend dealing with life, may He be at peace in the middle of the storm.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Luke 4:29-30 2-3-2019 dailythoughts.com

"They rose up, drove him out of the town, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their town had been built, to hurl him down headlong. But he passed through the midst of them and went away." Luke‬ ‭4:29-30‬

Can we handle the truth?  Jesus, in His hometown where he grew up, spoke truth with those that knew Him.  It angered them and they were ignoring God in their midst, not fully understanding all He was saying.  Jesus knew their actions and also knew who they worshipped more than God.  The devil in the previous verses wanted to hurl Jesus down from the top of the synagogue, now His people wanted to do the same.  Do we examine our own actions when we hear the truth, when we are angered do we slow down and understand what is making us angry.  The devil prowls around and without us realizing it, he gets us to do his bidding.  Allow Christ within to respond with love so that He can shine through.  "and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John‬ ‭8:32‬

Dear Father God, Your ways are true and pure, may I listen to You and examine myself when I am feeling angry.  You are the Great Prophet amongst us, always leading and guiding us.  Speak truth to my spirit so I may heed and follow Your voice.  I love You Lord God, You are my Shepherd and I am following.  Bless this day Lord, Prayers for those that allow anger to guide them, may they hear Jesus speaking words of love to recognize His voice.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Hebrews 2:18 2-2-2019 dailythoughts.com

"Because he himself was tested through what he suffered, he is able to help those who are being tested." ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:18‬

Ever find yourself asking "why me?" Learn to thank God in all things, all trials, all blessings.  "For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen." ‭‭Romans‬ ‭11:36‬.  Jesus endured way more than we will ever comprehend for our benefit.  He understands your journey and if we commit our ways to God, trust Him, He will act.   The strength to endure comes from above, it is from Him.  Maybe you are in the midst of a trial, look at it this way, you are being refined.  God has a greater purpose for you, look for the blessings in it, offer it up for the glory of God.  Life isn't always fair but is always rewarding if we turn to our Father in Heaven and thank Him.  Look what Happened to Jesus, He died on a cross only to be resurrected to live forever.

Dear Lord Jesus, You understand our journeys, You suffer along with us, You rejoice along with us.  Increase within me that I may have Your strength, I trust in You.  Thank You for the fond memories this morning, Words will never describe how I feel about You, only actions.  Prayers for those being purified, may they see the hand of God acting on their behalf.  Bless this day and be ever at my side, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Christ, pray for us.

Psalms 37:5 2-1-2019 dailythoughts.com

"Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will act" Psalms‬ ‭37:5‬

The path forward is never easy when you are trying to decide upon a direction.  We want certainty in our lives, we want to know the outcome, we fear the unknown.  God knows the future, if you and God sit still and contemplate the path forward, He will direct you.  There is a reason it is called faith, He tells us to trust Him.  When we trust Him, we are not going blindly forward for He knows tomorrow.  So whatever you are contemplating, commit your ways to God, trust Him and He will act.  It really is that simple.  "Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen."
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬

Dear Father God, Our journey with You is a faith journey.  The decision we are faced with are at times not easy but You are always with us if we are walking together.  I thank You for the faith and the sense to move in a direction.  I thank You for trusting in You even though at times I am nervous, we still move.  Prayers for those learning to accept the freeness of letting go and allowing You to act.  Watch over us this day and allow us to see the miracles of everyday life.  In You I trust and place my life in Your hands.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
