Luke 4:29-30 2-3-2019 dailythoughts.com

"They rose up, drove him out of the town, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their town had been built, to hurl him down headlong. But he passed through the midst of them and went away." Luke‬ ‭4:29-30‬

Can we handle the truth?  Jesus, in His hometown where he grew up, spoke truth with those that knew Him.  It angered them and they were ignoring God in their midst, not fully understanding all He was saying.  Jesus knew their actions and also knew who they worshipped more than God.  The devil in the previous verses wanted to hurl Jesus down from the top of the synagogue, now His people wanted to do the same.  Do we examine our own actions when we hear the truth, when we are angered do we slow down and understand what is making us angry.  The devil prowls around and without us realizing it, he gets us to do his bidding.  Allow Christ within to respond with love so that He can shine through.  "and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John‬ ‭8:32‬

Dear Father God, Your ways are true and pure, may I listen to You and examine myself when I am feeling angry.  You are the Great Prophet amongst us, always leading and guiding us.  Speak truth to my spirit so I may heed and follow Your voice.  I love You Lord God, You are my Shepherd and I am following.  Bless this day Lord, Prayers for those that allow anger to guide them, may they hear Jesus speaking words of love to recognize His voice.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
