Mark 6:8 2-7-2018 dailythoughts.com

"He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick—no food, no sack, no money in their belts." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭6:8‬

There is a difference between our want and our need.  If we stop and think about it we have everything we need.  I think this is what Jesus is saying in this verse- We do not need to be burdened down by anything other than relying upon God for all.  He gives us all that we need, our wants is what gets us in trouble.  This journey called life is drawing us closer to Him, as we walk, we realize what is truly important.  He provides for us, stop worrying about all that stuff.  Trust in Him, do your part and relax.  It is an amazing journey when we walk with God.  I may not get it right every day but when I lay down my head, I know I did the best that I could and today I get up again, to continue on what He has in store for me.  God has got all I need, I just have to trust and rely upon Him.

Dear Father God, I love You, You always provide for my needs even if I didn't prepare for the task.  I place my trust in You, I ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I am enjoying the walk.  Prayers for those who are dependent upon something else, may they be filled and consumed by knowing You.  You are the great healer and will come when asked too.  Bless this day Lord, You are always with me, Thank You for Your strength, may I always remain strong and if I don't, may I always trust in You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
