John 17:17-19 6-5-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world. And I consecrate myself for them, so that they also may be consecrated in truth." John‬ ‭17:17-19‬

Is there a difference between mass or church.  This was my thought as I awoke this morning.  Did Jesus go to mass or go to church?  Abraham took his only son Isaac to mass, his son was going to be the offering on the third day.  Abraham was obedient to God and in his worship of God.  God provided the offering when Abraham proved he was consecrated to God.  Consecrate: "to devote irrevocably to the worship of God by a solemn ceremony" Webster Dictionary.   Jesus consecrated Himself on the altar, He gave  His flesh and blood for our sins, He gave all.  God's Word tells us to be consecrated in truth.  Only you can answer the question of mass or church, there is a difference.

What is God saying to me: Be patience, I have provided the Ram.

Dear Father, I am being obedient to You, my spirit stirs this morning.  Help us hear the beat of your drum and not that of the world.  May our ears perceive the distant sounds of truth.  Engage our minds in the worship of You, open Your word to the depths of its meaning.  Thank You Father to Your faithful servants who are responding to Your call, who are being obedient to the beat of your drum.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Tower of Ivory, pray for us.

Day 6 of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

Peace be with you!

It can be so difficult to follow Jesus every single day in every little way.

Keeping His commandments does not always come naturally for most of us. God calls us to be heroic in our virtue and selfless with others.

This is not easy.

In fact, it is impossible on our own! But, with God all things are possible!

God is quick to forgive us when we fail. And He wants to help us, with the power of the Holy Spirit, to be more faithful.

Today, let's pray for faithfulness.

Here are the prayers for today:
Your prayer intentions

Faithfulness

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let us bow down in humility at the power and grandeur of the Holy Spirit. Let us worship the Holy Trinity and give glory today to the Paraclete, our Advocate.

Oh Holy Spirit, by Your power, Christ was raised from the dead to save us all. By Your grace, miracles are performed in Jesus' name. By Your love, we are protected from evil. And so, we ask with humility and a beggar's heart for Your gift of Faithfulness within us.

You, oh Lord, are ever faithful. You are faithful until the end. Though we are weak and distracted, please give us the grace to be faithful to You as you are to us!

Amen.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, through Christ Our Lord,

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.
