Psalms 144 - Training

"Of David. Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for battle, my fingers for war;

May there be no breach in the walls, no exile, no outcry in our streets. Blessed the people so fortunate; blessed the people whose God is the LORD."  Psalms‬ ‭144:1, 14-15‬

Psalms 144 - Training.  The battlefield is the mind, the soul is the prize, the training happens in the quiet of your heart as you listen to God.  Jesus never fought fire with Fire, He fought it with the love of God, He fought it with the Word and this was His sword.  When we follow God into battle, we will surely win, when we run ahead of God, we will be defeated.  The Son of Man faced the greatest battle and never lifted a finger, remember this in your own battles.  Do as Jesus did and let God fight the battle.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Lord, it is a jungle out there and in here You have prepared hearts to defeat the evil that seeks the prize.  Be our peace in time of turmoil, be our strength in time of need, may we entrust ourselves to You and wait patiently upon Your word.  "For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example that you should follow in his footsteps."  ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:21‬   Bless this day Father, go before us as You speak to the heart.  Amen.
