MORNING FACE TO FACE WITH GOD:
Begin with Prayer to the Holy Spirit
REPETITION OF DAYS FOUR, FIVE AND SIX:
Ask for an intimate knowledge of our Lord, who has become man for me, that I may love Him more and follow Him more closely (#104)

In a repetition St. Ignatius says that "we should pay attention to and dwell upon those points in which we have experienced greater consolation or desolation or greater spiritual appreciation." (# 62) If you wish, you can do a triple colloquy: refer to #63 of the Third Exercise of the First Week.

Day 4
Prayer on Luke 18: 1-8: The Parable of the Persistent Widow: "Then he told them a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary...And a widow in that town used to come to him and say, 'Render a just decision for me against my adversary. For a long time the judge was unwilling, but eventually he thought, 'While it is true that I neither fear God nor respect any human being, because this widow keeps bothering me I shall deliver a just decision for her lest she finally come and strike me.'" The Lord said, "Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says. Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night...But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?"
Day 5
Day 5
Prayer on Luke 18: 13-14: The Parable of the Pharisee and Tax Collector: "But the tax collector stood off at a distance and would not even raise his eyes to heaven but beat his breast and prayed, 'O God be merciful to me a sinner.' I tell you, the latter went home justified, not the former; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted." [Please read Luke 18: 9-14 for a better appreciation of the passage].

Rend your hearts and not your clothing, Joel 2:13. As we journey thru life are we connected to God? Are we fully alive? Or are we like the prodigal sons brother going thru the motions, living without pain? We can see the Fathers love, we can see what pains Him with His children. We can also see Him teaching His children and cleansing what is unclean, are we willing to go thru this journey or are we like the rich brother living in luxury oblivious to what is going on around us. The journey into the heart of God will reveal many's things about yourself, the most important of these lessons is being in the presence of God each day. To be fully alive with the joy and with the pain, there will be no fatted calf nor royal banquet if you seek what the rich brother has and is unwilling to change.
What is God saying to you? I love you. (I know)

Dear Father, what a blessing this day is, to be able to visit together and listen to each other, to have you speak life into my thoughts. You know what is needed, You know what is next, You know what is best in all circumstances. I thank You for all of this! Prayers for what pains You, I may only be a drop in the ocean but it is You that breathes life into this drop, may You drop me where You need me. Prayers of thanksgiving for the upcoming men's conference, You who began a mighty work will see it thru to the end. Bless this day and all it has to offer, may I always rend my heart and never my clothes. Amen.
