Week 28 - The Journey Day 2 - The Seat of Wisdom.
"And now, bless the God of all, who has done wondrous things on earth; Who fosters people's growth from their mother's womb, and fashions them according to his will!" Sirach 50:22
The Seat of Wisdom. One of the titles given to Mary as Mother of all wisdom. It was she who nursed the Christ child as she pondered in her heart the meaning of all these things. It was Bathsheba who give birth to Solomon who asked God for wisdom. "Give me, therefore, wisdom and knowledge to govern this people, for otherwise who could rule this vast people of yours?" 2 Chronicles 1:10
"Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb." Luke 1:42. The seat of wisdom gave us Jesus and she points to God, the source of all wisdom. We each have a lot to be thankful for, ponder the life of Mary in your journey. In what ways did she share the love of God with others. What about the sacrifice she made so we could receive redemption thru the Son of God. She must of known the journey her Son would make from the word of God. Her journey was not an easy one but one offered up in thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, treasure the gift of life and give what God gives you.
What is God saying to you?
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the glimpses into Your Holy Family, for the thoughts that lead to action, in our response back to You, we gain insight. Thankful for this day, for family that loves each other and who continue to grow in ways of love. Thankful Father for this journey with Mary, she is the seat of wisdom and is there to help us along our journey. Bless this day Father, bless all the mothers that are diligently caring for their children and adopted children this Thanksgiving day. Amen.
