Daily Thoughts 3-1-2017 2 Corinthians 5:20

"So we are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were appealing through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God." 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:20

Did you know today is Ash Wednesday, do you know this tradition dates back to 325 AD.  Ashes are an outward sign of our faith in Christ and His Church.  God does appeal through each of us, our faith in Christ increases with hearing and with seeing, seeing the faith of others.  Jesus spent time to prepare Himself, the next forty days how are you going to take an account of your faith? How are you going to deny self?  What will make a difference in your life and the lives of others.  Be an ambassador of Christ and profess your faith, God is appealing through you.

Dear Lord Jesus, today we begin a journey to draw closer to You.  We begin to deny self to learn of your suffering on the cross for us.  May I be ever mindful of my sins, may I be repentant and draw upon Your strength.  You suffered greatly for each of us, so we could gain eternal salvation, increase our faith Lord and may we be a pleasing offering in Your site this Lenten season.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, Amen.

Mary, Full of Grace, pray for us.
