Daily Thoughts 3-18-2017 Luke 15:18

"I shall get up and go to my father and I shall say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:18‬

The entrapment of sin, we must realize what we are doing is sin before we will seek help.  The lost son ran off and squandered his inheritance freely without thought of the consequences.  Then when he had time to reflect upon his situation, he realized the life he once had was a good one and much better than his current.  Sin entices but it also creates a future we do not want.  The Father is always waiting upon our return with open arms.

Dear Triune God, the gifts you give are done freely and all around us.  They offer joy, peace and happiness, help me sit still and reflect, help me ponder the past and the future, and help me concentrate on this day.   You are a loving Father that seeks some of our time and gifts, may I never neglect to accept Your counsel.   I ask this in The name of Your most holy Son, Jesus, Amen.

Mary, refuge of sinners, pray for us.
