"Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled."

The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:45, 49‬

Today we celebrate the feast of the visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  
Mary believed, she believed before she said yes.  She is the first Christian and she did what Christians are called to do.  She brought Jesus to her cousin Elizabeth and now she believes.  Mary honors God by her actions, she recognizes her mission.  Mary sets an example for each of us to go out and share the joy that we have.  To bring life to those that are seeking, to bring a ray of hope to the down trodden.  You carry the same Jesus she gave birth to and Holy is His name.  

Dear Lord God, You bless us with Your family, may we honor You as they did.  Help us today as we go into the world to live Your word.  May we feel the same joy Mary and Elizabeth felt when they first met.  Open our hearts to Your Holy Spirit, prepare us for the day and may each of us be able to say "The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1: 49‬. Amen.

Daily Thoughts 5-30-2017 Acts 20:26-27

"And so I solemnly declare to you this day that I am not responsible for the blood of any of you, for I did not shrink from proclaiming to you the entire plan of God." ‭‭Acts‬ ‭20:26-27‬

These are Paul's words to those he preached to.  He didn't just receive salvation from Jesus, he accepted the responsibility that comes along with it.  Those he encountered, he recognized they needed to hear the good news.  He didn't want that on his conscious of not doing what God's word tells us.  You have heard the words once saved always saved, how can this be true if all a person cares about is themselves.  The people you encounter today, do they know the Living God?  Will you share Jesus with them?

Dear Heavenly Father, You send us Your Holy Spirit so we may spread the Good News.  Open our hearts to receive Him and Your loving message that changes souls.  May we be attentive to Your calling and not miss an opportunity to help others come to know You through our actions.  God of power and mercy grant that when the Holy Spirit comes he may dwell in us and make us a temple filled with His glory.  I ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.  Amen

Daily Thoughts 5-29-2017 Colossians 3:1

"If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God." Colossians‬ ‭3:1‬

Being baptized as a baby, I was brought into His kingdom, His kingdom of repentance.  My soul was cleansed of original sin.  As adults we must decide to be baptized in the Spirit of Christ.  The life that we lead, does it acknowledge God in all that we do?   Have you been raised with Jesus, from the sins of this world?  The choices you make today will impact your tomorrow, place your trust in Jesus and live.  

Dear Lord God, send us Your Holy Spirit, Renew in us the zeal to live for You.   Guide our thoughts and place them upon You.  Thank You Lord Jesus for the freedom we enjoy because others sacrificed for the pursuit of happiness.  May we also give of ourselves so others may come to know and love You. I ask this through Christ, our Lord, Amen.

"Now this is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. I glorified you on earth by accomplishing the work that you gave me to do." John‬ ‭17:3-4

Do you realize you are being called for a mission that is just for you?  Each has been given certain gifts and talents that are to glorify God.  It is in knowing Jesus and living the life that He provides that we share Jesus with others.  When you realize the love Christ has for you, you give it away.  Are you accomplishing the work He has given you?  If your focus is on knowing Christ then you are doing the work.  The accomplishing isn't ours but His to do.  Glorify the Father with your life, seek happiness that only He can give.  

Dear Heavenly Father, I seek to know You better each day of my life.  Pour Your grace out on Your servants, may they see the mission they have been called too.  Thank You for Your covenant family and the blessings that this day brings.  Lord prepare us to receive Your Holy Spirit on Pentecost Sunday.  In Jesus name, Amen.

"For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have come to believe that I came from God." ‭‭John‬ ‭16:27‬

Are we not adopted into God's covenant family?  "and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty."  2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭

Our love of Jesus is our key to understanding.  There are lots of mysteries in our faith that are some times hard to grasp but our love for Christ is the beginning of understanding.  Being adopted into God's family brings new meaning to God's word.  When you don't fully understand follow His direction.  "Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete." ‭‭John‬ ‭16:24‬.  It is the gift of the Holy Spirit who gives understanding and the desire to seek God's word, be faithful to His direction.  

Dear Lord Jesus, I am blessed by Your presence through out the day.  I thank You for a blessed morning being able to reflect upon Your word. I ask for deeper understanding of Your mysteries.  May this weekend be a safe and enjoyable weekend, send us insights into the love You have for each of us.  May You always be in our thoughts and may we always sing your praises.  I ask this in Your name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 5-26-2017 John 16:21-22

"When a woman is in labor, she is in anguish because her hour has arrived; but when she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the pain because of her joy that a child has been born into the world. So you also are now in anguish. But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you." ‭‭John‬ ‭16:21-22‬

Anguish is a pretty intense word and place, being in a situation that is causing pain can temporarily take your joy.  Is your focus on the pain or situation?  Concentrate your thoughts on Jesus, He is Joy.  Arm yourself by saying the rosary and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  It is you that gives the world power, offer that up to Christ in prayer and He will answer.  "and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." ‭‭John‬ ‭8:32‬

Dear Lord Jesus, we stray from you when we are comfortable forgetting to arm ourselves for battle.  Remind us how important prayer is in our lives.  Teach us truth even when it is painful knowing it may be our actions causing the pain.  Bring peace today thru the truth of Christ.  Embolden each of us to sing praises of the Risen King and may we be blessed in knowing You love each of us more than we can comprehend.  In Jesus name, Amen.

"When they had gathered together they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:6‬

Have you ever restored an old house or a piece of furniture, it takes time and you usually run into some unforeseen challenges.  Jesus ascended into Heaven and left His disciples to begin the restoration.  He is the perfect example of how to restore.  Are you restoring the handy work of God?  It takes a team and the Master Finisher.  Looks like another good day to follow His example.  

Lord God, I trust Your good judgement, I place myself in Your hands today.  Use me and refine me for the tasks You have assigned to Your servant.  Thank You for your help at all times.  May today be a good day.  Amen.

"The God who made the world and all that is in it, the Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in sanctuaries made by human hands," ‭‭Acts‬ ‭17:24‬

Have you considered why God made the world?  Why are you here at this point of time?  God has done all that you see and are, for you.  Then He gives us freedom to choose our destiny, will we return that love or will we deny it?  "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, [then] I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me." ‭Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬.  The only sanctuary that God truly wishes to reside at is in your heart.  As I have heard recently from someone, "He is my everything", can you say that?

Dear Lord God, I invite you in to dine with me.  May I prepare myself to be a sanctuary for Your living presence.  Take this day Lord and help me navigate it so it maybe a pleasing offering to you.  I humbly ask for Your help in all that I do.   Teach me Your ways and protect this child of Yours.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 5-23-2017 John 16:6-7

"But because I told you this, grief has filled your hearts. But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you." John‬ ‭16:6-7‬

The Holy Spirit, what a mystery.  No matter how hard you try there is always more to fathom and you still can't fathom it all.   Jesus sends us the Holy Spirit to guide us and direct us when we are listening.  Just look at the disciples while Jesus was on this planet they were a band of misfits.  After Jesus ascended into Heaven, they changed the world preaching Gods word.  The more they became persecuted the more the gospel spread.  They lived in the spirit and He lead them.  We all can learn from how they lived, do not be fearful of persecution, embrace it, and witness the saving power of Christ.   

Come Holy Spirit and over shadow me with Your gentle wisdom and power as I endeavor to sit at the feet of Jesus during this period of prayer. Purify my mind and heart as I seek to make the teachings of Jesus my priority in life, thinking, speaking and doing as He desires.  You are the keeper of my soul, leading me into God's heart.  May I be docile and submissive to your wisdom and guidance and may my life be a pleasing offering in your sight, through Christ our Lord, Amen.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.

""When the Advocate comes whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth that proceeds from the Father, he will testify to me." John‬ ‭15:26‬

Life in the Spirit sees God in action and hears what God is saying.  It is the Holy Spirit that speaks to us, the Triune God who directs our path when we are living in the spirit.  You will testify to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Your heart will feel compelled to speak the truth and live the life God calls you too.  He calls each of us to this life, to see the awe and wonderment around us.  Listen to what God is saying to you, receive the Holy Spirit and live.  

Dear Father, Your words are life itself. Your Spirit lives within and I treasure Your gift of hope and joy.  Guide me this coming week to testify of Your saving grace, to share Your word with those You choose.  Come live within me so I may know you more.  Bring peace to this day and Thank You Gracious Father for the blessings of rain. In Jesus name, amen.

"I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you." John‬ ‭14:18‬

We become adopted sons and daughters into God's covenant family.    A covenant is a mutual agreement where both sides honor their commitments.  God gives us His commandments to honor and live.  In turn He gives us eternity.  What must we do?  ""If you love me, you will keep my commandments." John‬ ‭14:15‬.  Love is the glue to any family, God never stops loving us, ever!  It is a loving relationship, do you love in return.  

Dear Lord God, You love us so much, You never stop loving us.  Thank You for adopting me into Your covenant family. I thank You for teaching me, listening to me and guiding me in this crazy world that tries to deny You.  May others respond to Your love and slowly change their world.  I ask this through Your Son who died for our sins and was risen from the dead.

"For Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the sake of the unrighteous, that he might lead you to God. Put to death in the flesh, he was brought to life in the spirit." ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:18‬

Greater is He that is in me, than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4b.  God reminds us to live in the spirit and not in the flesh.  He died on the cross for all of our sins, we must be willing to give them to Him.  Humble yourself before the Lord and He will lift you up.  James 4:10.  Christ works on us each day leading us to the Father.  Jesus is the example of a perfect life, something that each of us should strife for and something I fall short on all the time.  Thankfully, I am given another day to try again.   

Lord God, it is You I long for yet in my strength I am weakest.  Pour out your grace and remove from me what causes You pain.  Open my eyes to the things of this world that creates separation between us.  In my stiffness make me pliable and teach me Your ways so I maybe an ardent disciple for You.   I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 5-19-2017 Psalms 57:10

"I will praise you among the peoples, Lord; I will chant your praise among the nations." Psalms‬ ‭57:10

Can you think of a problem where Jesus isn't the answer?  There is so much going on in the world and Jesus is the answer.  Speak up and sing praise for what God has and is doing for you.  "No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends." John 15:13.  Staying quiet isn't singing the praises of God, it isn't chanting His saving power nor is it laying down ones life for one's friends.   Go and bear fruit, tell of the joy that Christ has instilled within you.  

Dear Heavenly Father, I will sing Your praises Lord with the guidance of Your Holy Spirit.  May Your joy shine forth in the darkness and bring life to those in need.  Increase in me Your living presence, conquer the sin in my life and grant peace to my spirit as I go forth today singing of Your glory.  I ask this in the name above every other name, Jesus Christ, the one who saves.  Amen.

""I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete." ‭John‬ ‭15:11‬

The world works at stealing our joy all the time.  Following God's commandments strengthens us for the battle, reading His word gives us ammunition.  Jesus is the Commander of His army, when you feel your joy being overcome ask for help, He will send help and restore your joy.  Have you been asking, He answered.  Don't miss His response.  

Lord God, it is in You we find refuge, You are the Almighty that defeats everything.  Help us see the joy that you send.  Give us the wisdom to know how to respond to those who are not yet in Your army.  Bless this day God with peace, understanding and compassion.  The Lord bless us, and keep us from all evil, and bring us to everlasting life. Amen.

"With all my heart I seek you; do not let me stray from your commandments." ‭Psalms‬ ‭119:10‬

The way of God is not the way of the world.  To follow God isn't a hard studious process, it is the opposite.  It is sitting still and just being in His presence, to listen to His voice, to listen to the nothingness and then knowing He is there.  God loves you so much, even when we do not honor Him by getting tripped up, He still loves you.  Only when we sit still and give it all to Christ do we truly see who He is.  You have to listen to your heart, that is where God speaks to you.  How can you do that if you let all the noise in and drown out what He is saying.  Listen and follow your heart.   

Dear Lord God, I love You with all that I am.  In my weakness I love you, in my strength I love you.  I give it all to You, make of me what You will.   Amen.

Daily Thoughts 5-16-2017 Acts 14:20

"But when the disciples gathered around him, he got up and entered the city. On the following day he left with Barnabas for Derbe." ‭Acts‬ ‭14:20‬

There is joy when you are surrounded by a group of believers.  There is a joy that is hard to describe.  The tolls of the day may get you down but then you are blessed with friends that pick up your spirit.  To live in Christ is to live in a community, never miss an opportunity to get around others and pray.  Where two or more are gathered in my name there am I in their midst. 

Dear Lord, You fill us with Joy when we gather together.   You give what You can only give so we maybe strengthened for the glory of God.  Allow us to sing Your praises when we gather together and see the benefit of living in a faith community. Thank You for Your blessings and make clear our paths to be with You.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.  

Men's gathering tonight in Hostyn, let others bring the joy of Christ to you, starts at 7:00.

Daily Thoughts 5-15-2017 John 14:21

"Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him." John‬ ‭14:21‬

Love is at the heart of God's relationship with us, Love should be at the heart of our relationship with Him.  The kind of love God desires is that of a parent to a child.  You would do anything for your children, you wouldn't think twice about it.  It is second nature to you, this is the type of love God wants us to have for Him.  When we figure this out life becomes so much easier for now you are doing what Jesus did.  He lived with the love of the Father all the time.  

Dear Lord God, it is You who speaks to our heart.  You never condemn us only provide loving guidance as any parent would.  May this day be filled with thoughts of You, may I recognize You at work in my life.  Forgive me for my transgressions and teach me Your ways so I am always in Your embrace, Amen.

Thomas said to him, "Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?"

Philip said to him, "Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.""
‭‭John‬ ‭14:1, 5, 8‬

Philip and Thomas are questioning Jesus and yet He is the answer to their question.  How many of us question and the answer is right in front of us and we can not see it.  Slow down and take a deep breath, God has got it, open your eyes of faith and trust in Jesus.

Dear Lord Jesus, I am blinded by the simplest of things and can not see you working in my life.  Open my eyes so I may see, remove the question so I may see the answer.  Lord, oh how I long for You, Jesus I trust in You.  Amen.

  I love Fatima and the other Marian apparitions, I think they are so important for the time we are living in. I thought the significance of 5/13 was pretty cool and wanted to share it with yall. 

  

  Pope Francis will travel to Fatima this weekend and on Saturday, 5/13 celebrate the 100^th anniversary of the first apparition of the Virgin Mary at Fatima.  On that day he will also be beatifying Francisco and Jacinta who were the two youngest of the seers. Our Lady appeared under the title "Queen of the Holy Rosary" and urged penance and prayer for the reparation of sin.  She also gave the children three "secrets" the first of which was a terrifying vision of hell.  The second secret was the prediction that WWI would end, but if men did not stop offending God a second and even greater war would begin.  In this revelation she also asked that the Holy Father consecrate Russia to her immaculate heart, in order to save the world from its errors. The third secret was a vision of a bishop dressed in white, who looked like the Holy Father, walking through a desolated city strewn with bodies. Upon reaching his destination he was gunned down, with many other religious and lay people. 

  On 5/13/1981 at 5:13 Pope John Paul II was shot in St. Peters Square and nearly killed.  He credited his survival to the Blessed Virgin. After his recovery, Pope John Paul II decided to consecrate the world to the immaculate heart and this was done in 1984.  Sister Lucia confirmed that the consecration, though not done exactly as asked, was accepted in heaven.  In the summer of 1989 communism fell without a shot being fired. 

  In the year 2000, Pope John Paul II revealed the third secret to the world, which up until then had not been revealed.  He thought that he was the bishop dressed in white, and with his assassination attempt, this fulfilled the third secret. 

  It's also pretty cool that the next day is Mother's Day.

Daily Thoughts 5-13-2017 Acts 13:47

"For so the Lord has commanded us, 'I have made you a light to the Gentiles, that you may be an instrument of salvation to the ends of the earth.'" Acts‬ ‭13:47‬

Do others know you are a Christian, do you live it everyday.  Like Paul and Barnabas, do you speak up when called upon.  An instrument is just that until it is picked up and placed in the Masters hands.  Your live speaks to others, does it shine a light upon the Master, the One who gave everything to you.   

Dear Lord Jesus, I ask that You use me today to do what You need to be done.   May I be a willing participant in Your divine plan of salvation.  Increase in me a willing spirit and a fervent heart to spread Your message of love.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"Where I am going you know the way." John‬ ‭14:4‬

Do you know the way?  If you know the way are you willing to go?  Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.  What did Jesus do during His life here on earth?  What things did He accomplish and how did He do them?    "Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father." John‬ ‭14:12‬. Jesus gave of Himself all the time to those around Him, this I believe is the way.  Are you willing to sacrifice your life so you will not become lost?  "Where I am going you know the way." John‬ ‭14:4‬

Dear Heavenly Father, I love You so much yet I struggle at times to follow You completely.  Help me on my journey Lord, help me keep my eyes on You and not get lost.  Strengthen my spirit for the road ahead.  Be my hope and my guide along the path of life.  Bless this day Lord with Your grace.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

"Amen, amen" Jesus is getting our attention on what He is about to say.  I remember as a kid learning to play chess, my aunt taught me how to play.  I eventually learned to beat her and would brag about it.  Was I humble in my winning, no.  Jesus reminds each of us, even in our successes to give credit where credit is due.  What you have achieved today is because of the gifts God has given you.  Without Him we are nothing.  Remain humble in all that you do, and remember pride comes before a fall.  Judas let his pride get in the way, humility is knowing who's you are and why you are here.  Be the light you are called to be.  

Dear Lord God, You have given us another day.  I thank You Lord God for blessing us with the gifts that You have chosen each of us for.  May we recognize what Your purpose is for them and may we use them to glorify You and not ourselves.  May Your message come through loud and clear today.  "A clean heart create for me, God; renew within me a steadfast spirit." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:12‬. Amen.

"But the word of God continued to spread and grow." Acts‬ ‭12:24‬

Spreading the Gospel, something you may think you are not capable of.  Jesus never forced the message onto to others, He just lived His life and lead.  Blessing your self at a meal, living your faith and belief in Jesus Christ is spreading the Gospel.  God uses our lives to reach those that are lost so He can bring them home.  Your sphere of influence is watching, speak the truth and witness Christ at work in those around you, all because you said; I will follow You.  Be always at the ready to give a reason for your hope, when asked.  

Dear Heavenly Father, our lives are Your witness to others.  The way of the world leads to destruction, the way of Christ leads to peace and happiness.  Increase within each of us the desire to live for You.  Show the joy on our faces, the love we have for You, God.  Help us witness to others through our simple actions living life. Father God, I love You and will go where You tell me, Lead the way, the kingdom of God is at hand.  Amen.

As I reflect this morning on the readings, my thoughts go to Mother Mary.  She is the birthplace of all Christians.  Without Mary's yes to the will of God, we would not have redemption.   It was in her YES, that Christianity was born, she allowed Jesus to enter this world as man.   If you exchange Mary for Zion, you will see God's divine plan come to life.  Maybe you don't have a devotion to Mary, Jesus does, she is the spiritual mother of all Christians, whether they acknowledge her or not.  

Dear Lord God, you blessed us with a beautiful mother for Your Son Jesus.  May we treat and respect her as You do.  No family is complete with out a mother, help us see Mary in Your word.  Reveal Your master plan to us as we read scripture.  Awaken our senses to the Holy Spirit and may we be super sensitive to Your promptings Lord God.  Thank You for Your guidance this day.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer, Amen.

Daily Thoughts Acts 11:18 5-8-2017

"When they heard this, they stopped objecting and glorified God, saying, "God has then granted life-giving repentance to the Gentiles too." ‭‭Acts‬ ‭11:18‬

Does God hold back His mercy from anyone willing to receive it, absolutely not.  Repentance is life-giving, we are saying we are sorry for past actions and we are willing to change from this point forward.   We glorify God because we recognize that there is dire consequences to our bad actions and we want to honor God with our lives and work on loving Him each and every day.  Repent and be saved.

Dear Heavenly Father, You always lead us home to You.  You gave us the greatest gift of Your Son, so that we can have eternal life.  Give us divine love for Your Holy Family.  Increase in us and strengthen our desire to turn from our sinful ways.  Show us peace in following Jesus and may we always turn to You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

"But if you are patient when you suffer for doing what is good, this is a grace before God. For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example that you should follow in his footsteps." ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:20b-21

Have you lost any friends or gotten the cold shoulder for speaking the truth?  It is our choice each day to follow the master, to choose right or wrong, to speak or not to speak.  We will suffer no matter the choice so choose wisely and accept the grace of patience with those around you.  As Jesus did, lead and those He has chosen will hear His voice and follow His example.  

Dear Triune God, You are our example that we are to follow.  Help us receive the grace of patience when being rejected.  May we see what you see, a lost soul that is wandering in the desert.  Ease the pain of those suffering by showing them to offer it up to our Heavenly Father as you did.  Bless this day with Your grace as we move one more day closer to salvation.  Amen.

"It is the spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life." ‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬

Why must we always see with our eyes to believe?  Why can't we see with the eyes of our heart and believe.   Jesus died on a cross and suffered for each of us personally, all He asks in return is to believe and carry Him forward.  "I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do." ‭‭John‬ ‭13:15‬. Contemplate your actions this past week are they the Spirit and Life of Christ?  Some yes and some no, is my response.  It is the no's I need to work on.   Be Christ to those around you, even when it hurts.

Dear Heavenly Father, You blessed us with a tremendous week to worship and honor You.   Your words are Spirit and life to our souls.  Heal our pains and correct our wrong actions.  Give us Your peace when we are being pruned.  Bless this day with honest thoughts and grant us the ability to forgive those who have hurt us and ask for forgiveness of those we have hurt.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts John 6:53-56 5-5-2017

"Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him."
‭‭John‬ ‭6:53-56‬

Jesus didn't mince words when speaking about His sacrifice.  He repeats Himself a minimum of three times.  It is obvious that Jesus wants His audience to hear what He is saying.  An audience that were taught that blood was not to be touched nor raw flesh eating.  This is their response: "Then many of his disciples who were listening said, "This saying is hard; who can accept it?"" ‭‭John‬ ‭6:60‬.  It isn't much different today for some disciples to want to reject these words of Christ.  They try to soften them up but Jesus is very clear.  Will you eat the flesh of Christ and sacrifice for Him?  Will you step out on faith and see the Son of Man in the Eucharist and receive mana from heaven?

Dear Lord God, You are always teaching us on Your ways in life.  I know You are stretching each of us to go deeper and embrace Your word, to accept it as You really meant it.  Lord fill me with Your precious life, renew my thoughts and give me peace that goes beyond all understanding.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

"It is written in the prophets: 'They shall all be taught by God." ‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬a

God is constantly teaching us, like a good Father.  Just think about your life right now, can you see where God has taught you and is still teaching.   Maybe you have had some rough patches, don't you let your kids learn the hard way when they refuse to listen to you?  God is always teaching us, calling us forward.  

Dear Lord God, watch over us and protect us today.  You are always watching over each one of us, may we give You thanks in our words, thoughts and actions today.  I thank You for Your teaching and the teachers You have sent into my life.  Help us see You at work in our lives and may we truly realize how blessed we are.  In You, we will sing praise, in You is our hope for eternal life.  In Jesus name, Amen.

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the firmament proclaims the works of his hands. Day unto day pours forth speech; night unto night whispers knowledge." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭19:2-3‬

Are you doing your part?  If we know Jesus as Lord and we have met Him, you will speak of Him.  You are the firmament, you are the day and you are the night, that speaks of His works and gives knowledge.  Do not be an observer in the Kingdom, be an active participant.  It is God's people who build His temple, one person at a time.  "The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works." ‭‭John‬ ‭14:10‬b.  Be a willing participant in God's plan, this is at the heart of what the apostles did.  

Dear Lord God, I thank You for Your friendship and walking with me each day.  I am thankful that I can turn to You for help when things don't go as planned. Fill my heart with You, Lord God.  Give what only You can give, I want to be a willing participant each and every day of my earthly life.  Jesus, I trust in You.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.  Amen.

"Our ancestors ate manna in the desert, as it is written: 'He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'" ‭John‬ ‭6:31‬

In the Catholic Faith, we believe in the divinity of Christ which is in the Eucharist.  At each mass the host is transformed into the flesh of Christ.  We make up the body of Christ but the body is not complete unless it has a head.  The magisterium or church authority is the head and the body does not have life unless it has a heart.  Jesus is the heart of the Church and the Eucharist is the bread from heaven that feeds Gods people.  Do you think that God doesn't feed His body, the Church?  Wrong!  God feeds us at every mass with the bread of life.  

Dear Lord God, You send us manna from heaven to nourish us for the journey.  You have never neglected Your people.  May we be open to Your Holy Word, may we live today as if there is no tomorrow.  Thank You for Your words of encouragement on my journey.  I love You and adore You, because by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world.  Amen.

"Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him the Father, God, has set his seal."" ‭John‬ ‭6:27‬

We all have to work, it is part of life.  What is the goal of your work?  Is it to built your empire bigger and better?  This is the food that perishes, if you are doing the work of God, you work to please Him.  You work to feed those He has entrusted to you.  Your work involves Christ, you speak of Him and give Him praise and honor.  You seek to build His kingdom with the gifts He has given you, this is the food that endures.  Build your treasure in Heaven and never go hungry.  

Dear Lord God, You entrust us each day to go into the vineyard to do the work of Your hands, guide us and lead us to accomplish Your will.  May we find satisfaction in following You.  May we see beyond the monotony of our jobs and recognize Christ in those that you surround us with.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
