"But because I told you this, grief has filled your hearts. But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you." John 16:6-7
The Holy Spirit, what a mystery. No matter how hard you try there is always more to fathom and you still can't fathom it all. Jesus sends us the Holy Spirit to guide us and direct us when we are listening. Just look at the disciples while Jesus was on this planet they were a band of misfits. After Jesus ascended into Heaven, they changed the world preaching Gods word. The more they became persecuted the more the gospel spread. They lived in the spirit and He lead them. We all can learn from how they lived, do not be fearful of persecution, embrace it, and witness the saving power of Christ.
Come Holy Spirit and over shadow me with Your gentle wisdom and power as I endeavor to sit at the feet of Jesus during this period of prayer. Purify my mind and heart as I seek to make the teachings of Jesus my priority in life, thinking, speaking and doing as He desires. You are the keeper of my soul, leading me into God's heart. May I be docile and submissive to your wisdom and guidance and may my life be a pleasing offering in your sight, through Christ our Lord, Amen. Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.
