Are we not adopted into God's covenant family? "and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty." 2 Corinthians 6:18
Our love of Jesus is our key to understanding. There are lots of mysteries in our faith that are some times hard to grasp but our love for Christ is the beginning of understanding. Being adopted into God's family brings new meaning to God's word. When you don't fully understand follow His direction. "Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete." John 16:24. It is the gift of the Holy Spirit who gives understanding and the desire to seek God's word, be faithful to His direction.
Dear Lord Jesus, I am blessed by Your presence through out the day. I thank You for a blessed morning being able to reflect upon Your word. I ask for deeper understanding of Your mysteries. May this weekend be a safe and enjoyable weekend, send us insights into the love You have for each of us. May You always be in our thoughts and may we always sing your praises. I ask this in Your name, Jesus Christ, Amen.
