Isaiah 55:10-11 3-12-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Yet just as from the heavens the rain and snow come down And do not return there till they have watered the earth, making it fertile and fruitful, Giving seed to the one who sows and bread to the one who eats, So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; It shall not return to me empty, but shall do what pleases me, achieving the end for which I sent it." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:10-11‬

Day 6 of our Lenten journey: Words have power, they create the world around you.  Did God not speak the world into existence in six days.  What kind of world are you building?  When was the last time you listened to what you said?  Sometimes your words have unintended consequences.  "Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who choose one shall eat its fruit." ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:21‬.  Is the fruit bitter or sweet?  A couple of words we can all use more is, "Thank You", "please" and "I'm sorry."  Words have power.

Dear Lord, the world I have built is of my own doing, guide me in my thoughts and my words that You speak through it all.  Renew my mind so that I may have the wisdom to not harm but to build up.  Give me the insight to listen more and speak less.  Help me to hear what is being said and may my words always be life.  Bless this day, May You always be on my tongue this day.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
