Isaiah 58:6-8 3-8-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Is this not, rather, the fast that I choose: releasing those bound unjustly, untying the thongs of the yoke; Setting free the oppressed, breaking off every yoke? Is it not sharing your bread with the hungry, bringing the afflicted and the homeless into your house; Clothing the naked when you see them, and not turning your back on your own flesh? Then your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your wound shall quickly be healed; Your vindication shall go before you, and the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭58:6-8

Day 2 of our Lenten journey.   Charity is the word that God put in my thoughts for what I will give up this lent.  In what ways are we helping others release the bondage they place themselves in?  Fasting can still be giving up Chocolate or alcohol but if you are not doing anything with the monies you would normally spend are you really benefiting the body of Christ.  Living the Word of God is available to us each day if we would pay attention to what opportunities God puts in front of us.   Live your faith and do not turn your back on your own flesh.

Dear Father, I love You, I love the joy You have put in our lives.  I love the Spirit You are developing amongst us.  Thank You Father for the opportunities to release anxiety, fear, to bring joy into our day, to cooperate with the Body of Christ that enables peace to walk amongst us.  Watch over us Father, be our everything and help us realize that life is exhilarating when You are on the inside.  Prayers for a friend who is sick, may they recover quickly.  I give You all the honor, all the glory and all the praise.  Amen

Mary, Highly Favored One, Full of Grace, pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
