Exodus Chapter 38 10-7-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"one bekah apiece, that is, a half-shekel, according to the standard of the sanctuary shekel, was received from everyone who was enrolled, of twenty years or more, namely, six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty men." Exodus‬ ‭38:26‬

God provides for all our needs.  The Israelites had nothing, they were slaves yet they each gave what was asked of them.  The Egyptians gave what was asked of them, it was their silver, gold and bronze and they freely gave to the Israelites.  What we are given does not belong to us, we are given the responsibility to use it with right judgement, it all belongs to God.  They all gave to God so He could have a house worthy of Him and they had a place to worship.  Happiness in life isn't  from receiving, it is in giving, giving of our time, talent and treasure.

What is God saying to me: Be at peace, I am at work.

Dear Father, it is another week to go into Your Kingdom with the gifts You have given each of us.  We are each asked to give some of it back to You in various forms, may we do so with an open heart.  I thank You for a good weekend, for time spent with family and for time spent with You in Your house.  As I put on the armor of God today, help me remember what is important, help me grow this coming week in Your favor and may I always praise You,  we're all good things come from.  In Jesus name. Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, Pray for us.
