Psalms 9 - Do you know Him

"Those who know your name trust in you; you never forsake those who seek you, LORD.

To Sheol the wicked will depart, all the nations that forget God. For the needy will never be forgotten, nor will the hope of the afflicted ever fade." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9:11, 18-19‬

Psalms 9 - Do you know Him?  David speaks of the Lord, Jesus, he knew Him even though He was yet to become man in the flesh.  How did David know Jesus?  It was his acceptance of the invitation to trinitarian life by God.  He needed God in his life and he sought Him out.  When we seek God, He reveals Himself to us, even before He became man.  The invitation is there for all, God knocks, He seeks us out and we must decide to respond.  He also tells us the consequences of not knowing Him.  He is an awesome God, your life is your Song, sing 🎶.

What is God saying to me: From the depths of your soul, you seek me. Even in the darkness you are able to see and hear.

Dear Lord, You reveal Yourself in scripture and give insights that are there but are hidden until we sit still and listen to the guidance of Your Holy Spirit.  A life with You is a life filled with joy, I thank You for living within and giving glimpses into history.  I thank You for the guidance of our Blessed Mother, it was her who opened the door.  I pray for all those who are not needy, who think they have it all figured out, may they answer the invitation and be amazed at Your teachings in the quiet.  Prayers for a priest many miles away following Your call and reaching the needy, bless his ministry Father, he is one of Your chosen ones.  I offer all of this up through my Blessed Mother, Amen.

Psalms 8 - Choices

"O LORD, our Lord, how awesome is your name through all the earth!"  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭8:10‬

Psalms 8 - Choices.  I think of all of God's wondrous creations and the greatest of this is man.  Then I think of Adam and Jesus, both spotless and without sin.  Then I think of our journeys each day and the choices we make. Am I Adam or am I Jesus?  "What is man that you are mindful of him, and a son of man that you care for him?" ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭8:5‬. Both made perfect but only one stayed spotless.  And we get to experience both and choose, how will I respond to My loving God who gave me all of this to enjoy.  Will I honor Him as Jesus did or will I ignore Him as Adam did.  The choice is yours this day.

What is God saying to me: There is peace in the stillness where you can ponder My word, I will give You insights that others can receive but do not take the time.  This life is a journey meant to be enjoyed, true happiness comes from following My will and experiencing the spotless lamb in you each day you awake.

Dear Father, I love the journey with all its ups and downs, lefts and rights.  It is an incredible adventure especially when I am obedient to Your voice.  I am in awe of the treasures You place in front of us to see and experience.  I thank You for giving us Jesus so He can minister to us and show us the way to everlasting life.  Prayers today for those learning to listen to Your promptings, to respond as Your Son Jesus does in all of our situations.  Bless this day Father You have given us, may we enter it with a thankful heart.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 7 - God at work

"the LORD will pass judgment on the peoples. Judge me, LORD, according to my righteousness, and my integrity. Let the malice of the wicked end. Uphold the just one, O just God, who tries hearts and minds."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭7:9-10‬

Psalms 7 - God at work.  Watching God at work isn't easy, the joyful is but the sorrowful isn't but He needs to do what is necessary.  On my own, I am nothing but Jesus on the inside, we have been upheld.  Getting to that point in ones life that it is no longer you but God within is the place God wants all of us to get to.  We will be judged and the trial has already been tried.  Jesus rose from the dead and Lucifer was banished to hell.  Who lives within you?

What is God saying to me:  Pray for them, My timing and ways are always perfect.  Psalms 7 reveals many things about self, you must trust in My divine providence even in the suffering, there is no resurrection without the pain.

Dear Father, You know I ask why, I see some in pain and others that are in the devils den.  I pray for all Father, those that feel the pain and those that are living for self.  I thank You for seeing You at work, to be a witness to all that is going on around and within.  Heal hearts Lord, do what must be done, not my will but Thy will be done.  Thank You for this day and what lies ahead.  I will open my mouth but I ask You to put the words in.  Prayers for a family burying a son today, may they see Christ before His ascension.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 6 - The wilderness.

"Have pity on me, LORD, for I am weak; heal me, LORD, for my bones are shuddering."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭6:3‬

Psalms 6 - The wilderness.  "At once the Spirit drove him out into the desert, and he remained in the desert for forty days, tempted by Satan. He was among wild beasts, and the angels ministered to him." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:12-13‬.  No creature comforts just your thoughts and God.  Hunger pains nagging at you, the cold biting at you, it was no cake walk.  What did Jesus reflect upon when in the wilderness?  The words of His Father, the memories of the past, the joys and troubles of friends.  When He came out of the desert, He was stronger, His ministry began in ardent with Mary's encouragement.  Today is day one of forty, what desert are you retreating too, what strength are you asking for, what awaits beyond the desert for you?  What creature comforts are you giving up?

What is God saying to me: Come into the wilderness and experience what I did, listen and receive.  The day is coming where strength will be needed.

Dear Father, we begin another Lenten journey, You are by my side as we begin.  I pray for all surrounded by the world that they too be driven into the desert by Your Holy Spirit.  We are the cause of our own pain, You are the joy that fills the jars with new wine when we do as Jesus did.   Prayers for a family who lost a sweet lady that was filled with your Holy Spirit and is no longer in the wilderness  Come Lord Jesus come and renew the face of the earth, Amen.

Psalms 5 - God hates evil

"But I, through the abundance of your mercy, will enter into your house. I will bow down toward your holy sanctuary out of fear of you." Psalms‬ ‭5:8‬

Psalms 5 - God hates evil.  Do you have a holy fear of God?  It is easy to speak about God's love for He is love but what about hate?  He banished Lucifer from Heaven because of his pride, He hates evil and the actions of evil.  He knows a man's heart, "All your ways may be straight in your own eyes, but it is the LORD who weighs hearts." ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21:2‬. Nothing is hidden from God, He knows what is good and what is evil and so do you.  Develop a holy fear, the next time you bow down to worship, God knows.  Listen to God speaking to you.

What is God saying to me: I Am love and I can not allow evil to come into My sanctuary.  You see the battle waging on and how some are deceived in their ways.  I am the judge and will convict hearts, those that listen and obey will enter My Kingdom.  There is no back door.

Dear Father, I see the battle waging on, hearts being laid astray by false teachings believing they are Your words.  Give us a holy fear Lord, allow us to know You not only out of love but also with a healthy fear that our eternity rests in our obedience to worship you and Your ways.  Prayers for those in the wages of sin, trying to convince themselves that You will understand.  Speak Lord for Your servant is listening, I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalm 4 - Receive Peace

"Answer me when I call, my saving God. When troubles hem me in, set me free; take pity on me, hear my prayer. How long, O people, will you be hard of heart? Why do you love what is worthless, chase after lies? Selah Know that the LORD works wonders for his faithful one; the LORD hears when I call out to him. Tremble and sin no more; weep bitterly within your hearts, wail upon your beds, Offer fitting sacrifices and trust in the LORD. Many say, "May we see better times! LORD, show us the light of your face!" Selah But you have given my heart more joy than they have when grain and wine abound. In peace I will lie down and fall asleep, for you alone, LORD, make me secure." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭4:2-9‬

Psalms 4 - Receive Peace.  We all face challenges, everyday we face them.  Things don't go as expected, something comes out of no where.  God allows these to happen, do we seek better times or do we seek the light of His face.  Knowing God has you offers security in all things.  Learn to give thanks, seek His face and give thanks, for whatever is going on this too shall pass.

What is God saying to me: You said it, this too shall pass.

Dear Father, I thank You for the day, for the song birds that are singing their song.  You have charge over all things including me and I trust You.   I look forward to the week ahead, there is a lot to be accomplished, may you always be near as we make decisions.  Give us strength this week as we deal with various situations, in those times we are lost, may we seek Your face and find peace. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 3 - Look into My eyes

"Salvation is from the LORD! May your blessing be upon your people! Selah"  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭3:9‬

Psalms 3 - Look into My eyes.

Have you ever felt threatened to the point that you felt all alone?  You are never alone for God is right there with you, He felt the same loneliness but also knew His Father was with Him.  When we look upon the face of God, He is lovingly looking back, not judging, not condemning but just loving upon His creation.  David found this blessing from God when he was threatened and at a loss.  This blessing is there for all, look into His eyes and receive the peace of Christ.

What is God saying to me: I see you looking upon Me this morning in the stillness, I see your heart and it's desire.  We all must suffer pains that are unjust, offer them up so I may use them for the salvation of souls.  Keep looking into my eyes as you look upon others, see the scars and see Me.

Dear Father, I pray for souls this morning that are feeling persecuted by this world, that are feeling lost and lonely.  Help them see the comfort in knowing and loving You.  There is a joy and a peace in knowing you are loved by the Triune God.  Thank You Father for speaking into my spirit today, for the graces provided at mass and for the blessings that this day will bring.  Prayers for a 16 year old young man who is troubled, you know the story Lord, heal him from the inside out.  Triune God be my all! Triune God be my all! Triune God be my all!  Amen.

Psalms 2 - The Holy Mountain

""But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain."

Worship the LORD with reverence And rejoice with trembling. Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!"  Psalms‬ ‭2:6, 11-12‬

Psalms 2 - The Holy Mountain.  I was on the holy mountain and have not left it.  You witness the power of God with the crack in the earth that is below it.  I am speaking of Golgotha, the place that Jesus was crucified.  It was our sin that hung Him on the cross and it is His power that saves us from ourselves.  Knowing who saved you, being on the mountain and always taking refuge in this understanding allows us to go into the world and witness the power of God.  The kings of this world tried to kill Him and He rose from the dead.  Be at peace in knowing and living this, He died for you.

What is God saying to me: My Son did not die in vain, you being on the Holy Mountain was not a chance encounter, this experience will stay with you forever.

Dear Father, You provide vivid images this morning as we pray, You reveal Jesus within the Psalms and Your salvation plan to all mankind.  Open up Your word to us and reveal truth, show us Your Son as the Word of God.  Prayers for a couple in desolation, may they encounter You in their relationship together and be reunited as they go on the way.  Help us experience Your awesome power for Your creation surrounds us everywhere we look.  Bless this day Father, and my we rejoice in loving You, Amen.

Psalms 1 - the way

"How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:1-2‬

Psalms 1 - the way.  Do I do my will or God's will, that is the decision this morning on what was next.  My will was Matthew, Mark, Luke or John, God's will was Psalms. I listened to God but He gave me free will to choose.  He recognizes those that are reading the word, are on "the way" and He allows us to chose.  The Pharisees chose the law but not the intent of God's word, we too can get lost.  If God is your counsel, then the voice will be tested including my voice.  Jesus's counsel was His Father, He did not stand in the way of sinners, He looked upon everyone with compassion and His delight was doing His Fathers will.  Take everything to prayer and consult Him and then follow His voice not the council of the wicked.

What is God saying to me:  I work in mysterious ways, you are responding to My voice and I understand your heart, in due time it will happen just stay on " the way"

Dear Father, You amaze me in so many ways each day, I thank You for being obedient to Your voice, for having ears to hear and eyes to see.  I pray for those in the council of the wicked, it sounds right but just doesn't pass the smell test. You allow us free will to chose, May we chose You over self.  Prayers for a young man giving his testimony today Lord, give him strength, wisdom and compassion as he speaks truth.  Watch over your people and give me wisdom as we walk in the book of Psalms over the coming months.  To You be the glory, Amen.

Deuteronomy 34 - Vision

"The LORD then said to him, This is the land about which I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, "I will give it to your descendants." I have let you see it with your own eyes, but you shall not cross over.

Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were undimmed and his vigor unabated.

Since then no prophet has arisen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,". ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭34:4, 7, 10‬

Deuteronomy 34 - Vision.  This is the last chapter of the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Bible.  I ponder this morning the vision that God gives us when we sit at His feet.  We each have the opportunity to sit face to face with God each day.  There is immeasurable peace when we begin our day and trust in the Lord for His vision.  There is a peace, that over time, penetrates all your circumstances.  In these five books is the words of everlasting life, the stories may be of old but they are also playing out in front of us day in and day out.  The same vigor is offered to us, to be given insight into the way forward.  And all you have to do is sit still, pray to our Father in Heaven and then listen.  Enjoy your day, it looks amazing!

What is God saying to me: You listen, I speak, tomorrow we will begin a new adventure that will continue your lessons within the scriptures.  Jesus learned in much the same way only without sin in His life.

Dear Father, I thank You for the peace that comes with listening to You.  I see the dangers of not listening to You for we all hear but not all follow Your voice.  I thank You Father for the friendships that have been given, the rivers of life flowing out of those listening to You.  Thank You for the joy that resides on the inside, I know this is a grace that is given when we sit at your feet.  Prayers for a friend experiencing pain, I ask for healing in these situations.  I thank You for the day, I thank You for the teachers that have been given, may i take what has been given and return it multiplied to You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 33 - a firm foundation.

"Happy are you, Israel! Who is like you, a people delivered by the LORD, Your help and shield, and the sword of your glory. Your enemies cringe before you; you stride upon their backs." Deuteronomy‬ ‭33:29‬

Deuteronomy 33 - a firm foundation.  Moses blessed the tribes of Israel.  Would life be easy for them in the promised land?  Moses knew they would face many challenges but he also knew they had been prepared by his example of walking with God.  Life will throw us challenges and with God, even though they are painful there is also a sense of peace.  Learning to be happy in the circumstances is a grace, maybe happy isn't the right word, joyful is better.  The enemy cringes because he knows those that walk with Christ can not be defeated yet he will try and break you.  Jesus was lowered into a dark, cold, dreary prison and left alone, yet He knew He was loved by His Father.  No matter the outcome He would be taken care.  And He was for He defeated the evil one and rose from the dead on Easter morning.  In all situations give God thanks for He is doing a mighty work in You, He is at work, trust in Him and walk with Him thru life.

What is God saying to me:  Words can not describe the picture I am giving you but you also convey the message all is well when you walk with Me, be at peace and sing My praises even in the storm.

Dear Father, You have placed many situations before me this morning and my heart just wants to sing Your praises, it wants to give what Moses gave, nothing but blessings.  You are faithful God and none of the trials that we encounter will hurt us when we walk with You.  Prayers of strength for those being tempted, prayers of joy for those feeling alone, prayers of courage for those feeling fearful.  You are my foundation Lord, You are in the boat and we are at peace.  Bless this day Lord, May it produce the yield that You desire and may I be a blessing in Your Kingdom this day.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 32 - the song of Moses

"For I will proclaim the name of the LORD, praise the greatness of our God!

Surely, the LORD will do justice for his people; on his servants he will have pity. When he sees their strength is gone, and neither bond nor free is left,

See now that I, I alone, am he, and there is no god besides me. It is I who bring both death and life, I who inflict wounds and heal them, and from my hand no one can deliver."
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭32:3, 36, 39‬

Deuteronomy 32 - the song of Moses.  If you close your eyes and listen, you will see Moses speak the truth that God gave him.  You will hear God speak thru his humble servant who has learned many lessons in life.  This is Moses lamentation, for he would not go into the promised land, he would climb Mount Nebo and go be with his ancestors.  Moses knew the pitfalls of life, he learned the lessons and he could see what faced us.  History has a way of repeating itself, the most valuable lesson is "The Rock—how faultless are his deeds, how right all his ways! A faithful God, without deceit, just and upright is he!" Deuteronomy‬ ‭32:4‬.  Moses walked away from God in his life but knew that true happiness was walking with God, in trusting Him with all.  Listen to the songs below and hear what God is speaking to you.

Come Holy Spirit, inflame the hearts of your people.  Speak truth and give us ears to hear and eyes to see.  Bless this day Lord, strengthen each of us for the task at hand, You are Mighty God and we are but your humble servants.  Prayers for all those in the storm, may they have faith that all will be well even though the boat is being tossed about.  Amen.

Deuteronomy 31 - Fear the Lord

"The LORD said to Moses, Soon you will be at rest with your ancestors, and then this people will prostitute themselves by following the foreign gods among whom they will live in the land they are about to enter. They will forsake me and break the covenant which I have made with them.

then, when great evil and distress befall them, this song will speak to them as a witness, for it will not be forgotten if their descendants recite it. For I know what they are inclined to do even at the present time, before I have brought them into the land which I promised on oath."  ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:16, 21‬

Deuteronomy 31 - fear the Lord.  How true are God's words today?  Very true, we are surrounded by foreign gods vying for our attention.  Watch the innocence of a child, what are they inclined to do, given enough time they will do wrong, we grow up and become adults.  It is easy to do the wrong thing, to follow false gods, it takes effort to follow God. It takes our will power, our conscious effort to listen and obey.  God knows what we are inclined too but He also knows that this is a trap that we do not want a part of.  Our souls yearn to be united with God and they will return home.  Our senses can not get to the point that they become dull and ignore His voice.  True happiness is found in the arms of our Father in Heaven, it is there that we find rest.  Work out your salvation, fear God and live.

What is God saying to me: I speak to your heart and in the silence you listen.  It is in sitting still, feeling My breath penetrate your lungs that you have life and are dependent upon Me to live.  I love you, My son, enjoy your day, I go before you, preparing the way.
Dear Father, I see the innocence of a child's face just wanting to return home to You.  I pray for all those who mock You and are following false gods, I do not wish evil upon them, may they get to the point in life that their desire is for Truth and hear the song of Moses.  To amend their lives and turn from a life of sin to You, ever lasting life.  I pray for all those considering abortion today, may their reality be that of their own breath, it is given by You Father.  Prayers for those trying to understand why, trust in God and find rest.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 30 - Free will

"I call heaven and earth today to witness against you: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Choose life, then, that you and your descendants may live, by loving the LORD, your God, obeying his voice, and holding fast to him. For that will mean life for you, a long life for you to live on the land which the LORD swore to your ancestors, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them."  ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:19-20

Deuteronomy 30 - Free will.  The greatest gift God gave us is His Son, the second greatest gift He gave us is free will.  We all get to choose our path in life and God gives us the freedom to do so.  Applied knowledge is power, there comes a point in a persons life that their way without God is the wrong way.  His voice begins to penetrate through the darkness and we are given the freedom to choose life again.  Live, laugh and love, the greatest of these is love.  "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life." John‬ ‭3:16‬  Chose life.

What is God saying to me: you hear well and experience the calmness upon the ocean when you are in the boat, listening and following My voice.  Enjoy your day, it is blessed.

Dear Father, You paint an image of tranquility this morning, there is peace in my life and the desire to go to You with all.  I thank You for this grace, for the Joy of knowing You, loving You and serving You.  Prayers for a family in rocky oceans, may they see the peaceful waters when You are in the boat with them.  Thank You for traveling with us today, being our guide and speaking truth through others.  May we always be attentive to Your voice God and may our wills be one.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Deuteronomy 29 - Listen to His authority here on earth.

"they and all the nations will ask, "Why has the LORD dealt thus with this land? Why this great outburst of wrath?" And they will say, "Because they abandoned the covenant of the LORD, the God of their ancestors, which he had made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt, and they went and served other gods and bowed down to them, gods whom they did not know and whom he had not apportioned to them. So the anger of the LORD flared up against this land and brought on it every curse written in this book."  ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭29:23-26‬

Deuteronomy 29 - the curse.  On the day that God gave Moses His authority to speak on His behalf, Moses was also speaking about us, future generations.  There is purpose in God's authority, we will see how God deals with those that follow falsehoods for it is playing out in front of us.  God will dismantle their gods and make their land a wasteland.  I have seen Christ walk out of the tomb and give us life, His words are everlasting.  "For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink."  ‭‭John‬ ‭6:55‬.  His word is being fulfilled before us, He is making all things new for in the groaning, a new world is being brought to life, one that honors Him and Him alone.

What is God saying to me:  Listen to the bird singing this morning, it's life is perfect, why?  Because it is living My will for it, no care in the world for it is honoring Me in song.

Dear Father, You always know best and we begin again.  I thank You for the glimpses into current events that go back to the days of Moses.  You are laying waste a land that turned away from Your covenant.   You are drawing all those that are in turmoil, not knowing which way is forward, to the true authority, Your voice in the wilderness.  I thank You for answered prayers in the life of a young lady and her family.  You always give the best gifts!  Prayers for a husband who is watching his wife pass before his eyes from cancer, give him strength to carry this cross.  Bless this day Lord, may I do as the song bird did this morning, Your will this day.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 28 - Love God. He Loves You!

"The LORD will open up for you his rich storehouse, the heavens, to give your land rain in due season and to bless all the works of your hands. You will lend to many nations but borrow from none. The LORD will make you the head not the tail, the top not the bottom, if you obey the commandments of the LORD, your God, which I am giving you today, observing them carefully, not turning aside, either to the right or to the left, from any of the words which I am giving you today, following other gods and serving them."  ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:12-14‬

Deuteronomy 28 - Love God.  Is there anything worst than death? Read Deuteronomy 28:15-69, that is worst than death.  God clearly gives us blessings when we honor and obey Him.  The commandments He gives are for our health and well being. He also warns us if we don't.  Yes, you may go through life not experiencing these things but the calamity will come, He speaks clearly.  There is a richness at His feet each day, knowing that God has your back, the fear goes away, anxieties die down and go away.  The blessings are free for the taking and they prepare you for what is to come.  You may be perfectly fine without God but that "god" never satisfies.  With God you live life to the fullest and it is an amazing life!!  His store house is rich with many things.

What is God saying to me: Stay the course, be obedient to my voice and trust in where I am sending you, it is a beautiful picture once it has been completely painted.

Dear Father, there is a joy within this morning sitting at your feet.  There is a joy in walking with You each day as You guide my steps.  There is freedom in being able to speak truthfully and I am not being burdened down by falsehood.  As You know I am still a work in progress but You are by my side.  Prayers this morning for those who have wandered off into the wilderness may they be brought back in a loving and caring way.  There is a richness in living with You that words do not do it justice.  Thank You Father for the blessings and knowing You will not allow anything to happen that will not make me better.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 27 - Blessings and Curses

"and you shall build there an altar to the LORD, your God, an altar made of stones that no iron tool has touched. You shall build this altar of the LORD, your God, with unhewn stones, and shall offer on it burnt offerings to the LORD, your God. You shall also offer communion sacrifices and eat them there, rejoicing in the presence of the LORD, your God. On the stones you shall inscribe all the words of this law very clearly."  Deuteronomy‬ ‭27:5-8

Deuteronomy 27 - Blessings or Curses.  We all want the blessings and no one wants the curses but in this world we get both.  "When all these things, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, come upon you, and you take them to heart in any of the nations where the LORD, your God, has dispersed you, and return to the LORD, your God, obeying his voice, according to all that I am commanding you today, you and your children, with your whole heart and your whole being,". ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:1-2‬.  Do you take them all to the Lord?  The blessings are easy,  for you are giving thanks but what about the curses?  Sitting with God and talking about the difficult things are not easy for we are hurt, we feel the pain, so does He.  Our human nature wants to punish, to be mad, to fight back but that doesn't heal the wound.  Having a heart to heart with God who should be the center of your life is the answer.  The stones are your heart, the place of worship is your heart even the painful things.  Offer them up as a sacrifice, He knows your pain, He gave us His Son, who walks with us and He died on the cross so we could be redeemed.   We all want the sunshine but into every life a little rain will come.

What is God saying to me

Dear Father, these ain't easy things to talk about, I see the hurt and the desire to understand but words can not heal only You can heal.  It is knowing that You also endured epain for our sake that we too can rejoice when we see the light of day.  Father heal the pain, breath new life into all that are tired of fighting.  There is a joy in accepting the reality of the situations and trusting in You that You know best.  Thank You Father for sitting with me this morning and working with me.  Take me into this day so I may glorify You in all that I am.  Prayers for a clear path forward on a project.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 26 - Withholding from God

Today you have accepted the LORD's agreement: he will be your God, and you will walk in his ways, observe his statutes, commandments, and ordinances, and obey his voice. And today the LORD has accepted your agreement: you will be a people specially his own, as he promised you, you will keep all his commandments, and he will set you high in praise and renown and glory above all nations he has made, and you will be a people holy to the LORD, your God, as he promised."  ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:17-19‬

Deuteronomy 26 - Withholding from God.  We all want the blessings but do we do what we have agreed to do as followers of Christ Jesus.  Do we give of our tithes, first fruits, to those in need?  Do we observe His statues and commandments and obey His voice?  Or is that just not necessary is this day and age because we know better than God.  When we withhold from God, we also tie His hands.  The secret in my opinion is giving thanks when you awake, giving Him the best part of your day.  To listen to Him when you are weak, you can never out give God.  Blessings come in many forms, it can be the grace to accept the circumstance or the grace to trust in Him and not let fear or doubt creep in.  Do not tie His hands, His gifts are way much better than we can realize.

What is God saying to me: I see your weakness, listen to me and I will give you the strength you need.  It is a battle that is easily won, when you listen and follow.

Dear Father, I sit in the stillness and see You being battered about, I see the pain it is causing to You and others.  Help me this day be the man that I need to be, help me avoid the near occasion of sin, I want to observe all of Your statues and commandments, it is Your strength that allows me to do that.  Prayers Father for so many this morning dealing with the harshness of life, You know all of their circumstances, I thank You for the graces that are being given to them in these trials.  You are greater than all our circumstances.  Watch over us this day and keep us safe.  I ask this in Jesus's name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 25 - Will you walk with Me?

"Therefore, when the LORD, your God, gives you rest from all your enemies round about in the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you to possess as a heritage, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under the heavens. Do not forget!"  ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭25:19‬

Deuteronomy 25 - Will you walk with Me?  That is the question Jesus asks this morning.  Life isn't fair and we are not all dealt with the same cup but many have moved on from these periods of their life and it has made them better people.  They are more compassionate and giving of their time, talent and treasure.  Never forget where you come from but also remember you are a child of the King, He gives you glory and hope. He asks each of us to walk with Him, to be His hands, His smile, His caring touch, to be His voice and speak the truth.  Will you walk with Him today?

What is God saying to me: I have shown you many things, there is more to come.  Digest what has been given.

Dear Father, there is profound gratitude this morning for being able to sit and listen.  I am thankful for all Your children who are living the gospels, giving of themselves and caring for one another.  May You use me today in whatever way You need, I am at Your call to serve.  Help us see the joy of living Your will in our lives, there is laughter, excitement, anticipation, even in the trials there is joy for You are with us.  Prayers for a friend this morning, may you bless her on her walk today.  Thank You Father, I will walk with You today.  Amen.

Deuteronomy 23 - You are holy

"Since the LORD, your God, journeys along in the midst of your camp to deliver you and to give your enemies over to you, your camp must be holy, so that he does not see anything indecent in your midst and turn away from you."  ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭23:15‬

Deuteronomy 23 - You are holy.  Moses had to insure the Holy of Holies stayed clean and pure so he gave instruction to the Israelites on how they could conduct themselves and be dedicated to this way of life.  Jesus gives us the new covenant and the joy of keeping the temple pure and holy, this falls upon each of us.  As you read Deuteronomy 23, these are the words Moses gives each of us as we prepare ourselves to enter the Holy of Holies on the Lord's day.  We have been given Jesus, the Triune God to be blessed by Him and to be cleansed by Him so we may enter.  Then we carry Him into the world giving away what He has given, using the salt to flavor our own lives and those that we encounter.  Be blessed today that we do not have to live under the old temple rules yet we are required to honor the spirit of them in our daily lives.  "Speak to the whole Israelite community and tell them: Be holy, for I, the LORD your God, am holy." ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭19:2‬

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, it has been a journey the past several weeks experiencing life and culture of all of Your creation.  I  am blessed to be able to experience all of this and continue to walk in Your midst.  Thank You for the wonderful time spent with family, hearing stories that have defined who I am as a person and how You are using each of us to be the salt in a world that can become overpowered by the lack of Your Spirit.  Prayers for a friend that has some medical difficulties may they be nothing and life continue as normal.  Watch over each of us Lord and continue to draw us to You.  I ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Deuteronomy 22 - Be not double minded.

"You shall not sow your vineyard with two different kinds of seed, or else its produce shall become forfeit, both the crop you have sown and the yield of the vineyard. You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey harnessed together. You shall not wear cloth made from wool and linen woven together."
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭22:9-11‬

Deuteronomy 22 - be not double minded.  As we read God's word, we can take it out of context to justify our way of thinking but we must be able to see the message that God is giving.  "And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing." ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:2‬   Where love exists, hate can not reside.  It is in the depths of our soul that His spirit speaks to us.  We can fault our neighbor for their wrong doing but first we must examine ourselves and in doing so we will understand where knowledge comes from.  "But when they continued asking him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.""  John‬ ‭8:7‬  It is not the letter of the law that God gives us but the spirit of the law, lay it down and love thy neighbor as thyself.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, I see a man with a bullhorn preaching not seeing his own fault, I love him anyway.  I see a people at odds with each other because they do not agree, I shall love them anyway.  I see the joy of being in unity with you, to realize that in understanding our own faults we are drawn closer to you and can forgive others.  Thank You Father for the insights and the changes that are happening, You are love and You are in me.  Thank You Father for the victories in lives that are living for You, I see a world with hope and a future that will bring about Your Kingdom.  You are removing all obstacles to a holy life that honors You as our neighbor.   In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Deuteronomy 21 - God tells our story

"his corpse shall not remain on the tree overnight. You must bury it the same day; anyone who is hanged is a curse of God. You shall not defile the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you as a heritage."
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭21:23‬

Deuteronomy 21 - God tells our story.  Washed by the blood of the Lamb, that is your heritage.  God knows your story for He has lived it in the flesh.  To know that God willing became cursed for our sins, foretold the story knowing He would be hanged on a tree then willingly stepped forward, that is love.  Jesus knew scripture, He knew that He would have to hang on a tree, He knew He would be buried to give you life, that is love and that is your heritage.  A life with freedom, knowing God loves you that much.  Go take on the day and be blessed, you are known by Him.

What is God saying to me: You are surrounded by love in the land of your childhood, claim your heritage and be blessed today, spreading joy and My hope.  All is well with You for I live on the inside.

Dear Father, I am blessed this morning to be at home with You.  I am blessed to wake with You in my thoughts, and on my lips.  Thank You Father for this grace, to wake completely rested and to be at peace.  Prayers for the day, may we accomplish what You have intended, help us live the life that You have given and to not defile the land we occupy nor those we encounter today.  Prayers for those who lack understanding and are getting caught up in the noise of the world, may they hear You calling them.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 20 - Be not afraid

"When you go out to war against your enemies and you see horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, you shall not be afraid of them, for the LORD, your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, will be with you. When you are drawing near to battle, the priest shall come forward and speak to the army, and say to them, "Hear, O Israel! Today you are drawing near for battle against your enemies. Do not be weakhearted or afraid, alarmed or frightened by them. For it is the LORD, your God, who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies and give you victory."" ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭20:1-4‬

Deuteronomy 20 - Be not afraid.  You have walked with Me this morning and there is nothing to fear.  As you travel witness My creation in your presence and be blessed by their spirit.  I go before you preparing the way, your encounter may be for a minute, an hour, an evening, a day or a lifetime but in those encounters radiate the love that I have for you to others.  We all need to encounter Jesus Christ so that My spirit may emanate  through the body of Christ and cast out demons.   ""Behold, I am sending you like sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and simple as doves." Matthew‬ ‭10:16‬

What is God saying to me: Live the love that I give you, see those worshipping My Father and help them see Me in you.  I Am greater than all your fears, lay it all down and enjoy the beauty and the memories.

Dear Father God, I am blessed with tremendous memories and laughter playing in my spirit.  I thank You Father for encountering various cultures, practices and giving what You have given us.  I see Jesus walking about being True Man and not condemning others, not falling victim to the schemes of the world but living a life filled with the Holy Spirit, meeting people where they are at and encountering them.  Prayers for a friend getting an operation today, prayers for a family separated by divorce, continue to draw them closer together Father through their children.  Our world needs You as a firm foundation.  Thank You Father for all that You are doing, help us tune out the noise and live in Peace for where You are is Peace.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 19 - Purge the evil from among you

"Thus you shall not show pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot." ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭19:21‬

Deuteronomy 19 - purge the evil from among you.  Have you ever felt the pain from something that was not your fault?  What about having your foundation torn apart at an early age?  It hurts having to witness that, you bury this memory only to live it out later in life.  Moses wasn't telling us to not show pity, to take life for life.  He understood the cause of pain and knew if we carried it, we would repeat it.  He tells us to purge the evil from amongst us.  The only way I know to do that is to cast all ourq cares upon the Lord.  Mary Magdalene felt the pain, Jesus could feel it but could also see a life that understood and could help others even to this day.  Spend time at the foot of the cross and speak with Jesus, He is the answer and the Healer.

What is God saying to me: You look into My eyes and see the pain, you see the loss.  You also know the joy, the victory over sin.  Be my witness amongst the nations.

Dear Lord God, You know my prayer this morning and those whom You have me praying for.  Help us all to avoid the near occasion of sin, for it lays a trap, to snare us and draw us in.  You loved each of us on the cross Lord, may we always turn to You and feel the love that You so want to give.  Stop the cycle of pain and help us find peace in our lives.  Give hope to the hopeless and renew our spirits that life is a joy to experience especially when we are walking with you. Bless this day Father, I look forward to looking into the eyes of others and seeing You.  To God be the glory now and forever, Amen.

Deuteronomy 18 - A dry and weary land

"You must be altogether sincere with the LORD, your God. Although these nations whom you are about to dispossess listen to their soothsayers and diviners, the LORD, your God, will not permit you to do so."
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭18:13-14‬

Deuteronomy 18 - A dry and weary land.  I sit and watch in a sea of people, a land parched that wanders aimlessly through life not realizing that their God is seeking them.  He sends messengers into the vastness to bring life, to show them the springs of living water.  God speaks to each of us, He is saying, change your ways, dispossess their soothsayers and diviner's that have steered you away.  Come to the oasis of God, sit and be refreshed, be real with God.  Tell Him what is going on, ask Him for help, He does not want you to be lost but to live, to be the salt within the sea.

What is God saying to me:  I speak, you listen and trust in my ways. Doors will be opened before you, all I ask is that you step through.

Dear Father, I close my eyes and recall fond memories, a land filled with milk and honey.  Today, I am being led by Your right hand trusting in where we are going.  Prayers for a group of friends going into the vastness, may they each be led by your right hand.  Prayers for those persecuted by their circumstances, may You be greater than all their troubles.  May we all learn to honor You each day and bring peace into our world.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 16 - The undefiled offering

"You shall offer the Passover sacrifice from your flock and your herd to the LORD, your God, in the place the LORD will choose as the dwelling place of his name."  Deuteronomy‬ ‭16:2‬

Deuteronomy 16 - The undefiled offering.  Jesus is the Passover sacrifice from His flock, the meal that is to be consumed, that nourishes us for the journey.  He gave of Himself freely that we may have eternal life with the Triune God.  All He asks of us is to believe, have faith in what He is asking and to give God away.  Jesus did just that as a man, not as God, you too are being asked, will you respond or will you stay quiet.  God chose you so He could reside in the temple of the Lord, you are His holy temple.  Offer up the Passover sacrifice and receive everlasting life, it requires a step of faith.

What is God saying to me: Now is the time to do your part on this pilgrimage, the journey will continue but will increase, you are never alone as you experienced, when you step out on faith, I show you My faithfulness.  Listen to the message and repeat.

Dear Father, my heart is filled with gratitude for the gift of life You have given us, for children laughing and playing being taught to become Your disciples.  We are blessed when we stand upon Your word and live in faith, help us this day give of ourselves, to be open and honest, to be the gift that You will become known in a greater way.  Prayers for friends with deep desires, bless them with answered prayers.  Thank You Father for always being out in front, may we see You at work in our world.  You are the Alpha and the Omega, fill us with Your Holy Spirit as we receive You this day. In Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 15 - Give and it will be given unto you.

"When you give, give generously and not with a stingy heart; for that, the LORD, your God, will bless you in all your works and undertakings." ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭15:10‬

Deuteronomy 15 - Give and it will be given unto you.  Do we see the needy, those that are struggling to move forward?  Are you willing to give a hand, to be by their side.  These are the ways that God asks us to serve His Kingdom.  Giving isn't always from financially treasure, your most valuable asset is your time and talent, given by our Heavenly Father.  Slow down this morning, listen to the song and allow God to minister to you.  In these ways God reaches out to those that love Him.  There is a joy in giving what has been given to you, in this way is Christ raised from the dead, from a cold tomb that radiates light.

https://youtu.be/16cSYU0rUpo

What is God saying to me: My voice resonates in your heart, the joys and the sufferings you are experiencing are for the glory of My Kingdom.  Sit and relax, breathe in My free gift and give it away.

Dear Lord God, it has been a peaceful morning full of memories as we walked together in the sorrowful way.  I watched as you struggled to get up the stairs, as You became short of breath and all I could do was be by Your side.  I thank You for this gift, for the many tremendous gifts You have given, may I take what You have given and give them back where they belong.  Prayers for all those this morning who are feeling lonely, may You radiate in their hearts and give them hope for a glorious day that awaits all who believe in You.  Bless this day Lord, may our activity be our prayer back to You.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
