Psalms 6 - The wilderness.

"Have pity on me, LORD, for I am weak; heal me, LORD, for my bones are shuddering."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭6:3‬

Psalms 6 - The wilderness.  "At once the Spirit drove him out into the desert, and he remained in the desert for forty days, tempted by Satan. He was among wild beasts, and the angels ministered to him." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:12-13‬.  No creature comforts just your thoughts and God.  Hunger pains nagging at you, the cold biting at you, it was no cake walk.  What did Jesus reflect upon when in the wilderness?  The words of His Father, the memories of the past, the joys and troubles of friends.  When He came out of the desert, He was stronger, His ministry began in ardent with Mary's encouragement.  Today is day one of forty, what desert are you retreating too, what strength are you asking for, what awaits beyond the desert for you?  What creature comforts are you giving up?

What is God saying to me: Come into the wilderness and experience what I did, listen and receive.  The day is coming where strength will be needed.

Dear Father, we begin another Lenten journey, You are by my side as we begin.  I pray for all surrounded by the world that they too be driven into the desert by Your Holy Spirit.  We are the cause of our own pain, You are the joy that fills the jars with new wine when we do as Jesus did.   Prayers for a family who lost a sweet lady that was filled with your Holy Spirit and is no longer in the wilderness  Come Lord Jesus come and renew the face of the earth, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Wisdom, pray for us.
St Joesph, Pray for us.
