Wednesday of Holy Week - Rabbi or Lord

"And while they were eating, he said, "Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me." Deeply distressed at this, they began to say to him one after another, "Surely it is not I, Lord?"

Then Judas, his betrayer, said in reply, "Surely it is not I, Rabbi?" He answered, "You have said so." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:21-22, 25‬

Wednesday of Holy Week - Rabbi or Lord.  The disciples all journeyed with Jesus, they all experienced the same miracles, they witnessed healings, they worshipped together, they all received the same love yet Judas doesn't see Jesus as Lord but as teacher.  Judas kept his distance and was seeking head knowledge, he hadn't let Jesus into his heart.  From your head to your heart is a long journey but a simple decision.  Has Jesus gone from being your teacher to your Lord.  Is there things in your life that you are willing to put in front of Jesus?  We have to make space for God in our lives otherwise we know about God but we do not know God in a personal way.  At some point we will be willing to sell out for something that looks more attractive, this is what happened to Judas.  He was going thru the motions but hadn't let God be his all.  Rabbi or Lord.

What is God saying to me:  I (Jesus) went to the temple not to be entertained or taught but to worship My Father in Heaven.  He is in My heart, there is unity with Us.

Dear Lord God, I am thankful this morning for all the blessings that these days are giving.  The blessing of time to enjoy each other's company, the blessing of simplicity to focus on what is truly important.  I am thankful for You being Lord of my life and for the opportunities that arise from that.  I thank You for the lessons that are being taught, the memories being made and for the laughter.  I pray for those journeying alone, may they feel Your love in their hearts and never be alone.  Prayers for those who call You Rabbi, may they see the things that You wish to show them to make that transition from Rabbi to Lord.  Bless this day Lord, may our efforts bring about a harvest that pleases You.  I ask this in the name of the Lord, Amen.
