Daily Thoughts - Stay the course

"At my first defense no one appeared on my behalf, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them! But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that through me the proclamation might be completed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was rescued from the lion's mouth." 2 Timothy 4:16-17
I listen to Paul's plight and in his troubles he never wavered. In his path there was clear direction. There are many things in this world that can lead us astray but within is this inner peace that leads you home with Christ at the center.
This inner peace will never fail you, it is you that will fail it. Yet the path still remains and we are welcomed once we begin again. In the silence, the beacon calls leading us home. Paul knew that this was his path, He knew that God was in control.
When the voice that is leading you is God, you will never be betrayed. The great migratory routes of the animals have a direction that they must follow. We as well once we have tasted God. It is in silence that Peace enters. Paul had a lot of time to consider his journey in life to be able to see the truth.
Dear Father God, You speak, I listen, always by my side. Each day brings about another opportunity to proclaim the greatest migratory route that is unique to each of us. May we hear You within and be guided home. In Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Queen of Peace, Pray for us.
St Joesph, pray for us.
St Luke, Pray for us.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
