Daily Thoughts - Preparation
"When he entered the house, the blind men approached him and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I can do this?" "Yes, Lord," they said to him. Then he touched their eyes and said, "Let it be done for you according to your faith."" Matthew 9:28-29
I was blind but now I can see. On our own without the help of God to see the word of God, we are blind to its reality. Seeking God to help and asking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit every time you sit in prayer opens your eyes to what Christ is saying.
Do you believe He can do this? The journey to Christ begins with simple steps and the first is faith. God can do all things but if we are closed to Him and His abilities, He can do nothing. Blindness comes in many forms, spiritual blindness is the worst. For though you can see, the world clouds your vision of the reality of God and who He is.
Journey into the heart of God with the faith of these two blind men, they sought Jesus out and asked for help.
Dear Father, I watch as you open up scripture and we go beyond the words with life lessons. I see the blind and the lost, the ones without hope not knowing how to seek. And you wash away my blindness with the words within Your holy book. Prayers for two blind men that have yet to seek the Son of David, may the pain of their blindness draw them to the Risen Lord. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
