Daily Thoughts - Preparation.
"A voice says, "Proclaim!" I answer, "What shall I proclaim?" "All flesh is grass, and all their loyalty like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower wilts, when the breath of the Lord blows upon it." "Yes, the people is grass! The grass withers, the flower wilts, but the word of our God stands forever."" Isaiah 40:6-8
Peace, in our Advent journey this is the week of peace. What brings about peace within us? I sat this morning pondering my own sinfulness and considered the things that I must continue to strive to do. That doesn't sound peaceful does it, but as I see progress, recognizing your own sinfulness is progress, the voice of God is becoming more apparent within. His word leaps off the page as I understand who's I Am.
Peace isn't the absence of sin, it is the knowledge that you belong to Him and together sin is being conquered and has been conquered. He did not die in vain for you or I.
Peace continues when there a no deliberate sin, otherwise we get to start again. Go forth this week in Peace, knowing you are hidden within the wounds of Christ and the price has been paid.
Dear Lord Jesus, we sit around the camp fire and it is like You are there. You love by Your presence in our lives. Make straight the paths so we too can proclaim from the mountain tops the glory of the Lord. Prayers of peace within souls being tormented by the evil one. Thank You Lord Jesus for keeping us warm, hide us within thy wounds. In Jesus name, Amen.
