Daily Thoughts - The Beginning.

 Daily Thoughts - The Beginning.

"In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood. You have also forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as sons: "My son, do not disdain the discipline of the Lord or lose heart when reproved by him; for whom the Lord loves, he disciplines; he scourges every son he acknowledges." Endure your trials as "discipline"; God treats you as sons. For what "son" is there whom his father does not discipline?"  ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭4‬-‭7‬

"Bless the Lord, my soul; all my being, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, my soul; and do not forget all his gifts,". ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103‬:‭1‬-‭2‬

We sit in the garden, God is with all of us and some are awake with Jesus and some are asleep.  Look around and at every turn there is the consequences of sin.  Jesus seen the destruction that was happening before his eyes and our eyes.  He also sees the love of His Father as He offered up the afflictions He endured for our salvation.

I am reminded this morning of two things:  "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭23‬.  The journey into the heart of God also contains suffering on this side of Heaven.  So as you travel thru your day, remember some are asleep to the reality of what is going on around. Stay prayed up and at all times Bless the Lord with the gift of self even if it hurts.

"O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and suffering of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world.
I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sins, the reunion of all Christians;  I offer them for the intentions of our Bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer and in particular for those recommended by  our Holy Father this month."  Prayers for a special intention in the sufferings of one of God's sons, Amen

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
