Daily Thoughts - The beginning.

Daily Thoughts - The beginning.

"In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth— and the earth was without form or shape, with darkness over the abyss and a mighty wind sweeping over the waters— Then God said: Let there be light, and there was light. God saw that the light was good. God then separated the light from the darkness. God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." Evening came, and morning followed—the first day."‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭5‬

God said.  I am struct by the contrast of God's words in the beginning of the Bible.  There is clear definition between them.  I am also struct by "God said", nothing happens until God said it.  We live in a world that denies the voice of God, in fact the world would tell us our lives are meaningless and we just wander about as being blown by the winds of times.  Look at the contrast of the worlds view and of God's intended view.

We each have a purpose, specifically chosen for this period of time.  Given free will to chose a path with meaning and purpose.  Not to feed self but to give back what one has been given.  God said so within His word.  Jesus is the Word of God.  Look at His life, look at why He came and what He did.  He stands in contrast to the world showing the way.  "God said", whose voice do you hear, it is a choice to follow God.

Dear Father God, Your voice is so clear, I know I speak much about this but You have given so much and I so little.  My thoughts, dreams and desires are from You, I trust in what You say.  I also trust in when I go astray it is You that will come to bring me back.  You said it within Your word.  Prayers for Your voice to be louder than the cry of the world, that the contrast of light and darkness to become real for those wandering about aimlessly without the rudder.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
