A Bible verse to begin or end the day with. Guided by the Holy Spirit, I publish a daily thought to help keep The Triune God in the center of my life and through out the day. I am not a biblical scholar just a normal guy that tries to live a Christ centered life. He will return, we are called to be His eyes, His hands, His feet, His Ears, His Voice and His Body. Jesus, I trust in You! "Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1 John 4:4b

Daily Thoughts 11-29-2017 Daniel 5:23
Look at me, look at what I have done? Isn't that what the king was saying when he praised his earthly gods. Pride and arrogance are not of God. As you travel about how many kings do you know that live in their own world and do not glorify God. Each day we are given opportunities to give glory to God. Do we stand up and honor God, who gives us life. Our mother Mary recognized where her blessings come from and glorifies God. "And Mary said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;" Luke 1:46 Do you proclaim the greatness of God, she engaged Jesus to get started at the wedding feast of Cana, John 2:1-12, May you follow her lead.
Dear Lord God, I love You. You always know what to say and when. You always know how to reach hearts that are stubborn and arrogant. May I be a willing participant in Your salvation plan. Thank You for each opportunity, may I not miss a one of them. It is You that gives me life and it is You that I want to magnify. May we each follow the example Your mother Mary gives us and may we follow her lead. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-27-2017 Psalms 21:2-3
Have you ever tried ignoring the Holy Spirit? How about arguing with Him? It doesn't work, He will not stop pursuing you until you respond. Maybe we think God isn't talking to us and He really doesn't want you to do what He is asking. Wrong. Nothing pleases God more than when we are obedient and respond to Him in the affirmative. So if God is asking you to do something, my suggestion would be to listen and respond. What ever you think the excuse is, He will overcome that. Grant God's hearts desire and yours, be obedient, and be amazed. What would life be like if the Virgin Mary, would of not responded as she did. Look what He did with a willing and faithful heart.
Dear Heavenly Father, help us see our joy comes from giving You away, from not hiding our treasure but in sharing it. You seek to bless us if we would listen to Your call and respond with "Yes". Lord, it is You I seek to please, You are my hearts desire, You are the Great Prize, May I not cover You up today but share You with joy. Thank You for the sense of peace and a willing heart today. Protect each of us and help us realize You will never stop seeking us out, the Shepherds job is not finished until all are within Your care. Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-27-2017 Luke 21:4
Black Friday, Cyber Monday, the message we hear this time of year is to consume. Will that one thing make you any happier, will it bring lasting enjoyment, probably not. In today's readings it speaks of sacrifice and with holding from one's self. Happiness isn't found in consumption, it is found in giving of self and self control, to not go beyond ones means. What gift are you going to give Christ this Christmas season that will get His attention? Something to ponder this morning.
Dear Lord God, help me ponder what I can do this season that will make a difference in the life of someone else. Help me not get weighed down with over consumption of stuff or food. May I offer from my livelihood and not my surplus. Help me focus on the coming of Jesus and help others see the joy that He brings with Him. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-26-2017 Mark 11:9
Have you stopped to think why you were created? Why are you here at this point in time? Was it just an accident and there really isn't any purpose? NO! God has purpose and reason for everything. We celebrate Christ the King Sunday today. We were created to Bless God and have dominion over everything on earth, to give honor to our Father in Heaven. Our lives have purpose as long as we are honoring God. Be part of the change, it is happening all around you, Bless God today and sing His praises. He is King and will return, will He find you doing what He created you for? It isn't to be the best accountant in the world unless you are honoring God with His gifts and singing His praises.
Dear Lord God, You are the King of my heart, and give you authority and heed Your commands, not always perfectly but with an honest effort. May we be still today and reflect upon Your creation and enjoy its beauty. May we tune out the world from trying to interfere with Your plan and may we honor You with the gifts You have given us. I will sing with my life today as best as I know how. I want to be part of the winds of change that call in Your triumphant return. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-25-2017 Luke 20:36
Does death scare you? We should not fear death for Jesus tells us we can not die. You believe in Jesus, you walk with Him each day and you try to do the best that you can with whatever God gives you. Does it not say in the Bible, "Fear not for I am with you", Isaiah 43:5. It is the unknown that causes us turmoil. Know this, Jesus conquered death so you too will rise with Him. If Christ is in you and you believe, it is not possible for Him to die again. "Our God is a God who saves; escape from death is the LORD God's." Psalms 68:21. Be at peace today for God goes before you.
Dear Heavenly Father, You know our anxieties and You also know how to speak to us. Help us overcome what causes us fear. Breath new life into us so we may spread Your word with joy, love and compassion. Help us see those that are struggling and allow us the opportunity to help. Bless this day with peace, Bless families that are facing difficult decisions, Bless each of us with Your mercy. I thank You God for breath in my lungs, may I do Your will today. Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-24-2017 Luke 19:45-46
"If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy." 1 Corinthians 3:17. As I think about Jesus cleaning house, I can't help but think it is my heart that is being cleansed. You are the temple of God, when Jesus enters in, do we give Him authority. Do we listen to Him and obey Him. His purpose and that of the Saints is to get us to heaven. It is us who must decide, do we allow sin to destroy His temple or do we stand with open arms inviting Him in? Open the doors to your temple and allow Jesus to drive out what doesn't belong there.
Dear Lord God, my doors are wide open, remove what doesn't glorify You. Cleanse me from the inside out. You have created this temple in Your image, restore it to its rightful owner, You. I give You complete authority. May we recognize when the thief is trying to enter and may You block Him from soiling Your holy ground. Make my temple a house of worship all the days of my life. In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-22-2017 Luke 19:20
As a child I was baptized into God's Kingdom, He gave each of us the keys to His Kingdom in our baptism and then we grow up in a world that preaches against Him. What are you doing with your gold coins? Is it stored away to return to God or are you increasing what was given? Each day God challenges us to go into the world and share the joy of living a Christian life. It is in the simple things, a conversation, the sign of the cross, blessings before meals, giving to someone in need, listening to a friend, helping with the kids. The list goes on and on. When we are faithful in small things God increases what He gives us.
"But they said to him, 'Sir, he has ten gold coins.' I tell you, to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away."

Daily Thoughts 11-21-2017 Luke 19:5-6
Jesus calls another man to Him, yesterday it was the blind man, today it is Zacchaeus. They both said yes, they both received Him with joy. I reflect upon this grace of joy and the love that is instilled within each of us to seek salvation. This is where we find true happiness, following Christ and doing His will.
Dear Lord God, my heart is full this morning, I bless You and praise You with my "yes" today. I will receive You with joy today. Guide me today, lead me today and help me focus only on today. Forgive me Lord for my transgressions and help me understand what seems like punishment is really only discipline. You are The Loving Father guiding His Sons and Daughters to eternity. Praise be Your Holy Name. Amen.

Jesus knows our pains, our joys, our burdens and what blinds us. Even though He is close, He waits for us to call out to Him. He so much wants to give us the cure but we have to ask. He wants us to draw near. We have to seek Him and speak to Him. Each day Jesus draws near, do we listen for Him as He approaches, do we call out and repent, do we ask for what we want Him to do for us? Or are we the ones in the crowd telling others to be silent, don't make a fool of yourself. The world is in need of more to speak out, to shout out, Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!

Has your faith ever been challenged, do you question God on what He is doing? I can answer the affirmative to both of these. But I always come back to the fact that God created the universe, He made us out of dust so I have learned to trust His judgement. I have learned to turn to Him each day and thank Him for the day ahead. I let Him deal with tomorrow, I will focus on this day and praise God with my actions. Not always understanding why but moving forward in faith. I think this is what God asks of each of us, will you accept His will for you? If you do then He will find faith upon His return for you are living by it.

Who is it the follows the perfect will of God? Who was the person in God's Word that was pure and female? Who did not let anything undefiled enter into her? Our Blessed Mother Mary. She is the perfect example of Christian living. She is the created immaculate conception. As we are called to be saints and she followed the perfect will of God next to her son, Jesus. Why would we not unite ourselves to Mary, a Mother always wants the best for her children. Let the wisdom of God guide you and allow Mary to help you.
Dear Heavenly Father, Your Word opens up doors within my thinking. May I bless and honor You today with the knowledge that You provide. May I continue to listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and may I strive to be a saint. Forgive me Lord, when I fall short and give me comfort in knowing that You love me, even in my faults. Lord be with those that are enduring hardships, help them see Your love in action and comfort them in their earthly pain. I ask this in Your most Holy Name, Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-14-2017 Luke 17:10
Have you ever done all the right things expecting an outcome for doing what you were asked only to find out the outcome was not what you expected. Our reward isn't here on earth but in Heaven. We are to do what is asked of us and expect nothing in return. We are to live a life dedicated to God and expect nothing in return. We are to live this day and thank God when He gives us another. The goal is to be an unprofitable servant, always willing and always ready to do what the Master asks.
Lord, may everything we do this day begin with Your blessing and continue with Your help. May everything we say this day begin with Your love and continue with Your grace. May everything we plan this day begin with Your inspiration and continue with Your peace. Amen.
Prayer to St. Columban

Daily Thoughts 11-13-2017 Luke 17:6
God gives us the ability to believe, to receive His message into our being, process the thoughts and then act upon them. His message must be united with our faith and belief. When this occurs there is an outcome, a result in our spirit and then a result in the physical. Ye of little faith, He tells us to believe, to trust in Him and we are to respond. The idea must be conceived, united with God and the result is a combination of our faith and the ability of God. Never underestimate what God is capable of, He does move mountains, He does uproot trees. These things appear immovable but in reality God and you together can reshape the landscape of your life. Believe!
Dear Heavenly Father, You are beautiful, You are amazing, You are overwhelming, You are Love. Help with my unbelief. You already see the outcome, share a glimpse of that so I may see what you see. You are greater than any problem that I have. Help me live that joy today so the mustard seed continues to grow. Watch over Your children this week, answer prayers this week and more than anything save those that are lost, bring them home to You. Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-12-2017 Wisdom 6:14-15
If you look at the saints they contemplated on the mysteries of God. They spent time each day with God, they developed their discipline a little each day, their lamps and hearts were full. On the other hand one could just roll into the day and let time slip away not realizing they were missing the purpose of life. To know God and love God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind. Free will allows each of us to choose, will we be like the virgins ready to receive Him or the ones with their lamps half full and caught off guard?
Dear Lord God, Wisdom speaks to each of us. May we listen to her and be ready for Your triumphant return. May I seek You in the morning and throughout the day, may I heed Your call and not be anxious about anything. I thank You for the wisdom and guidance You provide. I thank You for the love shown thru others, may I share as their innocent little hearts do. In Jesus name, Amen.

Are we not all called to follow Jesus? Is this only on Sundays or does God want us to be like Him 24/7. I am amazed by some who think nothing of taking advantage of others and they expect God to bless them. It is Jesus who will be there on the day of judgement, will He see His reflection.
Dear Lord God, I am not who You want me to be but I know I am closer today than I was yesterday. Continue to transform me into Your image, guide me today through Your Mother Mary. Thank You for the graces You reveal, thank You for the blessings this week. I pray for those that seek riches through ill gain, may they see this does not glorify You. Daily Thoughts 11-10-2017 Luke 16:8
The master knew their debt and am sure wanted paid. The steward knew he was in trouble for he wasn't doing what he was called to do. The stewards actions were very self-serving, yet the Master was pleased with the outcome. Why do we wait to be in trouble before we try and resolve the problem. If the steward would have focused on his master and not himself, he would of not gotten into that predicament.. Consider what you do for Christ, are they self serving to save yourself or are you doing it for the glory of God? Do what God calls you to do and do not consider the outcome to be yours. In reality it isn't you doing it.
Dear Lord God, all that I am and all that I do, I offer to You through Your mother Mary.. This day belongs to You, I will not count the outcome for that is serving me. You take care of the robins and what they are to eat, I thank You for taking care of me. May I be a prudent servant that does not squander Your good gifts today. I pray for those souls that are lost and do not know You, bring them home Lord so they know the love You have for them. I ask this in Jesus's name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 11-9-2017 Ezekiel 47:12
"For the temple of God, which you are, is holy." 1 Corinthians 3:17. What feeds you? Where do you turn for nourishment and fulfillment? Jesus is the only one who satisfies and He cleanses from the inside out. You are the temple, He prepares you to produce the fruit and grow the leaves. God knows who NEEDS the fruit and who needs the healing. You are the temple of God, God refreshes the soul and prepares the ground to produce good. His vine that He nourishes always produces good fruit, it never fails. Offer up these sacrifices to the ones that only our Holy Family knows who needs help most. Go be who God is preparing you to be.
Dear Heavenly Father, Your words refreshes the soul, help me invite You in to the inner room so You May prepare me for Your future. I offer up this day for those souls that need it most, only You know who they are. I trust in Your Divine Providence, Be my help, my guide, my nourishment so through You, You will produce what benefits Your Kingdom. Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.

Daily Thoughts 11-8-2017 Luke 14:33
Have you considered the cost of following Jesus? There is nothing that you bring with you that Jesus needs other than your heart. What we posses has been given to us by God and even that isn't enough. It is supernatural grace that we need, are you prepared to receive it? Are we willing to renounce all that we are to receive this grace and follow Jesus. Without laying down our lives we can not be one of His disciples. Our dependence is not on our possessions but upon God, He will provide all that we need. With God there is no plan B, you just take what He gives you as long as you are doing your part.
This is my prayer this morning, Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.
Jesus gave himself completely to Mary in the incarnation and we are to imitate Christ. God trusted Mary to carry Him for nine months, feed and nourish Him. We are each called to imitate Christ, this includes His love for our Blessed Mother Mary.

All are invited but few will attend. What are the ways we reject Christ and His teachings. As you ponder upon this they all come back to sin. Christ has prepared a place for each of us, each day we choose our path, will we accept His invitation or will we reject it. Do you reject satan and all his evil works? Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary was crucified, died, and was buried, rose from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father? Live the life God calls you to, a life free of sin and a desire to please Him. Ask for help, He will answer you.
I, (name), a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in thy hands, the vows of my Baptism. I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works, and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.
Come Holy Spirit living in Mary, give me the grace to reject Satan and follow Christ more closely.

Daily Thoughts 11-7-2017 John 8:31-32
Jesus teaches His followers the pathway to freedom.. Have you thought about who taught Jesus? Was He born with all this knowledge and it came to Him naturally? I am sure He was born with the desire to know but I believe He had to work at it, He had to sit in quiet contemplation and listen. His first teacher was His mother and His father. They brought Him to the temple to be consecrated to God. It was their responsibility to teach Him the laws of Moses. They were his first teachers along with the Holy Spirit. They were the first ones to love Him and Mary was there in the beginning and she was there in the end when He died on the cross.
Dear Heavenly Father, May Your Holy Spirit guide us to all truth and knowledge of Your Son Jesus. Help us know Him and love Him more deeply. May we learn as He learned, may we honor those He loved as He did. May we build a monument to You in our hearts. Send us Your Holy Spirit to guide us and teach us all truth and knowledge. Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.

Psalms 93:1
"Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted." Matthew 23:12
Look at what began in such a humble setting, our Lord Jesus robed in majesty, laying in a manger. He never sought to be exalted, all He sought was His Fathers will. How did these settings define who Jesus was, how did it define the Holy Family? What about your beginnings, how has that defined who you are. All of us came into this world with nothing, what we had growing up was given to us by our parents. Be thankful for what God provided for you, this makes you who you are, what you do with it will define you. Do not forget, we all leave the same way so no one is better than the other.
Dear Heavenly Father, May I never forget where I came from. May I live my life in the way my parents taught me to live. You never exalted Yourself and always looked out for others. May I follow Your example. I ask my Spiritual Mother Mary, to guide each of us closer to her Son Jesus these next 33 days as we prepare to celebrate Your birth day. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
