Daily Thought 11-19-2017 Psalms 128:3-4

Blessed are those who fear the Lord
"Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your home, Your children like young olive plants around your table. Just so will the man be blessed who fears the LORD." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭128:3-4‬

I am sitting in a hotel this morning watching families stroke by enjoying the surroundings.   I wonder how many are preparing their families for the coming Christ?  Is it more important to get a cup of coffee or go to church.  As I grew up I had a healthy fear of my father, it wasn't fear, it was love.  I wanted to make him proud and do what he asked but I also knew the consequences of not doing it, this was the fear.  If families don't believe it important to raise their children loving God by setting the example, they will realize the consequences for these decisions.  The devil is roaming about seeking to devour those that are weak, He looks for the ones that are hiding their talents.  God wants to protect them but He also allows us free will to make up our minds.

Dear Lord God, I will not refuse You, I will go where You want me to go, I will do what You want me to do.  I am an instrument in the Masters hands, use me as you please.  Bless families to realize the importance of growing their faith.  Help them see the changing of the world and the talents that they have been given are to be nurtured and grown not left in the dark.  I ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of the Holy Family, pray for us.

Come Mary, living in Christ.
