"for those others have all made offerings from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has offered her whole livelihood." Luke 21:4
Black Friday, Cyber Monday, the message we hear this time of year is to consume. Will that one thing make you any happier, will it bring lasting enjoyment, probably not. In today's readings it speaks of sacrifice and with holding from one's self. Happiness isn't found in consumption, it is found in giving of self and self control, to not go beyond ones means. What gift are you going to give Christ this Christmas season that will get His attention? Something to ponder this morning.
Dear Lord God, help me ponder what I can do this season that will make a difference in the life of someone else. Help me not get weighed down with over consumption of stuff or food. May I offer from my livelihood and not my surplus. Help me focus on the coming of Jesus and help others see the joy that He brings with Him. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Spiritual Vessel, pray for us.
33 days of Morning Glory, day 23 reflection.

Come Holy Spirit living in Mary. Fill my heart with praise to God for giving me Mary as my Spiritual Mother.
